We are writing this letter on the behalf of Samrita Lohani, a graduate student at the University of New Haven, Connecticut and currently admitted to St. Raphael Hospital, New Haven, CT. Samrita has recently been diagnosed Iga Nephropathy with both renal failure. She has to be on dialysis thrice a week and finally undergo kidney transplantation. Because of her limited insurance coverage from school, she has not been able to get an outpatient dialysis and undergo further treatment. The State of Connecticut is covering her inpatient dialysis as an emergency situation. However, since Samrita is getting treatment in hospital for almost two months, she is now facing financial burden besides her health condition. We, her friends, family and relatives are trying to raise sufficient funds to make outpatient dialysis and kidney transplantation possible. We request everybody for his/her possible assistance.
