If I could, I would... Erase the murky gray, With one stroke of my brush, Reveal the Saphire, Seeped in midnight blue. Uncover the luminous, radiant, phospherous, glow of the midnight moon. Scrape the scorching red, splatter it brilliant purple, tint it soothing aqua, blot each gray line of despair. Lift off the clouds, splash colors of rainbow, pick each dewy drop of tearlets, pour them into my palette. From there, I'd steep you in warm colours, hues of soft yellows, ochre and sienna, I'd bathe you in rosy hues, like a warm winter sun. And... With a fine sable brush, trace the lights in your eyes, a speckle of gold, for a shine, erase each pain in your mind, and like a fine caligraphy, etch the lyrics of serenity. If I could, I surely would... Capture the seconds, protect your heart, retrace my steps, unsing those songs, unwrite those letters, unsay such words, I'd believe my heart, unhear your words! uncount those moments, Just turn back the clock! If I could...I'd dance to a second life! **Recycled from the archives! **************************** Govin ji: Beautifully written. Thanks, there has been a dearth of poetry these wintry days. Rusty, Robert Frost, Zero Gravity, NK, S. Gal, DWI, Disco........ Where O' where art thou???
