Let's test your knowledge of Nepali. I've certainly forgotten a ton of it. Now, what's the word for "Gift" in Nepali?

Uppahar= Gift. In noodles packets, Uppahar = Prize. I heard, in India, Uppahar = Codom, but i am not sure about the third one.

Koseli: Brought a present from someplace elce. Bhenti: Meeting gift from home. Uphaar: Gift for an auspicious occaison. Chino: A gift for rememberance. Take your pick. Uphaar is the most popular word during marraige or bratabandha season, which is all year round. A permanent hole in the pocket if you are a bachelor -:)
