Business Ownership Is The Way To Go For Nepali Americans Paramendra Bhagat February 18, 2004 - http://www.geocities.com/paramendra/2004/gouri.html We come from the second poorest country on the planet. I believe most of us take it the wrong way, be it those working minimum wage, or less, perhaps serving tables, or those making low and high five figure incomes, as well those barely making six figures. I don’t care if your ceiling is slightly higher than that of others, but it is still a ceiling, and you are letting your past determine your future. You are accepting boundaries that need to be broken open. You need to realize your fuller potential. And financial freedom thus can be a legitimate goal. It used to be said that the Italian Americans back in the days got in the mafia “business” because their upward mobility in the legitimate world of politics and business was limited. The intersection point is that the Nepali Americans are a new wave of immigrants as well. Most of us will maintain active ties with Nepal for the rest of our lives. And we have our own glass walls and ceilings. But guess what, the Internet changes all that. You can be the same individual, but you came to America to realize your potential. Guess what, I think you should make the next logical step, and go online, because the Internet is the new country, it is not America anymore. What a new idea parmendar has. Seems like idea of running after Hridayesh got flopped lately. Since Gajju babu passed Sadvavan has been torn to how many pieces, haven't heard from you where you are haning on. Anandi devi ko MUJETRO could be a good refuse for thy hermit soul. :) What about being a senetor from Oregon, is it still on agenda yet? Rock On Bro. |
