This wednesday on falgun 6 is maha shiva ratri. It is a widely known fact that there are extreme worshippers of Shiv whose beliefs are radical. For example on the day of Shiv ratri they take drugs and do other unacceptable stuff. However, we know that Shiv is the one who meditates. He is the symbol of acceptance and of understanding. There are many good facets of Shiva which if we embody in our daily life, will make it shine even further.

Shiva Ratri is being celebrated in Houston next saturday. It is being held in the Krishna Pranami Mandir in Richmond. Pls attend if you can. For those who don't know, the temple was made last year by a Nepali-Guruji with the help of the pious Pranamis of the Indian subcontinent. It is located in a serene milieu of George Ranch that is both refreshing and inspiring. Furthermore, plans are afoot to install the replica of Pashupati Nath in the mandir premise. Finally an old Shiva Ratri song from one Hindi movie that I used to like very much once. Jai Jai Shivashankar Kaataa lagena Kankar ki pyaalaa tere naamkaa piyaa Ho..Gira Jaaungi mein mara jaaungi jo tune mujhe thaam na liyaa ..
