This is a part of what Bush said in his interview to NBC : "I'm a war president. I make decisions here in the Oval Office in foreign policy matters with war on my mind," he said. This confirms he has no clue on what he talks.

dada, I think other people were smart/cunning enough to put him in the highest office. He on the other hand.....well, all I can say is if getting an undergrad from Yale and a MBA from Harvard is going to make someone that inarticulate, then we're better off going to community colleges.

I agree with you, Chheten. Community colleges are great because they fill up the gaps. I doubt if president Bush ever went to a community college. May be we should invite him in our "Macroeconomics" class. Whad'ya say? peace in Nepal Luckydude

Chetan ji, I don't think Yale or Harvard or any college can change ur personality. Not that I go an IV league. Anyway, this "dumb" guy is the most powerful man in the world... we got no choice

Bush's personality??! I'd rather not comment on that! If I start I know I won't be able to stop myself. And besides, it's a good tuesday morning. Why spoil the rest of the day by commenting on an unpleasant subject? Dada ji, as for the most powerful man, my vote is on Greenspan.

If bush is dumb then what do you say about the Americans who elected him and might still elect him in the upcoming election? I say he is smart enough to play dumb to win mojority of American public's mindset.

Bush has massive appeal among the right-wing Christian conservatives. To say that he won the 2000 election fair and square is a misstatement. The country is highly polarized because of his actions. We cannot put all Americans in the same group and label them as being "dumb."

He had less total popular vote than Al Gore in 2000 Presidential election but more electoral vote. So in that sense, he does not ..not even closely represents all americans.

what a stupid thing to say. i remember a rescent poll in which bush was voted the dumbest president ever.NO WONDER! the way he always keeps shunning press confrences and open debates clearly show his lack of political know-how and necessary insights to be a US president. i have always been anti-bush, not because i am a democrat, but because he leaves me no ground to believe he can make any more sane choices. i really hope for the sake of one and all that Kerry burries him- but if osama is caught, it may turn out to be a whole new ball game!

Then according to Chheten, Qqest and Decadence, Bush will loose in a landslide the coming election....I personally hope so.

With Bushe's military career (or lack of it) under microscopic scrutiny, I wonder how those who lost their family members in Iraq feel about his preemptive, pre-war agendas. Sending someone else's sons and daughters to war while having evaded going to one, is not a minor issue.

Peggy Noonan, the Reagan speechwriter, had this to say on Sunday in opinionjournal.com about Mr. Bush's "Meet the Press" interview: "The president seemed tired, unsure and often bumbling. His answers were repetitive, and when he tried to clarify them he tended to make them worse."
