Girija Prasad Koirala might never have made such a powerful statement when he said that the royal coupe, and all political agitation the Nepal is going through, is part of a 'Grand Master Design.' He probably was never so true. I still don't believe there is a strong connection between the rebel group (Maoist) and the Royal hierarchies, but it might have played to the latter's interest. The King's bold interest on visiting remote Nepali villages isn't taken lightly by the democratic political parties, and for all the right reasons. Monarchy has already intervened on the Constitutional political infrastructure by dethroning the most powerful entity of the country, Prime Ministership. It won't be big surprise if the next 'Grand' move is the conversion from COnstitutional Monarchy to the Absolute one. The support the King is gathering, sure would help. Some of the Political Parties might also bring up the point that the King has oh-so-bravely 'dared' to do the visits as if he knows there won't be any mishap during the visit, thus hinting the Royal Connection. Hundreds of Activists from five Political Parties are staging rallies to protest the so called Regression. Probably the statement by Girija Prasad Koirala is sinking in them now? If you ask any democractic leader, you will get the answer that What is Happening is not good. If you ask any Nepalese, including me, it really doesn't make much of a difference. We aren't expecting anything good from any of the Top-notch player of the country, be it the Constitutional Monarchy or the Absolute Monarchy.

I agree El Diablo. And good thing is I enjoy sports than Politics (except when Howard Dean Shrieks) About accusation of being Conspiracy Theorist, isn't it very apparent now? I might be drawing premature conclusions here, but the trend line just overlaps the previous curve of events. Want to know what you guys think about current situation.

DWI....you're indeed a good sport! I meant to write conspiracy instead of conspiration. May be it was just an inspiration to respond without hesitation that caused the discombobulation. Now, the confabulation! May be it's Girija and the likes who are in cahoot with the Maoists. Look at Madhav Nepal making a jolly little trip south of the border to have a secret meeting with the Maoist leadership in Lukhnow while some of his own cadres were being abducted or assasinated by them. Girija hasn't uttered anything subsantial against the Maoists action against the Congressi-wallahs either. Makes me wonder!
