In return, Prachanda asked his militia all over Nepal to "stop all pre-planned offensives for the time being" and to remain in defensive posture. Nepalnews.com How many peoples will believe or feel comfortable with this call for CEASEFIRE? Do you really think its an honest call for CEASEFIRE from both sides? I don't think so. Well, Tamils in 1989 called for first CEASE FIRE, i.e. 6years after the break of war. Nepali Maoists called CEASEFIRE after 6th year of war break. Very similar. In Sri Lanka the story of CEASEFIRE is now like Tide in Ocean. What about in Nepal? I think its a tide in Nepal too. Once this tide settles on the beach, we can find anothe coming. The coming days will be more devasting, because both side will accuse each other not have enough environment for the negotations. Once next tide comes, we will hear much more deaths, the way it happens in Sri Lanka. Well, in 1989, Sri Lankan friend of mine, had party for the first call of CEASEFIRE, assuming its the end of war, wow, before they finished food on their plate, they had to rush for BBC to hear new tolls of death. So, don't have parties. Expect bigger TSUNAMIS of death news. I believe its 99.99999999% drama from both sides. GP

This stupid ceasefire will be broken by the Maoists in less than two weeks. If Deuba believes that he can persuade the Maoists to give up their arms by mere table talks, then he is a fool. There is only one solution to this problem, and that is to use the army. If they are not prepared to do this, then they should give up, pack their bags and go somewhere else. Other people who can do will take over. For example, the King and army.
