.Itýs a fine Saturday morning, five oýclock, nobody on the road, not a single vehicle oozing out those carbon-monoxides. Itýs a perfect time for those who want to feel and taste the fresh air that the city never seems to offer to its people during any other time of the day. Too bad, people donýt seem to realize that you need to get up early to experience the beauty of this city, the fresh air, the orange rising sun, and the chirping noise of the early birds in search of the worms.
Sarah gets up from her bed. Itýs still dark outside her window but she smiles and puts her jogging sweatshirt. She walks out of her room, puts her running shoes, and heads out of her home. She stops when she reaches a park, and sits on a rock to witness the sunrise.
ýItýs beautiful isnýt it?ý somebody says from behind.
Sarah looks behind, and says ýHiý
The person just smiles and looks at the orange sun. He looks back at Sarah and says,
"I'm Chad"
Sarah looks at him and says,
"I'm Sarah. Nice to meet you."
"So Sarah, you come here everyday?" he asks.
"For the last 5 years, yes."
"Wow. This is my first day. I just moved to this city."
"That's good. This is a beautiful place. What do you do anyways?"
"I'm a director."
"Wow. What's your full name?"
"Chad Smith"
"And you are a director? How come I never heard of?"
"You're mistaken. I am in advertising. I direct advertisements not movies."
"Oh ! I see" Sarah takes a deep breath and gives an expression as if she finally cracked a puzzle. She looks at Chad and says,
"Do you like it?"
"Of course ! I love it. You should come by at my apartment sometimes and take a look at my works"
"I will, someday. What's your best work to date?" Sarah asks.
"I can't really say because I love all the work that I have done. You know it's like asking which one is your favorite children?"
"I understand. Okay then, tell me which one is your most popular work, I mean the one that the public has liked the most" Sarah insists in knowing more about Chad's work.
"You may have seen that advertisement of Hershey's with that weird guy on a bike, the one that aired last week" Chad says.
"Oh ! My god. That's your's. I mean you made that ad?" Sarah asks in disbelief.
"Yeah" Chad smiles.
"I love that advertisement. It's so cool" Sarah praises.
"Thanks" Chad smiles, he looks towards the sun again.
"I've got to go. I'll see you tomorrow Chad" Sarah gets up, and leaves.

.Sunday. The same park. The same time. The same rock. The same Sarah talking with the same Chad.
"So when are you showing me your works?" Sarah asks.
"What are your plans for today?" Chad asks.
"Nothing. I have a meeting with a friend in the afternoon. After that I am free"
"Okay. Then we can get together and you can see my work"
"That's great" Sarah says, thinks for a time, and asks
"What are you doing in the afternoon?"
"Nothing. Why?" Chad asks back.
"Then you can join me and my friend"
"Okay sure. Give me the time and place. I'll be there"
"Want some coffee?" Sarah asks.
"Sure"
They walk to a near-by coffee-shop and order some coffee. Sarah picks up a napkin and asks a pen from the person in the counter. She writes something down in the napkin and hands it to Chad.
"That's the place where we will meet tomorrow"
"Okay great"
Both finish their coffee, come out of the coffee-shop and go to opposite directions.

Hi Mick. Long time.Hmmmmmm anyways I read your story. It's very intresting. I was just wondering what happens after they met together and are u going to finish the story?
anyways again, it's mysterious ni ta. Just curious:-))

."Hello Chad" Sarah says and smiles at Chad, "Thanks for coming"
"My pleasure" Chad answers.
A kid, maybe 8 or 9 years of age, comes to them and says "Hi" to Chad. Sarah hugs the kid, and turns to Chad and says,
"Chad this is Andrew. Andrew this is my new friend Chad"
"Hello Andrew" Chad smiles at Andrew.
"Hi ! So are you guys here to support me?" Andrew asks.
Chad looks at Sarah and Sarah looks at Andrew and answers
"Of Course Andrew ! I'm here with Chad just to support you. You will win, I bet"
"Let's hope so" Andrew says, sighs and leaves.
The competition starts. Andrew gets in one of the gocarts and other participiants also take in their positions with their go-carts. Sarah and Chad hoot for Andrew. Andrew looks at them and waves his hand.
"He wants to be like Gordon" Sarah says to Chad.
"Oh really?" Chad smiles.
"Yeah. He doesn't have his dad. His mom's always at work. So I'm the one who he always calls for support during his competitions"
"That's very nice of you"
"Yeah" Sarah says and sighs, "I like to help people"
"You do ? What do you do besides helping people?"
"Nothing"
"Comeon there must be something that you do for a living"
"I have plenty of money to live the rest of my life. I don't work anymore"
"But you're so young. How can you not work?"
"I don't feel like working anymore although I'm just 23. I spend my time helping people. You know. Helping them overcome their fears, doubts, and all"
"Hmm. I don't know what to say" Chad smiles.
Just then the racers finish the race. Andrew comes first. He comes out of his race-vehicle and comes to Sarah and Chad.
"Thank for coming" he says to them.
"Anytime Andrew. Now let's go home" Sarah says.
Sarah, Chad and Andrew leave with Andrew getting his trophy from the organisers.

.Sarah and Chad in Chad's apartment. Both watching something in TV.
"These are so good Chad. When are they coming on TV?" Sarah asks.
"Never"Chad answers.
"Why not? They are so good"
"Coz these got rejected. The producers didn't like these."
"But still they are good"
"Yeah. I keep them because I still love'em"
Chad moves to the TV. Takes the cassette out of the player, and inserts another one. He turns to Sarah and asks
"Want some popcorn?"
"Nah. Got any ice-cream?"
Chad goes to the kitchen and comes back with a box of icecream. He hands the whole box to Sarah.
"Eat 'em all" Chad says and smiles.
"Thank you" Sarah smiles back.
"So got any boyfriend?" Chad asks.
"Nope. Why? You wanna be one?" Sarah speaks with a huge lump of ice-cream in her mouth.
"Nah. You're not my type"
"What do you mean? What's your type?"
"I like serious women, working hard, professional. You know...that type."
"Yeah, I know."
"Actually you're too good for me Sarah. Also I don't have a good history of girlfriends. I have been dumped four times"
"Wow ! What are you after? A world record?"
"Sort of"
"So you're not gonna approach any more girls?"
"Not any more"
"Then what? Guys?"
"Shit No! Sarah!"
"Just making sure you're not....you know" Sarah looks at him and gives a big laugh.
"Yeah! Very Funny"
"Hey ! What're your plans for dinner?"
"I'll order some china"
"Comeon. Let's have dinner in my place"
"Okay"
"Will you drop me home now?" Sarah asks.
Both pick their jackets. Sarah picks up the ice-cream box as well. Both head out of the door.

Good one so far mickthesick.......hoping for another twist like that of school story ;)
The only complain I have about Sarah ji is "Too bad, people donýt seem to realize that you need to get up early to experience the beauty of this city, the fresh air, the orange rising sun, and the chirping noise of the early birds in search of the worms. "
Easier said than done...uslai po kaam garna pardaina, tanna paisa cha..afno ta 8 ma kachya suru huncha :(. Besides, I can't compromise anything in life for beauty sleep especially during the morning........ye ye..gotcha! tyai bhayera po keti nabhetya raicha...joggin jana parla jasto cha next week dekhin :).......

.Somebody knocks on the door. Sarah stands up and goes to the door and opens it. Chad's standing out there with a bunch of flowers.
"Hello" Chad smiles.
"Come in. We've been waiting for you" Sarah smiles back and takes the flowers.
Both enter the door. Sarah takes him to the living room. There are a couple waiting for them.
"Chad this is my dad and this is my mom"
Chad shakes their hands. Sarah looks at her parents, and says
"Dad. Mom. This is Chad, my new friend"
After the introduction is over. They sit on the sofas. Sarah picks up the remote and turns on the TV. Chad looks at the Tv and smiles. Sarah looks at him and asks
"What's funny?"
"That's mine" Chad says.
"Oh really" Sarah shouts and looks at her dad and mom and says,
"Dad. Mom. Chad directs advertisements and this is one of them" and shows to the ad on TV.
"Oh really. That's a nice work you do Chad" dad says.
"Thank you sir. I'm just trying" Chad smiles back at him.
"Now don't be modest Chad. That's a fine job" mom says this time.
"Thank you ma'm"
"Everyone ! Dinner's ready" Sarah shouts from the dining room.
The dinner is served and everyone finish it. After the dinner everyone is infront of the TV again. Suddenly Sarah lloks at Chad and says
"Did you make this one too?"
"No Sarah! I don't make every single ad on TV. " Chad answers back.
"Oh yeah !" Sarah says.
"I didn't know you lived with your parents. I mean, you never told me" Chad changed the topic.
"I didn't want to. But then again I didn't want to leave dad and mom alone." Sarah answers.
"We wanted her to stay with us because you never know what will happen to her when...." dad says, when he is interrupted by Sarah.
"It's getting late. Let's go Chad" Sarah looks at Chad.
"Yeah. Thank you sir and ma'm for the fabulous dinner" Chad bid good bye to them.
"Why are you thanking 'em? I made the dinner" Sarah shouts at Chad.
"All of them laugh. Chad leaves, and Sarah says bye.

.Another beautiful but a little dark morning, a morning waiting for the sun to rise and fill the earth with its majestic touch of beauty. Sarah and Chad are there in the same park, the same stone, staring at the same direction for the same sun to shine again and fill in its glory over a new day.
"Has anyone ever told you that you have very beautiful eyes?" Chad asks.
"No. never. Why?" Sarah smiles and asks Chad hoping for more praise.
"Because you don't have beautiful eyes" Chad smiles and laughs loud.
"Oh my god ! I didn't know you were this funny. Nice joke." Sarah loses her smile and becomes serious.
"I didn't hurt you. Did I?" Chad asks.
"No. Not at all. Just a little sore here" Sarah points at her heart and says.
"I'm sorry Sarah. You know it was just a joke. Right?" Chad comes close to her and hugs her.
Sarah looks at the distant tree, her face turns sad, and she says
"You know Chad. I always saw my friends with their boyfriends and you know what I always thought?"
"What?"
"Why can't I have a boyfriend?"
Chad looks at Sarah, hugs her tight, and looks at the direction of the sun, and says
"You know Sarah. I have known you only for about a week now"
"Yeah. So."
"And I've found you to be very amazing and interesting"
"Hah. You're flattering me"
"No. Seriously. Everytime I talk to you and get to know you closer and closer, I think of the people who don't know you. And you know what I think?"
"What?"
"That they are missing what it feels like to know a great girl, a sweet girl, a nice girl like you"
"That's so sweet Chad. Now I'm flattered" Sarah looks at Chad, and hugs him tighter.
"Yea. It's true Sarah. I feel glad that I know you and I feel more than happy to have known the great person that is you"
Sarah loos at him again and sighs. She smiles and has no answer to that comment. Instead she looks back towards the horizon at the orange rising sun. She looks back at Chad and says
"You know Chad. I want to be like that sun. Spreading equal happiness to all, equal comfort and strength"
"You are like that sun Sarah" Chad says and keeps hugging her.

.Chad is working in his office. There are pictures and files lying allover alongside numerous tapes and cds. Somebody enters the office and says something to Chad. Chad leaves everything, and comes out of his office.
"Hey ! What a surprise" Chad says.
"Yeah ! I was just checking if you really work" Sarah smiled.
"Come on in."
Sarah steps in his office. She looks around and says
"You're messy. Need any help cleaning the stuff here. You know I don't have a job so I could help you clean this mess"
"Nah. That's okay. I'm used to it. So...... want some coffee?" Chad asks.
"Nope. Got any ice-cream?" Sarah smiles.
"Not here. Let's go out. There's an ice-cream parlor outside."
"Okay. And you're paying for it right?"
"Of course I'm paying for it"
They both come out of the office and move across the lobby. Suddenly Chad brings his mouth close to Sarah's ear and says
"See that woman there....with the red sweater on"
"Yeah. So?"
"Well ! She was my fourth girlfriend. I mean the last girlfriend"
"Hmm. Looks pretty"
The woman wearing the red sweater looks at them. They approach her and the woman says Hi to Chad, and looks at Sarah.
"Sarah. This is Christine. We work together" Chad says, turns to Christine and says
"Christine. This is Sarah..."
Sarah interrupts and says
"His girlfriend"
Chad doesn't react and instead keeps quiet. He has a puzzled look at his face and looks at Sarah.
"Oh ! She's pretty" Christine says.
"Thank you" Chad replies.
"If you excuse us. We have some ice-cream to eat"Sarah says and smiles at Christine.
Christine keeps looking at them untill they are out of sight.Sarah and Chad go out of the building and into the ice-cream parlor. They order some ice-cream and sit on a table near the window.
"Haha. Did you see the look at her face?" Sarah laughs.
"Yeah ! But that was not very nice Sarah. I didn't know what to say at that time. Did you look at my face"
"Nah. I was busy looking at her face go red"
"Still. It wasn't a good thing to do"
"Why not? She left a nice man like you. I made her feel a little jealous. Nothing's wrong with that right?"
"But still. A lie is a lie, Sarah"
Sarah looks at him and doesn't care what he says. She keeps scooping the ice-cream, and putting in her mouth. Chad also keeps eating his ice-cream.
"Hold on! There's some ice-cream on your cheek" Sarah says.
"How did it get there?" Chad asks.
"I don't know. Maybe you eat like a kid"
"Maybe"
"I'll get it" Sarah says and gets the ice-cream on his cheek with her fingers, and wipes it on his coat.
"That'll make the coat dirty ..Sarah"
"Don't worry. I'll wash it for you if you don't want to wash it"
Chad shrugs off, eats his icecream and stares outside the window. He thinks for a while and looks at Sarah and says
"That was really nice of you Sarah."
"What? Getting the icecream off your cheek?"
"No. What you said in front of Christine"
"Now see. That's called help. I helped you there"
"Thanks"
"Anytime" Sarah says, and looks at Chad smiling.
"What?" Chad asks.
"Can I have one more ice-cream?" Sarah asks smilingly.
"Sure" Chad gets up, goes to the counter, and comes back with a cone full of strawberry vanilla.
Sarah takes the cone, and starts enjoying it. Both keep talking and look outside the window.

.Chad is working in his office. He has tapes and cds lying all over the place. Numerous papers and pictures surround him. He is thinking very hard and looks at the pictures and papers turn by turn. Just then the phone rings. Chad goes to the table and picks up the phone.
"Hello" Chad answers the phone.
"Won't you take me out to dinner today?" Sarah asks from the other side.
"What's the occasion Sarah?"
"Because it's my birthday"
"Happy birthday "
"Thank you. Now take me to dinner"
"Okay. I'll come and pick you up at six."
"That's 30 minutes from now. I'll be waiting"
"Yup. I'll be there"
Chad puts the phone down. He looks at his watch, picks up his coat and walks out of his office. After half an hour both of them are in a restaurant. A waiter brings a birthday cake and puts it on their table.
"I can't wait to finish this cake" Sarah says and smiles at Chad.
"You like sweet things. Ice cream, cakes." Chad hands Sarah a knife and says.
Sarah blows the candles, and cuts the cake. She puts a piece into Chad's mouth. Chad cuts another piece and puts into Sarah's mouth.
"Happy birthday" Chad says.
"Thank you" Sarah thanks him.
"You know. It would have been better if we celebrated with your parents"
"I already did. I always celebrate with them first, then separately with friends"
"Oh ! I see. Is that some kind of a family ritual or what?"
"No. That's how I like it"
"Okay. I've got no problem with that"
"See. The main reason for celebrating separately is because I get to eat separate cakes"
"Okay. Now I get it"
Chad leans to his right and takes out something from underneath the chair. He hands it to Sarah.
"What's in this box?"Sarah asks.
"Take a look" Chad answers smilingly.
Sarah opens the box and shouts loud,
"Ice-cream !!!"
She laughs, comes out of her chair and hugs Chad.
"Thank you Chad" She says with a smile.
"That'll last for the whole month" Chad says.
"Not enough. I'll finish these in a week"
Both laugh. The waiter brings their dinner in their table. They finish their dinner and head out of the restaurant.
"Hey ! Let me buy you some flowers" Chad says and runs into a store, and comes back after a minute with a huge bouquet of flowers.
"Thank you. Hmm. These are so pretty" Sarah smells the flowers and says.
"Just like you" Chad smiles and hugs Sarah.
