Guys just wanted to know if you guys know any superstitious beliefs about being born in the Dark moon day smiply called "aaushi " in Nepali. As I have heard tht those who are born on that day have to marry somebody who is born on the same day. If you marry somebody else than your husband/wife will die soon after you get married. If you guys have heard anything about it or do/don't belive in it... keep posted....

It is quite true .Woman who was born in 'aushi' ko raat has to find someone who was born on the same day or if not then has to marry a man who was married once already otherwise the marriage wont last longer resulting in a disaster . The best example is an Indian Movie Actress Rekha .She was married for 5 times and all her husbands died as soon as she got married with them ,one of them was bollywood actor Binod Mehra .

Because of the fact that Rosa mentioned above, I heard ppl do change their birth date so that they don't remain bachelors/bachelorettes. Is that a superstition in itself?

Thanks guys for the response and yeah people do change their date of birth, since it does sound scary. I never knew Rekha was born on that day. Is it for sure? I tried a whole lot about it on net but couldn't get anything. That's why I tried the sajha. Well, keep posting and do let me know if u can find about it anywhere. Thanks!!

Rosa, As far as I know, aausi ma janme ko manche spouse tokuwa hunchan re (i.e., their husband/wife die before them) and yes it is a superstition. I don't know about it's superiority but I also head that that the superstition remians valid only for first marriage. So, people who are born in aausi perform a fake marriage to some kind of plant just to get rid of the jinx. Oh well! I was not bor in aausi so wy would I care. goodnite!

I heard it from my famiy and the society itself. We newari girls do get married as kids with some kind of fruit called "bel" or something. Does that means our real marriage is second and we are all over with that superstitious belief.

This is the most stupid topic...and even more is the moron who brought that topic of REKHA!! Boy come to think of this!! what's the population of the world? 4 billion, 5 billion, 6 billion? how many people do u think are borne on aaushi? les say around 500,000 ..and les say 250,000 are women...so u mean to say all the husbands of these women are dead? What is affecting them? shadow of the earth on the moon? axis of the earth? and you bring forth the exammple of rekha as the primary evidence??? ok, how about other 250,000 people who are not dead? how do you explain that? this is what i call STUPID NATURE...u ignore the fact so that you can lean on your own belief. Man GROW UP! we're not in the ice age......we're in the age when holy baba like sai baba has been proved a sick pedophile and a con artist fair and sqaure! I feel sorry for your tilkumari

Dont feel sorry for my Tilkumari ,she wasnt born in Auushi ko raat .:)) No one is forcing you to believe us .But at least respect our belief .Superstitious people are discussing about superstitious beliefs in here .If you dont like ,refrain from posting to this topic ,why does your bloody head crave for cetamol for no particular reason I cannot understand . To believe some beliefs is to relieve yourself for a relief .For example to those of us who truly believe in God ,the superstitious belief of God's existence is a relief to us .When I force myself to believe the unguaranteed belief that Maoists Problem in Nepal will end one day ,it gives me a lot of relief .Are you downloading what I am trying to upload in your cetamol-ed C:/ drive ? Lets say you and bollywood actress REKHA were married (u lucky bastard :)) ).And within one year you became her 6th victim like her previous 5 husbands .It would still be difficult for me to prove to new generations about it,because i wont have any 'thos saboot ' .Because superstitious beliefs aint no coca cola for one to see, touch ,smell ,etc .

Thanks TKP for getting right back to stri_brood. stri there are people who believe in it and who don't. If u don't beleive that's fine but u don't have to be so rude and say such stuffs.Anyway, how do u know that other 25000 people who might have born in Aaushi is not dead or somethng. Do u know anybody born in aausi? Do u even know that many people? then how can u say that they are dead or not. Anyways, I am just asking here for peoples beliefs... no hard feelings..........

Allright now let this PiMP speak coz i need to speak, coz i am in love with a girl born on AUSSSi and she freaks about this eveytime. The Black Cat belief and the AUSSI which is also black its not gotta do with the day or the cat but its the color black. Allright u might have seen this question in ur physics test like in grade 8 or something. "Why do we wear wite T-Shirts in Summer and not black" yeh the answer is wite reflects the light and black absorbs and traps so hamro anncestors had some science knowledge which they interpreted in wrong way, they might has thought the people born on AUSSi absorbs all the dark energy or something to generate some ressonance or some other factor. peace out

well i think there r so many such beliefs. some others r the lady who has become kumari in her childhood should not get married because if she does so then her husband dies earlier. if the child is born ulta that is in GOPTO position then someone from that family dies pretty soon. I think we have heard a lot about bau-ama tokuwa. that is the thing. another is if u guys know or not,if a group of SHYAL round a man and cries infront of him without touching him n then just go away then that person dies within few months of that incident. well these r some of the other superstitions that r still prevalent in Nepal. well in my openion I think they r all u know some kind of theory derivation of the people of old time when these sorts of cases happened. I even heard that the last two cases were the causes of my grandads dead.but I dont believe it at all.those theories were the assumptions made with the past uneducated society of Nepal when ther was no suitable way to describe ones death. but it is not the same today. if anyone dies now it is not because he just died loike that but because he had illness of somekind or something else. whatever the thing is we have suitable description for ones death. so I dont think we still need to follow that old theories. as far as people have related it too religion I dont think it has abnything to do with it. so my friens, lets not forget we have these beliefs but also lets not try to apply these things.these beliefs r interesting to talk about n the pain in the ass to follow. so lets only have fun with it n not have headache about it.

Mitra Marich..Marich dherai Bhayo. Bro, your posting sounds definitely interesting but I can hardly read it all. Simply because, it's too long. (:Please do not respond this posting/statement). Rosa, your honesty is appreciated. Supertitious beliefs are not true all the time. Maybe to some people and sometime or all the time but not to all the people all the time. And that's the most interesting/mysterious/controversial part of it. By the way below is one little event that I encountered. (next posting ...) This is PRoudNEpali aka Nepali-Dogg. I know no more than what you had let me known.

Continuing on KALO BIRalos. Sometimes the supposed to be bad lucks (allachhina) evidents result in the other directions. Of course, there are exceptions to almost everything. SO, exceptions to superstitious beliefs is also to exist. Some events which are signs of misfortunes to most of the people happen to be good lucks to others. Have you guys ever thought about it????? If not ...you will now. Once, back in Nepal some 6-7 yrs back, I were riding my bike in a high speed. Say some 120 km/hr. I were coming from Balaju and riding on the road between Swoyambhu Bhagwan Pau and Siddhartha Banasthali school. That's a shortcut. It was around 11-12 in the evening (midnight). As soon as I crossed the UKALO and passed by RASHMI primary school, of course no street lights, I saw a Kalo Biralo crossing the street (its shiny eyes made me recognize it) and I immediately reached for my brakes. My bike came to a complete hault and right before my front wheel was a KHALDO (not a huge one but deep enough to take my life in that speed). Had I rode about 2 inches more than I would have been....... I don't know what? At that moment I were actually thankful towards that BIRALO. How can't I?? This evidence can be interpreted in 3 different ways. 1. Some people will say that was a co-incidence. (That was the only the time it had happened to me.) 2. Others will say IF THE BLACK CAT didn't cross the street I wouldn't have encountered with that KHALDO, so the Biralo was a sign of misfortune. 3. Yet others will say that Biralo was a savior. If it hadn't crossed the street, I wouldn't have applied the brakes and who knows, anything bad could have had happened. All of the above interpretaions are equally justifiable, and sounds true. So, what about SUPERSTITioUS beliefs?? +/- are there. Oooooofsss I guess we had diverted a lot from the original topic. By the way I haven't known anyone born on Aushi ko Raat or anything like the already discussed above type of accidents. And I came to know about REKHA only via this thread. So, that can be a co-incidence as much as Supertitious accident. this much... oh surprisingly it is snowing outside....maybe not... Let me go check out. Jai Nepal
