I always wonder, is my religion what my parents' are? Do I have to follow theirs blindly? I don't see any significance following my partents' one. I have my own vision and experiences in life. Accordingly, I want to search my religion. To be honest, I want to be free from all religion or I want to be all-relgion.

Nature has created all of us uniquely different. Some like sweet, some like salty while others like spicy. In the same way, there are many religions to choose from. Some have Buddhist character, some muslim, some hindu and some christian. Accordingly, one should choose the religion of own likings. In other words, I should discover the religion which I love most. Not the relgion my parents' followed.

If there was a common religion "Humanity" as our earlier friend mentioned, this world would have been a better place definitely. But our ego is the problem. We say, what I chose is the best. To be honest, the religion we have these days are all ego promoting. They have promoted division rather than unification. But it's not the religion's fault but of the so called religious person. A true religion should bring more and more peace in the world. But unfortunately, there is a competition to prove every religion the best. That obviously brings conflict leading to massacre and killings all over the world.

Religion ?? To offer service to the gods, to the good, to the wise, and to my spiritual teacher; purity, honesty, continence, and nonviolence: these are the disciplines of the body. To offer soothing words, to speak truly, kindly, and helpfully, and to study the scriptures: follow the disciplines of speech. Calmness, gentleness, silence, self-restraint, and purity: and follow the disciplines of the mind is my religion. Trikal.............

Absolutely true...Trikal jee Unless we bring a total revolution inside us - total freedom from all so called religion, our neighbours, our society, and be truly ourselves and undesrtand all around us, we cant' be truly religous. Otherwise, what's difference between us and sheep?

Are we talking Religiously Or philosophically here?? Yes Monk I think Religion should be the one where one is more destined to, where his interests, beliefs and persona takes him to, and not necessarily the one He is Coded with during birth or the one someone else including parents take him to be. In that respect he can be of any religion or maybe of no religion at all. I guess philsophy matters here. But MOnK bro your nIck suggests that you have a definite religion. Let us know?? Just kidding Bro. Relgion< -------------------------------------------------------> Humanity That's what I believe also.

I am Humanistic too!!! "Everybody's good, just the degree of their goodness varies" "There is no absolute truth. Everything is RELATIVE." Likewise, All the religion, including but not limited to Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism , are valid; just the degree of their validity varies.

Loosing My Religion.... Life is bigger It's bigger than you And you are not me The lengths that I will go to The distance in your eyes Oh no I've said too much I set it up That's me in the corner That's me in the spotlight Losing my religion Trying to keep up with you And I don't know if I can do it Oh no I've said too much I haven't said enough I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try Every whisper Of every waking hour I'm Choosing my confessions Trying to keep an eye on you Like a hurt lost and blinded fool Oh no I've said too much I set it up Consider this The hint of the century Consider this The slip that brought me To my knees failed What if all these fantasies Come flailing around Now I've said too much I thought that I heard you laughing I thought that I heard you sing I think I thought I saw you try But that was just a dream That was just a dream Out of Time Album By REM

Daju, bhai, didi, bahini haru Every religion is not good and does not promote truth as each contradicts the other. Logic dictates that there can only be one truth. Christianity's and Islam's claim to be perfect are disproved by the errors in the Bible and Koran. Other beliefs such as Confucianism and Taoism are not religions as they are man-made and not divinely inspired. Unlike other faiths Hinduism is a Dharma and the first religion hence its name of Sanatana Dharma. It was given to Manu the first man when only truth existed. However, hubris (ahamkar) prompted some devata to challenge the reignof the Supreme Creator (Parameshvar) and they were expelled from heaven (svarga). They became custodians (rakshak) of the material world and called the rakshas. Their leader was Vrita who later reincarnated as Kirtavirya, Ravana, etc. He entices man to disobet Dharma to increase sin by false religions (Islam, Christianity). The teachings of Islam/Christianity are evil unlike the goodness of Dharma. ISLAM/CHRISTIANITY LAY SAMPOORNA YUDDHA KO SICHAYDINCHA; SANATANA DHARMA LAY SHANTI KO SICHAYDINCHA. The homosexuality and promiscuity of Islam & Christianity are violations of natural law (prakriti) and opposite to the cleanliness of Dharma. Religious violence only began in Mahabharat after the poisonous influence of Muslims and Christians. The Marxist/Maoist ideology is likewise demonic invented by the Mleccha Stalin and the terrorist Zedong. The recent increase of crime in Bhutan is attribuble to Western Christian's infuence in the expanding media of television. Peace will only arrive under the establishment of Chrakravarty Samrajya (Vedic Government).

I respect everyone's opinion - we're here to share, to listen, not to argue, but to unite. All religions have proved a total failure in uniting us - that's the truth which nobody can deny. The main reason is that there has never been a religion which is compatible to our human mind. So, a new religion is needed.

I do not agree that any new religion is needed. In summary, all the religions are same. They all preach good things as envisaged in the existing society. It is the followers who have the false sense of superiority and fight amongst themselves. Our sanatan dharma says, "Satya ko jaya hos, adharma ko nas hos, prani haruma shad bhab hos, biswoko kalyan hos". And we say that during our prayer every day. If we follow the ideology of live and let live, and follow what we think is good, this would be a good society.
