. during and after the war in Iraq there have been 500 US soldiers dead, all for the sake of WMD's...gosh that's a big number...
US anti-war activists placed 500 pairs of boots on Chicago's Federal Plaza - each representing a soldier killed in Iraq.

I think, war is not fought without people being killed. Afterall, was is war. If a war is to find out WMDs, then 500 is not a big number. What if Iraq had WMDs, and it had used against innocent people like you and me, there would have been a mass killing.
Just my viewpoint.

Well, Saddam did use nerve gas and so on on his people, didn't he? Thousands of Iraqi people who opposed the regime were killed. The coalition force did a favor by removing Saddam and his regime from the power.
As far as WMD goes, there was never any in Iraq otherwise they would've found already.

Luckydude, while Saddam was gassing by the thousends, US and Iraq were slipping and sliding their hands with oil deals, it was when Saddam tried to make an attempt on senior Bushes life, little George wanted a revenge, he might have taken Saddam and his clans out but there goes the innocent lives of hundreds of soulders. Last time I checked the average age was 28..., that is 500 plus 28 year olds dead (and counting) , and that is just from this side, what a loss!!
and who knows for sure the next regeme will not be worse off??
An email from a fallen cadet to his father read...I may die here but I do not stand for what I am doing here.

Thanks for the pic mickthesick. it's really beautiful, powerful, sad and to the point. we always hear about US soldiers dying and the count and all that - which is understandable, after all every country has its interest. Still I have always wondered how many Iraqis have died (civilians). Its probably a sad figure, wonder how many of those courtyards would needed if similar installation would be undertaken?
