Right now, I'd have to say its the wolves......Good for Garnett and his co. finally getting some respect.
But you can't say the same bout the post season..when it boils down to best team, it has to win championship.........just wait till lakers are healthy..and we'll see all the ridiculous stats and the showtime :).
NBA is far more competitive this year than past few years. Though west clearly has the advantage, Detroit and Indiana are the team to watch in the East. But championship is gonna stay in the West, most preferably for me in the STAPLES :)

oys you keep on waitin fo ur lakers to be healthy.. then trophy goes to either sacramento or wolves.. after webber returns.. uh.. they will be one hell of a team.. n mah man KG n inc. gonna go to final without a shadow of doubt..
oie oys.. wtucha say bout houston.. they been doing preety well defensively, though they sumtime struggle on their offense, the big man is getter better, he still has way to go to prove wut people have anticipated, but he's shootin em 16-18 ft. jumpers quite well..

WOLVES playing great, so are MAVS, KINGS ain't bad. SPURS is still the team to beat in west :)
LAKERS don't even worth talking here, they will be playing in someone else floor for the first round
DUNCAN (another MVP type season) and SPURS rock.

Sacramento queens only have offense....
Portland Jailbreakers are nowhere to be seen...
San Antonio has a VP(without M) who still lose when he scores 25 points n 20 rebounds..
Memphis and Denver are riding luck so far.....
T-wolves can howl as much as they can in the regular season......Slap them hard, and they'll kneel down :P (first round of playoffs~their achilles heel)
Houston......we have a problem! They only play defense......
Dallas......They gotta realize, superstars need to play defense too :).
So the bottomline..Destiny~Lakers~Destiny!

I dont care who gets the MVP, or which team will be crowned as a winner, but i love to see Mavericks and Rockets playing good.
Anyway, basketball comes second after Football.

Yes, in previous years, KG played like a MVP, but he was always conquered by TD and TD's team record. TD's stats were always better than KG, except for rebounds. This year, KG has better stats over TD, and the most important point to note that TWolves are better team this year and maintaining their best record in midwest. So, TD has 90% chance to have that MVP hardware:)
Well, NBA is going through its midseason, and we just can't predict who will win champianship this year. There has been a lot changes in each team this season, especially coaches in east.
Yet, the Lakers are not out of champianship contest. It just that they are going through bad time with the news of Malone out until March. They still have Kobe, GP, and big Shaq. However, I would say Laker's race for the title depends on how well Shaq plays. Shaq had been playing as a dominant low post center ever since he got drafted in NBA. Now, he looks like he's fatigued fatigued after winning 3 champianship in a row. He's not hungry for MVP hardware (AS's lang) and champianship rings. In brief, the Lakers still have chance to win the title if Shaq plays like how he used to play.
TWolves also have very good chance to go to the final this year. Sam Cassel is definately the best point guard in west right now. Sprewell also playing better.

LAKERS R STILL THE TEAM TO BEAT!!! i guess everybody is forgettin what they r goin through....but still they r at no 2 spot .....DALLAS can score but can they play good defense? well..TWOLVES....same ol' story... SACREMENTO QUEENS..umm...they suck anyways...if they couldnt beat the lakers at their home at game 7, when the hell they gonna beat them ....no way!!! Watch Out for Indiana Pacers .....they r good in east....detriot needs to score more points....they cant be scoring less than 75 a game..... anwyas.....LAKERS R STILL THE BEST TEAM!!!

Lakers... Lakers.. I know they are a good team with too many talents but still they are vulnerable. They are not AS dominant as everybody expected. I guess western conference is darn tough as much as open for any team. Right now, T-Wolves are playing one solid team work ball game. And BIG 3S are taking care of the business night in and night out. I guess T-Wolves will be very well balance team once everybody gets on its healthy feet. Let's see. Still I am all the way for MVP KG and T-Wolves.

YB, I agree with you that wolves have the depth of the stars...but in the court, in the real game, at the moment of truth, at the spur of the moment..in the floor down there......its JUST FIVE vs. FIVE..and in those five.......2 SUPERstars with three rings in their backs can easily outplay five Superstars.....(cassell was a second fiddle in houston's championships:P)
I don't know bout the game seven of lakers-sacramento..but game seven between Lakers-Blazers in 2000. The game for which I woke up at around 5 30 am, sneaked to the other room at almost perfect silence and watched till lakers came from 15 point deficit in the fourth quarter to overpower the star-studded blazers team then was something special...I still recall that "hanne goru ko look" of my dad when I jumped up in joy when the buzzer went off....also a constant reminder that Laker's always the team to beat!!!!

I understand your liking of basketball because I myself used to play it a lot. But NBA is boring as hell until the playoffs starts. By the way, I am a Lakers fan too. But your saying football do not require any finnesse or Skills is hillarious. Actually, football is the most methodical game you will see in the sports. It is all about planning and planning and more planning. Football is synonym to strategy. You are right, hardly any nepalese play football because it is just too complicated for us to play physically. But hey, I can throw a football like any quarterback--- did you see that spiral going on the ball that I just threw to my wide reciever-- But as far as watching it, you can not beat the excitement. Unless you are not into football like me, you will see it as a donkey game regardless.
By the way go Lakers...well...I meant to say go Panthers!!!

Ditto YB. What a game!!!! Poor Lakers.... I know I know they were short hand but still BIG W always feels good. T-Wolves with big 3s can come back to any time in any game. Shaq or Kevin Garnet or Tim Duncan.
