Hello "Khasi" and anybody else who might be interested,

GBNC is planning on having a summer BBQ on the 4th of August, 2001 in the park outside Aresenal Mall in Watertown. The venue is being checked upon as I am writing this, so this has not been confirmed yet. We will make a formal announcement once we are able to get the place for sure.

Thanks for inquiring.

Bik.

I guess we are actually going tohave the picnic in Snow Storm I assume .... Just shows how hard GBNC is working for its annual events. Forget extra curricular activities. I guess date and time is nonexistant for the current GBNC president.

It would be so good if you could use your real names when posting your comments, because that would give me a chance to explain to you personally the reasons behind why we have not been able to do some of all the things that you would like us to do.

Is there some sort of an itenary for the program ??? Or is it !st come 1st serve basis? What sort of food are you serving ?? Is there going to a service for the graduates ?? Till what time are you serving food ??? It would be nice if you could post the itenary so people can plan accordingly.

GRADUATE:

all you are concerned is food. how pathetic. sounds like you have not gotten to eat for a whole year. your are waiting for gbnc to providee this meal of your life time. do you ever even ask yourself what i can do for the community, how i can help gbnc, how i can be help to the development of the community?? I think the answer is pretty obvious.

if you are graduating, congratulations. and, i sincerely hope you will adjust your attitude. this kind of attitude, me,me, me, I, I , I; my, my ,my won't get you very far. with this kind of though your life will be pretty shallow.

ask not what your GBNC can do but ask what you can do to GBNC.

I have been in boston now for almost a year. Everything about GBNC seems to be very iffy. There's no set schedules for anything. I have not seen any active involvement of GBNC for the Nepalis living in Boston as the name suggests. There seems to be no agenda. It seems like when people complain they come up with a solution. Why do we even need a formal GBNC council. It seems like GBNC council has inherited traits from the government of Nepal. Very inactive and dull. Only thing active about gbnc is this site. Then again I believe it's not GBNC that makes it active but the visitors. So what's going on GBNC members??

Peeved!!!
For your kind information, I am not only asking this info for me but for the whole community. Your peanut size mind could not comprehend that there are a lot of Nepali people that are vegetarians, and lot lot of them do not eat beef.
As for contributing for the community... I am not an executive member. But as a member I will be contributing that $7 for the event. If the comittee needs help they should ask for it. Post a sign on this site... thats what it is for right ????
If there is will there is a way. But with all the dilly dallying.... the comittee does not even seem like they want to do anything this year. If they need manpower or anything they should let their members know. We are not GOD to know what going on.

ask not what your GBNC can do but ask what you can do to GBNC

Hey dude!!!!
What do you want us to do to GBNC or rather what your GBNC can do ???? If you are going to quote someone make sure you get it right. Don't do a half assed job.

Greetings,

Thank you everyone for generating some noise about this event. I have followed Graduate's advice and posted a Help Posting on this site. I hope any of you who could volunteer some time will do so.

As for the itinerary of the day, it is going to be a fairly relaxing day. We expect people to show up starting around 3pm, and the place to be vacant by 8pm. Food and soda will be available through out the afternoon. There is also a basketball court and we might even be able to play some games on the field. There is a baseball field in the park.

Bik.
