U-day, the same here. It's so beautiful to notice the progression of the mind as the clock goes from 8 PM to 8 AM (now). There was no need to pull an all nighter, but I did it anyway. If I worked as hard as I have been did this past night, I would be Einstein. :) |

I have been an object of ridicule recently, because I told a few of my friends that, based on the theory of educationist Jerome Bruner, any concept can be taught to kids of any age. Here I am desperately trying to construct a curriculum for the fourth graders so I can teach them the Heckscher-Ohlin model--something I am learning NOW. It's 2:50 am. Everything is quiet outside. I am in a mood to write to poem, but unfortunately I am struggling on the second lesson plan (I have to finish seven by noon tomorrow). If there are any all nighters in similar situation, do share your pain here. Truth be told, I feel extremly happy when I see other people suffering just like me. Suffering intellectually, that is. Trying to think, procastinating and the like. I am going to come back to this site at 4, at 5, at 6 and at 7. I guess once in an hour is a reasonable rate. Its 12:40 noon and I am in North Classroom in UCD. And what will I do after I finish browsing Sajha, go and study. WHAT????????? Study and me, did I say study (omg!!) Meera and study!! Dear Thread, How is Sajha treating ya? Its 6:30 pm here. Met a man who returned from the jail after staying there for 5 months. Interesting character. Besides that slept in the sun for 3 hours. Meera, HIM. :) --------- It's surprising--I get done with my classes on Wednesday afternoon and between Thursday and Sunday, my schedule is so out of line that I sometimes have trouble finding out what day it is. Last year on April 7, as a Sophomore struggling to keep up with the academic work, I was pulling the first all nighter after I came to the US, working on my econ paper. A year after, several all nighters have been "pulled" on various occassions. I do not remember the number of all-night-awakes I have had this past year, but I do know that today will be added to the list. Yet one more day when each and every corner of Nepalisong.com will be explored! M.P. |

The worst part of throat ache is that you cannot talk in the phone with your friends for hours. I feel sorry for you. *Jwaano* chha? Umaaleko taato pani sanga jwaano khaanu, but I do not think Walmart has jwaano anyway. :( Hehehe...I feel like a real doctor now. :) Had I been sick, it would have been a good excuse for me not to write the paper I am working on. And, common, you can live a couple of days without talking on the phone, can't you? I mean, there is Sajha chat, too, although, everytime I go there--the last time being two minutes ago--nobody talks. Have people become shy suddenly or what? I used to ridicule my roommate saying he entered all the number in excel, but added them up using a calculator. Having to deal with 3000 observation, I now realize how hard it is to scroll down and up all the time. It's like eating the chips: you pick one chip, dip it in the dip, take it to your mouth and before you finish chewing, move your hand to get another chip and the process goes on. Here, you take the data, take the average, oops Humla has only two observations, Kathmandu has 149, f**ing heteroskedasticity, use the generalized least squares, you run the regression and none of the coefficients are significant. Raatbhari rugyo, budhi ta bhudho po raichha bhanyaa jastai! :) ------- Coming back to the padhere guff, I have been using this special paste on my hair for the last 2 months. Since I started using it, my hair has started to turn unsually shiny and silky (see photo). Last time when I went to one of the stores near by, I saw the same paste (I am not sure if it can be called gel) in the women section. I have been hiding it in my drawer eversince, because I do not want my roommates to steal it or to think I am using something especially designed for women--if it is especially designed for women, that is. For the first time this year (2003-2004), seems like I will be going for breakfast. 7.53 am EST. Went to bed at 1, and woke up at 6. 5 hrs of sleep. I dn't feel a thing though, i don't feel sleepy. But the time i get to class, around 10.30, i will fall asleep, and my friend next to me keeps elbowing me, telling me to wake up. when i wake up, and look at him, i see his friggin eyes closed. *sigh* Linear algebra sucks, physics sucks, engineering sucks. come to think about it, i think i will change my major to sex. i will take sex101 class next semester.. |
