Gotta admit that i got this one thru a sweetheart little girl - but you all can benefit from it. hope you get a smile on your face reading this, like i did.....dedicated to my loved ones: ----------------------------------------------------and also to ProudNepali---to the new You :) A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE. They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE. The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?" The other friend replied "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it." LEARN TO WRITE YOUR HURTS IN THE SAND AND T O CARVE YOUR BENEFITS IN STONE. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Send this phrase to the people you'll never forget. It's a short message to let them know that you'll never forget them. Do not value the THINGS you have in your life.. But value WHO you have in your life!

LadyBug - wonderful tale indeed. Taking your advice, I'm not only sending this to some, but am posting it on another website. If you see it there, just understand that I took your advice to heart. Good deeds, many a times, people take them for granted. Any one mistake, and people make it so serious, they are ready to break their friendship built in a lifetime. Let us all be thankful to our friends and families for their good deeds and forget the mistakes they make that hurt you, as a writing in a sand that blows away or get swept away by the water. Can you or someone else come up with a catchy Tiltle for this?

ssNY - I will propose - The Nepali Jesusness- for a really uniquename. no offense to christians and i am not one either. Or how about - "No slapping allowed, Slapping is violent" jee that was kinda lame, i have to say. well i think you guys could do better than that. ssNY you suggest one. nepalki_chori -- thanks for seeing my beauty without really seeing me. i don't think i will disappoint you if i ever meet you in real life either. ;) not to be "proud".

LadyBug, good to see so many accolades heaped upon you. A nice one always deserves a lot of pat on one's back. Ashely, I know you meant to say, 'could'nt agree with you more'. If not, please do expain. 'Anymore' in there sounded negative. Title - Ignore the mistakes and remember the good deeds. Title - Good deeds and bad deeds. Tite - DONE - FINITO - NO MORE - CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING ELSE - PLEASE DON'T PUT ME ON THE SPOT. But again, I have to add this to your great story. TO ERR IS HUMAN TO FORGIVE, DEVINE.

Since it's snowing all over, coincidently, here's what happened! The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the SNOW: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.
