I used my air miles .. Star alliance .. United and Thai .

I bought it for $1260 from Third Eye Travel. I guess its a good deal for the summer but it uses thiland and Hongkong.

Yea its with tax. Tax is like $98 dollares ticket price is $1160. And it uses Cathy pacific and Thia ( spelling ?? ) . But ticket price depends on your departure date from US. $1258 is for the month of may ( return date can be any). If you buy ticket for June then i guess its a lil more expensive.

One option to consider: I know a while ago Singapore Airlines used to have add-on visit Asia tickets at something like $100 one way to be used in conjuction with a ticket to elsewhere in Asia. With SQ no longer flying to KTM (and taking you only as far as Bangkok), that may be less attractive.

Friends, thank you for your information; I have been researching every link possible. Arnico, I am looking at the possiblity of a side trip from BKK or HKG.
Lizard king, you are right, it is not an enroute trip to KTM.
