Why don't you go back to your precious country and do something about it? Stop whining otherwise, idiot!

I think it would be a great idea. Traffic is posing as a serious problem in the metropolitan Kathmandu area. But isn't Bikram tempo a form of car pooling anyway??? Just a thought!!!

Car pooling can never work in KTM. People don't have cars. Lots of them are Tempos, motorcycles ,buses and mini Buses. Some suggestions. 1. Build more wide roads with multiple lanes. 2. Build a good train system. 3. Build new Kathmandu somewhere outside Chakrapath. Imagine we build a downtown new Kathmandu with multiple sky scrappers. cheers.

I second Bhole Baba ji. The carrying capacity of existing road infrastructure has been more than exploited. For the same reason, the condition of roads are very bad at least in kathmandu. Excess influx of maruti type of cars needs to stop at some point by some policy means like high tariffs/loan rates, and a mass transit system should be promoted in the long run. Old vehicles ought to be phased out. Why Singaporeans with about 50 times more per capita income than of Nepal are surviving without dense autos in their territory, and why not we? There are few frontiers for a road expansion inside ring road. Construction of parallel roads along the bagmati river, expanding roads along dhobikhola and bishnumati will give some relief to this conjestion....Any urban designer architects, or road engineers here to address the problem?

First of all read the caption associated with the picture, which reads as "Traffic jam in front of the Royal Palace (Kantipath-Thamel intersection) caused by student protests at Amrit Science and Saraswoti college, Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 14" Since Bhunte already second it,I Third Bhole Baba ji's solution ;)
