Here's a site paying tribute to one of the most interesting American Idol contestants ever.......William Hung,an engineering student at UC, Berkeley.

http://www.williamhung.net

According to Time magazine, this site already has had 4 million hits. He kinda looks like one of the Sajha regulars, I think.

He is not interesting. He is ugly and looks like a hobbit straight out of a Tolkien novel were he not an Asian. He should be singing "He bangs" instead of "She bangs" because this guy is certainly gay. And what's with his last name, "hung"? So, he wants all of us to know he is hung like a race horse? ROFL.

How the hell did he end up at Berkeley yo? This guy shouldn't even be allowed to enter a community college.

You know the day when William Hung really shines? On Halloween of course.

He is just a publicity stunt produced by fox network

I think you guys missed the point about William Hung...

William Hung might not represent the Ideal AMERICON IDOL, but what he represents is REALITY! Not every guy in town can like rap like emin, sing like jewel, and shake like britney! I think the reason of his hype is he represnts the reality...not the fake real shows on MTV..but the reality we live in. At least that's what I think.

I see this incident from a rather different point of view.
I have heard and read the argument of Mr. Hung representing the normal people and his success is a mere celebration of normality. But the thing is normality is not celebrated. never has been and this move of putting someone like Mr. Hung in the limelight does nothing good but bad to this already egoist society by rendering more ego. The botton line is he sucks at what he's been so popularized in. Celebrating this kinda failure in this kinda way does a lot of injustice to the real talent as well the not talented (like Mr. Hung) who will start questioning their own unpopularity for not being talented.
A good example of how a naive act of celebrating normal life can come back and bite the normalcy of our lives.

I have been following the American Idol from down-under as well. It's pretty obvious the guy has absolutely no talent whatsoever as far as singing is concerned. He seems bit slow as well (up in head - no offense meant).

If he represents reality he shouldn't be in a singing competition, perhaps a reality show would be a better pick for him.

It's in nature of humans to sometimes like wildest, wackiest things. This might have come out as a sarcasm, or perhaps recognition of the guy who doesn't know when to quit.

I agree with Oys. Nobody made him famous. People loved his honesty, down to the earth attitude and he became famous. The guy went there to have fun and he did. I'm not too sure about his plan to take singing lessons, but that's what he loves. He could become a good musician.

Yes, he is accidental American Idol based on his singing and dancing talents. But he is very talented person. Read some of his work posted in the website. I don't think he landed in Berkeley accidently. So, let's not make fool of ourselves underming his capabilities.

dyammmmm, what's so profound about William Hung that you guys have to do such philosophical thinking in here. Just use your common sense; he is an unusual chinese kid from Cali, and whie pricks who watch american idol program love to see a lil' chinese guy making ass out of himself.Thats it... if it was an Indian guy with the Indian accent, and doing unda -munda-aa -aaa in this words, the he would he would be famouse too. Americans love making fun of people from other races, or who resemble other races for instance William in this case. and this whole crap is making William famouse so he's happy about it, American watchers are enjoying- having fun to make fun of that little guy, and Fox network is making money. So freaking win -win -win situation for everyone. Amazing how things work in the USA.....

I agree with sanka too. I say william hung should sue fox network for making fun of him and the culture he represents publicly.

They are making fun of him because he is chinese and looks different....... If it was an "american kid" making ass out of himself, fox would be under lot of scrutiny.
