I really don't see any other time than morning to play soccer game in place like Arizona on july, unless game can be arranged indoor which i don't see possibility. Having game in the morning has some pros too, besides weather, players can enjoy rest of days on other programs. who is praticipating this year? Friendly maches can be arranged among east coast teams on April or May. what do u guys think? |

Babaji, More than "coming with the idea", it takes some organization to request to be a host. I don't know of any other organization coming as strongly as Arizona dudes to claim to be the host. We are thankful to Arizona and sports that early in the morning is a great idea, specially in a place like AZ. The only down part may be that few players aren't morning person and there would be lot less spectators to cheer teams up. |

Sorry At, ANMA'S soccer tournament is not worth to praticipate for visiting teams. You might have noticed that most of teams who had praticipated ANMA conventions, did not praticipate again. |

Come On People! Don't be so Pathetic. Maybe, Arrogant is a better word. The issue about AZ hosting ANA had been discussed here in SAJHA a long time ago. If anyone wants to host this Convention they should have had spoken at the occassion. I am proud of folks @ AZ that they did show some heart. Hosting ANA is not a joke. Everyone wishes ANA be hosted in a better location. But only few States are capable of doing so. At least during the time when this topic was dicussed. But again, AZ should be given a chance. ANA is not just about EAST COAST or West COAST. It's about whole of AMERICA. So, every single region should be given a chance. I do Honestly agree with most of you Folks that AZ is not the most desirable location. But hey! Be happy, at Least ANA is happening. In this matter my heart goes with folks @ AZ. And as about soccer in the morning @ 6. oOPs the schedule is ................ But hey let's give them a chance. None would like to be out there in the desert heat (110+) around daytime. Yeah, most of us will be in bed at that time but WE gotta do what we gotta do. No complain about it. And as of ANMA thing MR. AT. Don't be so pathetic. There's no need for ANMA when ANA is already there and is tremendously popular. As I see it you guys are just creating a faction amongst us NEpalese. But again that's how the History of Nepalese people is. Need I say more?? Shouldn't we unite and get along as ONE. If you guys are so ineterested in Hosting such Conventions then why not discuss with ANA board and seeh the chance of hosting ANA. ANyways, I do accept any comments regarding this issue. hey Proud Nepali.. I think you are new to this country. ANMA was actually founded before ANA. ANMA was founded in 1982 whereas ANA in 1983. ANMA stands for Association of Nepalese in Midwest America. So usually the particpiants will be from Midwest Region. So don't think that ANMA is just a new association. Yes its true that the particpation during ANA is greater than ANMA, becuase usually ANA is held in eastern part of the US where there is more Nepalese. Its good that Arizona is hosting. Who says that there is few Nepalese in that area? think about California, Texas, and even Colorado. Recently Koseli Night was held in Texas, and I think the turnout was about 400 (i f I am not wrong). So there are many Nepalese in these near by states. And also ANA with its meaning doesn't just restrict any region. So it will be a different taste to do in the west. Actually it was in Colorado last time. SO its a little break from the east. Thats what I think.... |

Proud NEpali, I think conventions like ANMA is for people who don't want to run into people like you in ANA conventions. hahaah...Besides think about it coolly - ANA is held in all parts of US and its not very convenient for people living in east to go to west coast and vice versa. so why not have at least one close to ur place so u can go to it. And how about having one in midwest, which is center of it all. did u even think that way? If everyone was lazy like u and khuta taning, then american nepali community would have become lazy basti. we'd all be saying - let ANA do this - let ANA do that and not do anything ourselves. that's my two cents by the way. |

Guys, It will be fruitful if we talk more about incoming ANA convention than other things. Let's give good suggestions phoenix folks so that they can organize sports better ways..more professionaly. I remember we had so many complains about denver commitee after conventions.....lets help phoenix folks so that they would not make same mistakes. I don;t see possibility of having game in afternoon so it has to be in the morning and can't have more than one game a day that makes 3 days schedule. - publishing soccer/basket ball schedule 2 months earlier would help us alot..coz we need to buy tickets in advance to get in cheap. any suggestions.. |

MR. COOLNEPALI! It was nice to Know that you have found a version of my nick for yourself. No big deal. There are few others doing the same thing. AND Where did I mention that ANMA is a younger Organization than ANMA? I am just saying ANA is much more popular. By the how many people have heard about ANMA??? I came to hear about it here in SAJHA only. Still NO hard feelings about it. It's good that folks are organizing activities out there. But it would have been better if those activities were different than those of ANA. And hey I did mention that ANA should be held in different regions. MIDWEST or SOUTH or anywhere doesn't matter but should be hosted at different places so folks from all over AMEricA could get their chances. It was good to know that Koseli Sajh was highly successful in TEXAS. It is stupid assume that East COast has majority of the Nepalese. I see/hear About lots of Nepalese in CO, MN,LA,NE, WA,TX, OK, etc. In this regard AZ's hosting ANA is a big PLUS. I have been appreciative about it all the time. So, MR. C(F)OOLNepali you need to understand what I were trying to say. I guess GRammar was not the issue there. At the least you do Feel for ANA. Tell about your feeling to other folks hosting ANMA. As an executive member of ANA, perhaps I can shed some light on the issues raised: 1. Phoenix. Well it is decided and nothing can be done to change that. ANA depends on local organizations to volunteer for hosting annual convention. Last year in Colorado, only Phonix showed interest and that was that. People were expecting Dallas to host 2004 convention, but Dallas did not come forward. It looks like it y want to host next year's convention. It is not offical yet though!! 2. Sports: Please contact Sujit Pant spant@yahoo.com if you have any concerns or constructive suggestions. 3. Visit www.ana2004.org for detail. It has disussion forums on sports as well as cultrural programs. Make your concern known to the organization committee via this channel. |

If you think your english is superior than others', i sincerely advise you to take ENG101 or take your draft posting to an english editor before you post it here. Sajha.com is meant for an informal discussion, and people here would care less for the grammer, spellings, choice of words, etc. I have witnessed here sophisticated hard to comprehend advandaced english like that of Sitara or Czar or rastafariya type of nepali-english. Yet, people are able to actively communicate and participate in discussion here. My wish for you is try to be proudNepali, but not shameNepali. |

Proud Nepali bhai/ dai....I went through some of your postings here. They were written well and I am absolutely impressed with what you have done to yourself..may be your families and friends, that quite an achievement given the facts that we all have to go through a lot in this Pardesh. But since you seem to have a very good social standing, as your self-written resume calls it, I would say, you have said that ANMA has no need to be there. I want you to first have a synopsis of what ANMA or ANA is and how unfortunate it is for Nepalese here to be split, I think you should ask some of the members associated with ANA. How the history has divided these two groups. And by the way, the real reason for the split of these two groups has to do with the King Birendra's visit back in 2034 when some of the royalist sole licking frontmen were so eager to declare themselves as the leaders of nepalese in america where as the majority who had a massive effort in organization didn't even know about it. Now I leave it upto you the job to find who were responsible for the split and where are these people now in ANA or ANMA? Hopefully you will find it and write here too as I hope since you have been hitting on Lady Bug so intensely. |

I am in the postion of getting all The nEpalese under One roof. if you can tell more about ANMA and ANA taking different Routes then that will be so nice of you. Don't worry meera, His teeth are all intact. He lost the front two tooth couple of months ago in NYC but I found them and put them in proper places and braced them. LadyBug sis, I am not surprised with the natural alliance of like minded people such as Saddam and Osama. One is just pulled out of his spider hole, and another still holed up somewhere but still terrorizing peace loving people here. These kinds of slum loving cheap people who are even not worth a piece of toilet paper don’t deserve any attention from us. Despite busy schedule presenting papers for some int’l conferences during summer, I was initially thinking of releasing some time for ANA meeting. Some of these muscle flexing creatures would definitely discourage anyone who wants to meet other fellow Nepali there. The episode last year in Colorado is a burning example. I’m not familiar with the ANA conventions earlier, but I am afraid if that is the trend there. It is a real shame for these types of people who contribute bad impression about Nepal and Nepali. Rebuilding image may take sometime though. Will write more in the reply this weekend…In the next few days some busy meeting with a nobel laurate …ke garne yeha ko real jindagani arkai chha.. ANMA people/fans whoever had been putting postings about it I had made myself clear in my previous postings. I had been thankful of the people who had been producing Infos about the whereabouts of ANA and ANMA. I had corrected myself from any under-statements about ANMA. I hope you guys understood that. I had always been of the same opinion. We all Nepalese had to be under one RooF. Be it ANA or ANMA. Since ANA has a better reach and covers up every single regions in the AMericas I had been more supportive of it. But people are free to make their own claims. And TO san BRO, I had been appreciative of every little things (except unworthy arguments people make and indecent pictures people post which is out of his control) Sajha has been offering and I have been very respectful towards you in every accounts. I Have seen that people have been trying to provoke you against me but i do have faith in you that you make your own judegments. feel free to come out with any suggestions for me including bans if you think that's what I deserve.
