What would be a good gift to send to a friend (a girl) in Valentine's Day?

Ideas and suggestions are welcome....

There is a comparison of some Nepali website to send gifts to Nepal on Valentine’s Day
bideshi Posted on 10-Feb-04 07:27 AM

If she is just a friend, yes don't send her anything.Otherwise she might be hurt later:-(
But if she is more than a friend or if she was your friend and now u have started to love her or u have some soft side for her somewhere in your heart and u want to try and see her response, then send her chocolates(good one,not pipalmate) and roses!:-)Eitherway,best of luck to u!
hansy420 Posted on 10-Feb-04 07:39 AM

If I were you, I wouldn't send roses cause its too common...try different flowers, be creative...thats all I have to say at this time :D
Chheten Posted on 10-Feb-04 08:34 AM

I don't think St. Valentine is a noteworthy figure in our religion. But, send her the usual--allergies and obesity pills. Oh, I'm sorry. I meant flowers and chocolates. The flowers might wilt by the time they get there, but hey, it's the gesture that counts, right?
The_Gentleman Posted on 10-Feb-04 11:23 AM

just send her a card and express that on an occassion like this u still think about her. beleive me she'd be overwhelmed
SITARA Posted on 10-Feb-04 02:19 PM

Send her a poem! ;)
south Posted on 10-Feb-04 02:44 PM

last year i read news that school and college girls were waiting on queue to buy cards, that really surprised me. well when i was in nepal, a lot of guys and girls used to talk about valentine's day and gifts and all and i thought like in west it must be a really great day. but after i came here i found nothig as such. i mean it is not as big as i thought and its a pretty normal day and i did nt see so many people rusing to buy cards or flowers for their valentine.

so i am not gonna send anyhting to nepal. i will sugest you to send a good email. show her how much you love and how important is she in your life.

Bhunte Posted on 11-Feb-04 04:36 PM

some of the items you may consider for a gift are digital cameras, laptop, cordless phone, mobile, palm pilot, apparels, etc...
hansy420 Posted on 12-Feb-04 07:23 AM

FMN, sorry, although you wrote "send to a friend", I should've guessed better. I think its a great idea to send her a poem but not everyone can actually write....good! Some may come up with a line or two(kani kani) but theres always a risk invovled turning V Day into May day(or even gaijatra day). I'm on the same boat. Me also looking for a heart melting poem to send it to "her". Any volunteers? Thanks.

I got this in my email today:

I LUV YOU YES I DO

I got your back
You got mine,
I'll help you out
Anytime.

To see you hurt
To see you cry,
Makes me weep
And wanna die.

And if you agree
To never fight,
It wouldn't matter
Who's wrong or right.

If a broken heart
Needs a mend,
I'll be right there
To the end.

If your cheeks are wet
From drops of tears,
Don't you worry,
Let go of your fears.

Hand in hand
Love is sent,
We'll be friends
Till the end
