I see folks trying hard to be "POLITICALLY CORRECT", or to be precise "CIVILIZED." Who gives a rat ass on what words you choose. No matter how you put it and/or you add masala to your lines - facts don't change. Lets get to the bottomline shall we? I know you will probably give me a long nonsense lecture on my point of view.

Whether you call that damn car "PRE-OWNED" OR "REFURBISHED," that lemon is still a used car. Lets get real people.

Please post your comments, for a change get rid of that "Politically correct" stand, however, don't get too personal. Just throw-in your thoughts.

I am sorry to say, but if you want to get somewhere, be "Civilized" (as they would put it) or even for the sheer day to day survival - YOU will have to play by the rule. That's the way is has been going on and for the forseeable future, I don't see it changing. As is the case, the romanticized image certainly is working and sure is embillished language. YOu are like a a big cone of icecream, the more you can make yourself seem tasty, the more you would be licked.

I think there is a big difference between being POLITICALLY correct in using vocabulary that does not offend anyone... and using useless fancy words in marketing... Since when is a car going to be offended if it is referred to as used, or a lemon or a piece of sh*t? That has nothing to do with PC or un-PC...

This whole world is aobut marketing!!! Everybody is trying to sell something somewhere: selling products, used crap, ideas, views.....

A PRE-OWNED car might be a peice of junk but it won't be sold unless it is called so. We are soo used to this CIVILIZED language of capitalistic world that sometimes we find ourself repeating the POLITICALLY CORRECT words without even thinking.

You can say it again U_day. Couldn't agree with you more. All these adds and this capitalistic s**t is twisting the way we think. All the romanticized image they potray is just an illusionistic realism which we find ourselves pondering over and over again never finding the way out. Let's see at the bigger picture - let's open our eyes. I would rather people say to my face that " I am a piece of shit" than " It pays to be descent and honest". The problem with Politically correct language is that it brings equivocality in the language. State the fact as it is, do not try to bend it so as to fit your need.

..its all in the art of marketing, you know the saying that goes something like, "Karaaunekoo allu bikchha, nakarauunekoo sun pani bikdainaa", in the same line I see these PC lingos as a form of subtly "shouting" to incite you to come and check it out and nothing more.
