Before I begin: Kanplish means Kantipuronline-style English.

Have a good day reading the headlines from Kantipur online. I reproduce some below.

India for Janakpur-Jainagar railway service expension

Speaking during a program in Dhanusha district today envoy Sharan said "India is theoretically ready to assist Nepal for the expansion of the railway unto Bardibas." Theoritically...hmmm..:) (this was not KOL's mistake anyway).

Nepalese Ambassador to USA pass away.

These could be typos, but since Kantipuronline is one of the few online--and more or less reliable--sources we have from Nepal, I think the editors should be extra careful while posting news.

As they say, most things are easier said than done. But I seriously think we need some people with both technical and communication expertise there in Nepalnews and Kantipur.

Apart fom the kaplish, they may also want to verify the accuracy of their report.

As per kantipur, "Royal Nepalese Ambassador to the United States, Jaya Pratap Rana passed away in Washington Tuesday." Then it goes on to saying, "Rana died at John Hopkins Teaching Hospital in Baltimore Tuesday afternoon at 3:45 (Nepal local time)."

It seems they are unaware of the fact that baltimore and washington are infact two different cities in different states (almost).

"He was hospitalised on April 18, 2003 at John Hopkins Teaching Hospital after falling on the ground while going on a morning walk"

No he was not. He was hospitalized at washington hospital center in washington dc,and only after several months of treatment there, was transferred to hopkins.
