LOS ANGELES, March 26 (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Lakers are rounding into postseason form, and there doesn't seem to be anything the rest of the league can do about it............in their last two games, they have completely dismantled division leaders Sacramento and Minnesota, showing who's the real boss......n so on

Sacra what?? Timber who??

guy Posted on 27-Mar-04 12:25 PM

Everyone seems to feel the Lakers.....!!! I feel you folks..... It's time for the Lakers to step and prove the quality they have......I've always been a Lakerian even though the Celtics are my hometown ballerz....
The Last 2 games....with Sac and the Wolves have been one helluva game for the Lakers....If they go on with this hype.....it definitely shouldn't be much of a problem for another Champion.....but U know what goes on with the Lakers....!!! The health is always an Issue....
Timberwolves , Sacremento and the Pacers have a good standing......which proves their thing.......Let's see how the playoffs roll on........10 more games for the Lakers.....3 away and 7 home games.....
Kobe..!! the dude with his versatility proves.......he ain't done yet.....even though the incident from Last June has made him a media target...and he's been having to play under so much pressure.........
Rick Fox said........it takes a great player to be in Court-room all day with much pressure and come out and play a big game at night........ On the Contrary, it takes an amazingly stupid person to be in Court-Room for such accusation and be at the ball game too....
No matter what they say....Bryant has always been my man....!! He's an awesome player.....and I give him all the respect......He's cool......man, he's a fool.....it didn't take much for him to drool......and be used as a tool.....!!! What the hell.....he's still cool!!!

i HATE, DETEST, LOATHE lakers!!!

I don't care who wins, but I hope (really really hope and pray) that these arrogant bunch of clowns fall into pieces and lose bad.
ProudNepali Posted on 28-Mar-04 11:38 AM

can say nothing at this time of the year on who is gonna win the champinship.
THe "KINGs" were the favorites. And still are. THe "LA Queens" are making a decent run. But the PACERS, PISTONS, NETS, KINGS, SPURS, GRIZZlieS etc. had also had their chances. Lakers are building a momentum. That's true. But the "Queens" from LA will take no long to vanish and everyone will be asking what went wrong??

Don't count on KOBE yet. He might get trapped in the COURT and who knows he might not be playing also. ANything is possible. He is a proven athlete and I wish all the good lucks for him. Withoug KOBE, thier prettiest Queen, "ThE rest of the Queens" can definitely win games but......... not the Championship. Even if the "Queens" are all healthy and playing "THE KINGS" will definitely have them under their knees. Just wait until B. Jackson becomes healthy and Webber returns to his good form. Do not count the SPURS out yet.... they can repeat the same run of last year. THe WOLVes have the history of sliding down by the end of the season so... "ThE LA QUEENS" shouldn't be too happy about their winning the last matchup. They shouldn't forget that "THE WOlveS" had dismantled them 3 consecutive times prior to the latest meeting. Each time with 10+ points.

Of course "The KIngs" will give their "RINGS" to "The Queens" after winning the championship. Wedding in HOLLYWood.
Just an OBSERVATION..
Jai Nepal
ProudNepali Posted on 28-Mar-04 11:42 AM

The MAILMAN and the PAYTon pehnomenon should have stopped at SAcRAMEnto.... They will realize their mistake by the end of the season.

Sounds funny but.... I still believe... the cELTiCS are gonna repeat what the PAtriots had done this past season. don't ask me why.................. but that's just an observation.

GO CeLTicS Go...

(but we have to be at least in the 6 th spot when entering the third week of April.)
k_loaded Posted on 28-Mar-04 12:46 PM

"Just wait until B. Jackson becomes healthy and Webber returns to his good form"- Nepalibro.
So we are gonna have to wait until jackson and webber returns to their form. Wat a sorry ass excuse. Forget playoff proudQueen, they will for sure find their rythm in pre-season next year. Meanwhile, Alderman will spent short trip to playoff complainning refs call.
And if you are talking about history.......just as a reminder, boys from LA have trashed the queens from the capital 3 times in past four years in the playoffs!!!
So one should not spent too much time wondering why this wont happen this time. That's what payton and malone might have thought when they signed with the KINGS of the court.
ProudNepali Posted on 28-Mar-04 01:30 PM

THe LA Queens and their dreamer princesses definitely thinks so.
The Memhis Grizzlies might knockoff the LA Queens if htey happen to meet in the first round. That way the KINGs will have to spare their rings for someone else. But nahhhhhhhh... THe KIngs want to do it ove the Queens. And Loaded Queens will be unloaded.
And yeah..
wait until the season is over...
By the way... that's what the princesses were telling ...wait until the super 4 are healthy..when Malone was injured...... Bryant was injured.....

Jai Nepal
k_loaded Posted on 28-Mar-04 01:45 PM

Oh yeah. We defenitely dream about it. The only difference is our dream come true(3 consequetive rings).....but for the queens.........man...... ugly sluts keep dreamin and dreamin about it.....but cant have one. You guys aint just loaded enough yet to unload the shit out of opponents. Man is that not simple? Dont you just get it? Sure Bobby jackson is good player for the kings but he is not what is missing from the championship team. THEY JUST CANT BEAT THE LAKERS IN 7 GAMES. period.

And you want Gizz to beat LA so that scary queens dont have to face their nightmare. What a loser!
Blazer VS Kings should be a good match-up though.

Peace here......
.............Peace there.

Proud nepali,

First of all you must not be proud of your English, it's very hard to understand what what the heck you are saying.

After I figured out what you were trying to say, I wondered what the heck you've been smoking latey.

You want the grizzlies to beat the lakers? Wake up man, looks like you watch way too many Hindi movies!

And make up your mind. Who do you want to see win it all? The kings? The Spurs? Wolves? or the pathetic celtics? Or are you just one of those Lakers-haters?

No offence dude, you seem kinda lost to me. At least when it comes to the NBA.

GO LAKERS!!!!!

AX Posted on 29-Mar-04 08:27 AM

Lakers in a roll now and I see new LA Lakers are flooded here :) Nothing wrong with that but where were you people when they were not doing so good?

As all of us know no team is dominant. Any given night, any team can beat other teams. I am impressed with Lakers performance in last 3-4 games, but you never know when the time bomb is going to explode in LALA land. As ProudNepali said check the Kobe's court hearing dates, it may conflict with Laker's playoff schedules. And we all know Lakers not going anywhere w/o kobe. any update on Karl's knee??? he got banged up again last nite. He might be thinking that he should have retired than playing with buncha egoist boyz(wanna name them???)

SA SPURS is still da NBA champion :)

it will be fun to watch Sunday match up between SA Spurs and LA Queens, as proud bro would like say;) with ALL LA fans, TD and the gang make US proud ;)

go SPURS go!
Rusty Posted on 29-Mar-04 09:01 AM

AX again inclining towards Lakers? You would love to see Spurs this year, but next year...Lakers??

Anyways, good for the Lakers. Nice team work, Kobe playing great, Shaq playing good even though he's not playing at his best, Karl is back, Payton should at least do effort for the champianship this season and opt out next season. The Lakers must win the champianship... for Karl Malone.

Now, it's the end of the season, and it's very hard to figure out who's gonna be the MVP this season. KG's team record have been slump even though he has been maintaining his stats.. He still has challenge to go into the second round of the playoffs. WIth all aspects, now I think J O'Neal deserves MVP award, but people are so pressimistic about any award that may go to east. Remember Iverson had won MVP three season ago for his own input and best team record that he carried till the end of the season. J O'neal is leading scorer and leading rebounder and leading shot blocker for his team, so don't surpise to see him winning MVP award.

The least valuable player of the year- TMac

Defensive Player of the Year -- either KG or Ron Artest

Sixth Man of the Year -- not sure

Coach of the Year -- Rick Carlisle (Indiana)

Rookie of the Year -- Melo n James

Most Improved Player --Zach Randolph

yOuNgBlOoDz Posted on 29-Mar-04 10:02 AM

mvp - td or kg
most improved - zach , deserves it
coach of the year - hubie brown, frm grizzlies
6th man - either jamison (mavs) or taylor (houston)
rookie - melo n james

ya, finally we seeing lakers on track.. hate em but love to see em play... j' o'neal need to grow up.. must know how to carry the team in his shoulder.. he is contributing big numbers for pacers.. but the team doesn't rely on him.. if we look at the team.. they still winning w/o him... if the pacers win the champs.. he gets the mvp of the team..
the real deal is.. mvp of the league....

whats happening with t-wolves.. where is the intensity... ?? c'mon guys u can't do this yo fans at the end of season..

KINGS,,,,,, they have got offense.. defense.. teamm work.. they posses everything that a quality team needs,, yet they struggle

spurs,,,, they might come up surprisingly,,, after all.. TD's running the show

now bout my hometeam.......... our double digit lead vapors as we enter the fourth quarter.. either to loose the game or play OT.. last 4-5 games r decided in OT.. we need get that defense strategy back... or else we r heading no where.... yao's improving... franchise needs to be consistence.. GO GO ROCKETS GOOOOO :D:D:D

AX Posted on 29-Mar-04 10:14 AM

Rusty, how about Kobe and the Clips for next year ;) are you surprised???

YB's list looks good to me. Hate to see Melo sharing his award with the Kid from Cleveland.

Bruce Bowen tops my list to win the defensive player of the year award. Ron Artest or Ben Wallace are good candidates.
bhole_babaji Posted on 29-Mar-04 10:43 AM

Its time for Malone to get his ring.....I am a Kings fan for want Lakers to win this year.
AX Posted on 29-Mar-04 11:54 AM

bhole_babaji, that's weird. Don't let other Kings know about it.

CWEBB is pissed with you now and he does not like hearing your boooooos :p
AX Posted on 29-Mar-04 12:01 PM

who is your choice for MVP 04

don't be pissed Lakers fan, they don't belong to elite groups :p

ProudNepali Posted on 29-Mar-04 12:38 PM

THe Princesses from LA do not get me wrong. I and of course the whole world want to see The Mail Man and Fantastic Payton get the Championsip rings. No doubt about it.

You guys get carried away easily. (Senor Bro.. if you do not understand English then that's your problem. Let me know what you didn't understand and I can try making it simpler. By the way this is not an English lecture room so little errors (while trying to type faster without editing) should be easily recognized.)

I agree that Kobe Bryant is the MVP of the league as far as the second half of the season is concerned. He has been phenomenol and playing as hard as anyone else and as hard as anytime before in his career despite the hectic schedule. HE is a Hall of Famer
But guys... he is tangled with a serious court case... and none has no idea what will happen. The Big man is not in his best form but he is still the most dominant player in the league. It was so good to see the Mail Man scoring double double against his former team. Payton is the reliable workorse yet his stats had fallen badly since joining the LA QUeens.

Given that they have all the necessary ingredients the Queens are one of the most vulnerable teams in the league. Now, again don't get me wrong when I said that. What I meant is the Lakers always find one or the other ways to dig their own holes. Whether it's Kobe's court case or Mail Man's health, or just the bad team chemistry as it is often visible they are always susceptiblle. And most of the time the source is internal.
Without Kobe THE lakers do not appear like the LAkers. Let anyone besides the princesses make us believe that the Queens are the most reliable team to bet for at the moment.

I won't count the SPURS out of contention yet. TD is doing what he is supposed to do and what he was expected to do. BIG man Robinson is not there anymore but look where the SPurs stand. And when TD was out due to injury for some games the rest of the team memberd filled for him well. I guess that's what team chemistry is all about.

the T'Wolves had been slumping recently but who will dare to count them out?? With all the important players healthy they are in a sort of a transition period. They should be regrouping soon and playing their best.

Now, talking of the Kings from Sacramento. They will show and have been showing why they are the KIngS. If the Princesses from Southern CAlifornia are still blinded by the Queens recent run... do not forget the kINGS still hold the best record in the Western Conference.Bobby Jackson was the 6th man of the year last season (I guess he is) and none needs explanation as of why?? When Bibby is not playing as good as he was expected to play...... loss of B. Jackson is a huge one. It won't take long before Webber gets back to his form and the drama begins. Just get the brides ready.. THe KIngs will be coming to make them their Queens. Just get the rings ready.

And again I am not counting on any of the BIG 4s missing from the Queens team during the off-season. I expect all of them to play despite my doubts ..and yet not win it all. That's because the rest of the elites had also gone that good.

Playoffs is not that far.
GO kings go.
(to be continued....only if challenged)
Jai NEpAL
ProudNepali Posted on 29-Mar-04 12:46 PM

K_loaded bro... please do not undermine the MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES . The Grizzlies might be more injurious than the WOLVES. Watchout.

By the way the GRizzs have the best record after the ALL-star break.
GRizzs is the only the team with a winning record with all the elite teams.. be they be Lakers, spurs, wolves, kings, pacers, pistons, rockets or anyone else.

I said Lakers also. Yeah and they can beat Lakers. It's not a dream. It's a reality. THe Queens dare not to challenge the Grizzlies.

By the way THe Queens had always struggled aganst the ROCKETs since the beginning of the MING dynasty. And this season have been no different. So watchout for the ROckets and GRIzzlies. GRizzlies might well gain the 4th spot and win the homecourt advantage.

You sounded funny when you undermined the GRizzlies..... you will prove stupid if you do not correct your false impression.
Just an observation pal.

GO NBA GO.

g-unit Posted on 29-Mar-04 01:20 PM

hello all the Espn followers:

this year Lakers wont win the championship , I dont think they even make it upto the final. San Antonio , MN, Kings are still alive...Lakers cant do nothin just with Kobe and "Jack Nicholson"....Shaq is not as good as before .he could be blocked everytime by Jermaine o niel....
From EAst : Indiana or Detroit
From West: San Antonio or Kings
MVP goes to: Jermaine O neil or Tim Duncan
Defensive player : Ben Wallace
Rookies and all that : I DONT CARE

Just keep watchin fellas .....you will see what happens next.....
Rusty Posted on 29-Mar-04 01:42 PM

I have always been neutral when I comment about NBA teams. Once I was a great Knicks fan, now Knicks are not Knicks anymore... but my support always goes to them. Now, KG Vs TD... KG is still on the top MVP, but I doubt he will maintain his MVP hype until the end of this season. My guess is Memphis will top Spurs by the end of season, leaving Spurs as #5 seed.

Again, do not misjudge Jermaine O'Neal for MVP. MOST OF THE TIME, MVP AWARD GOES TO BEST PLAYER WITH THE BEST TEAM RECORD IN THE LEAGUE. He could get that award since he's the key force for the Pacers to be #1 in NBA. The concept "East is weak and West is strong " doesn't apply when it comes to award players. The best record is always best no matter what you say... either fluke or easy schedule.

I would again like to see Tim Duncan winning MVP award, but I doubt he will continue... For the champianship, Lakers have been picking up their pace. If Shaq plays with his best, they can win the title.
AX Posted on 29-Mar-04 01:52 PM

Rusty, the only reason i put O'Neals name there was that you will pick him. He is not even MVP in his own team, how can he be league MVP???

and the grapevine is McGrady will win the award, NBA is following MLB's footstep as Alex won the AL MVP last year ;)
aakash Posted on 29-Mar-04 02:19 PM

No way ONEAL Will be the MVP....R u kiddin me!!

Since when Rusty is been talkin crazy! lol :-)
g-unit Posted on 29-Mar-04 04:33 PM

Excuse me aakaash dude?
you must be a rookie in this game unlike Le bron!!!!!
Jermaine O neil has the same chance as other KGs and Tim does...common man give this guy some respect ...you cant judge people just by watchin ESPN news high lights..you gotta learn more about how they have been playin in all positions ..in and out....
That is why dont say "there is no way" MVP for him.....if u wanna learn more just ask other people in sajha by posting a message its free....NO OFFENSE DUDE....
aakash Posted on 29-Mar-04 05:58 PM

G Unit By the way , i watch Sports Center HIGHLIGHTS not ESPN news.... Also i dont need to learn from you bout the game! infact, i can say wahtever i want......stop me if u can.....and i still think Oneil has no chance to win MVP ...Pacers r good not only cause of Oneil ..dotn forget ARTEST and the man REGGIE ...what bout austin Croshere ( i hope i spelled it correctly)....now, think bout KG and Duncan....will timwolves will be as good as they r, and spurs will be the spurs if u take KG and duncan out of the picture? i guess not....just my opinion..no offense to anyone! i love this game!
Back to u G UNIT! :-)
AX Posted on 29-Mar-04 07:01 PM

G-Unit, how about teaching more about O'Neal :)

if you are talking about this year stats, it's up there to compare to other MVP candidates. He has similar stats to Dirk from MAVS and Randolph(sp???) from Blazers and they are not even in the list above. Playing similar position does not warrant you to compare with those great players (TD and KG).
Rusty Posted on 29-Mar-04 07:15 PM

AX and Aakash,
What I said was 'DON'T BE SURPRISE TO SEE O'NEALWINNING MVP AWARD. Maybe my sentences were misleading. He is the leading scorer, rebounder and shot-blocker on the best team in NBA, and one of the best in the NBA. His perimeter shooting, free-throws and low-post performance have continued to make strides. So, he definitely belongs to the candidate list. I suppose O'Neal should not win the MVP award when he's competing with iconic figures like Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett. But, I repeat they usually give MVP award to that player who is best in the team with best record. So, you never know... Nevertheless, I've not done enough analysis on what-if-he's-taken-out-of-team.

Well, the coming weeks for KG and Duncan are extremely important cause all top seeds in the west are having very close race. We still don't know who is the best team in West. I also want to see Tim Duncan, the most decent player in the league, winning the MVP award, but it won't happen this year. KG is rated better than Tim Duncan, but I think Minnesota is breaking through into the elite because of Garnett’s enhanced supporting cast.

Let's wait and see...:-)

Rusty Posted on 29-Mar-04 07:21 PM

Yesssssssssss... Knicks won:)
senor Posted on 30-Mar-04 04:52 AM

GUY THIS IS FROM THE OFFICIAL SOURCE!!!!

NBA Power Rankings

1 Los Angeles Lakers (50-23)
Message delivered! They beat the Kings, T'wolves and Jazz last week to make it eight straight wins and 12 of 14 overall. But can they add the Spurs to their list of victims next Sunday at Staples? Looks like it.

2 Indiana Pacers (54-19)
They cooled off the Heat on Sunday to make it four straight victories and clinch the top seed in the East. With Jermaine O'Neal back in the lineup, and a soft remaining schedule, a 60-win season is within reach.

3 San Antonio Spurs (48-25)
Hedo Turkoglu has moved into the NBA lead in 3-point shooting (45.5 percent). Last year Bruce Bowen led the league in that category. They should each send a thank-you note to Tim Duncan.

4 Sacramento Kings (52-21)
Trouble in paradise? At week's end they'd lost five of nine, and Chris Webber was hearing the boo-birds at Arco Arena. Maybe the return of Bobby Jackson (abdominal strain) can get them out of their funk.

5 Detroit Pistons (47-27)
Losses at New Orleans and San Antonio last week brought them back to earth a bit. But they still have a stout defense, and with six of their final eight at the Palace, they should stay hot down the stretch.

WHO CARES ABOUT THE REST?
senor Posted on 30-Mar-04 04:53 AM

Us nepalis have a very hard time agreeing with each other. Maybe we'll agree with the EXPERTS. maybe not.
AX Posted on 30-Mar-04 08:07 AM

senor, what is the official source? LA TIMES or DAILYNEWS???

They are still 2 games behind KINGS with 9 games left anyway and make sure your team is ready for Dallas MAVS (higest scoring team in the league) for the playoffs......

Center -> Shaq vs Danny Fortson/Shawn Bradley --------- Lakers
Power Forward -> Karl Malone vs Drik Nowitzki --------- MAVS
Small Forward -> Rick Fox/D. George vs Antawan Jamison/Antonio Walker ------ MAVS
Shooting Guard -> Kobe Bryant vs Michael Finley ------ Lakers
Point Guard -> Payton vs Steve Nash ------- MAVS

Bench Players -- Walton/Fisher/George/Salva/Rush vs Jamison/Najera/Fortson/J. Howard ----- MAVS
Coaching - Phil Jackson vs Don Nelson ----- Lakers

regular season series is tied with 2-2

Lakers got big 4 and MAVS got their own big 4 to counter with..... It will be really sad to see Malone retiring loosing in the first round :)

now you tell me, what you think?

Ok the question really is how reliable the Lakers are at the moment? Everyteam in the west are as competetive as each other. we all know that. But for some reason(dont ask me why? you should have the answer) no damn team in the west want to face the lakers. And yeah you can always argue that.
Some belive "Kobe Bryant is the MVP of the league as far as the second half of the season is concerned", some even say shaq "is still the most dominant player in the league" and everybody is talking about how and why payton and mailman should win a championship. But same people always find a way to outsmart the Lakers when it comes to pre-championship discussion. But i assume, not only me but ya'all know how good this team is.
Well kobe's court case should not be an issue, mailman's health should not be an issue, team chemistry should not be an issue........but sure, bobby jackson's injury to kings do mean a championship ring. Webber not getting his touch is also an legitimate excuse. Put all these things together, it seems princess of the proud capital are just not secure and confident about so called their kings.
When the same team beats you three times in a row!!! in the playoffs!!!.....its obvious to tend to have odds with that team, bring that sense of rivalry and all that shit. Proud Nepali ji, The ring's always been there. Just needed some kings to out play the queens and get it. Apparently, Queens/princess from LA-as you say- have always outplayed the kings from the capital not once, not twice.....Dont waste your time thinking why its not going to happen this year.
Reasons why Lakers should win the championship as proudnepali says + some of my own observations...
1. "Kobe Bryant is the MVP of the league as far as the second half of the season is concerned."
2. "[shaq] is still the most dominant player in the league"
3. Mailman can help on offense and can do better job in defending elite pf in the western conference(as seen in match-up against TD earlier this season).
4. "Payton is the reliable workorse"
5.Shaq's productivity in offensive end has gone down a little bit. Reason: fewer shot taken. But see whats happenning?
Shaq is taking control over the defensive end. Taking more rebounds, altering shots and taking control of the paint in the defensive end. Providing much needed defense.
6.Lakers bench are far better than the last year.

And watch out....with a couple of week remainning and lakers playing most of their game at LA, they might just snatch that best record in the west. Atleast try to save the only crown for the kings.

Ax bro......
....based on that observation....are you suggesting lakers gonna make an exit in the first round?

And if you have enough time, can you make a similar match-up of spurs with any elite team in the west and tell me what you think?

As far as first round match-up with gizz goes;
-You cant really make one to one match-up because bench players from gizziles play almost the same minutes as the starting line up. Too much rotation going on- i believe that one of the reasons why gizz are doing so good. Everyone know they have to contribute equally.
-So obviously bench have an advantage.
-i have to give credit to hubie brown for his effort-my coach of the year.
So gizz have advantage here too.
- and season series???........gizz up by 3-1.

As i am making some serious calculation in my mind..........do you see the defending champion taking the exit in first round?

Given your observation and where spurs stand right now.........they are going to loose with every damn team in the west.
Do you see that happenning?

hello NBA fans!! good luck to all teams, lakers , spurs and other western teams...
I was just wondering about Sunday( april 4th) 's ABC's scchedule....it says there are two games at 1 pm... kings vs houston and pacesr vs pistons....not sure how they gonna show both ....i am a pistons fan by the way... go pistons play it hard..
yOuNgBlOoDz Posted on 31-Mar-04 12:58 PM

wassup with SHAQ!!!!!!!?

he don't seem as active as he used to be.. perhaps tired...

KG for MVP............. no doubt

how bout TD fo co-mvp

BUT..... i would really love to see hubie brown get the coach of the year.. i mean yes flip has done fabulous job with wolves.. so has the pacer's coach........ but pacers n wolves they were top 10 team foreva...always made the playoff.. ..but for what brown has contributed to this memphis team........... hedeserves it.. last year memphis was one of the worst team.. gadha dhoyera gai banaunu is really sumthing........

K_Loaded bro... DO not get me wrong again..... the way you get it all the time.

WHoever posted the powere ranking....... Bro... that's the opinion/prediction whatever you name it of one expert. If all the experts agree in one single team then we will have no reason to argue why we may as well not agree with them. But.. that has not been the case here. The ESPN folks run after what happens today and not worry about yesterday. That's just a bold prediction. When Lakers were in mere 5-6th position in the Western Conference none dared to talk about them. now like you guys do the LAkers fan of ESPN rooster are also talking about them.

Whoever thinks MAVs are better than LA... they must be dreaming. Ask any MAVs player or the Coach and they will tell you who they fear the most. I love the MAVS to win but that appears not to be a possibility. If they win I will be really happy for our departed legend: Antowaine Walker.

YEs WOlves and Spurs both have legitimate shot at the Championsip. And O'Neal (not Shaq), TD, and KG all of them have legitimate shots to the MVP crown. People used to talk about DIRK by the end of FIrst hald of the season but they don't do it anymore. And we all understand why.

To you LOaded bro..... THe LAkers thought the same thing.... last season.. only to lose to the SPURS. So are you counting on the history to repeat itself?? IF LAkers can knock off Kings then so can the SPurs Knockoff Lakers. Now, maybe you have problem with this statement.

And bro.... Wake up!! we are not talking about NBA 2002-03 season or 01-02 or any season before that. We are talking about NBA 03-04. THe kings Had been doing it all season long even without Webber and JAckson. Now Webber is back.. he only needs to get in his form. But can you dare to say the same about LAKers?? Whether it's Malone's injury or Kobe's.. or the Big MAn's himself the LAkers had struggled. It is as simple as that.

It's none puzzle that The KINGS can only get better and the Lakers can only get worse. Lakers are in their best format. Kings aren't. But they will soon. Who can doubt that??

The Lakers struggle against HOuston.. because of Yao MINg. They haven't won the series against MEMphis so Memphis are well within the reach of the Championship.. even without the real bIG nAME stars. aND OH YEAH.. THEY have a very good team chemistry.

My suggestion to the LA fans.... do not get blinded by what you have witnessed for the past couple of weeks.... realize about the weeks before that and realize the possibilities of coming schedules. Of course each of the elite teams have their own reasons to believe in themselves, yet the undeniable remians undenied.

Kings are that good. You will realize only when they prove it.
What can I say.
But please do not tell me what happened in the last season or seasons before that will happen again. (Lakers knocking off KIngS)
Because, someone else might claim that the BULLS might wake up and turn down the tables.. because they had done that in the past.

ProudNepali Posted on 31-Mar-04 01:54 PM

I will like to see J O'Neal winning the MVP crown (someone from East'n COf.). But not their team winning the champinoship. Damn.... Celtics.. they will have to play a duel against the pacers. But ...... Celtics knows how to Knockoff Pacers... We may do it one more time.

But hey.......... DON"T you guys thinkg Celtics will make it to the playoffs?? I even think we can knockofff KNIcks.. and maybe even more.
And what about Western Conference and the 8th playoff spot??

The season is interesting at the top spots and the bottom spots as well.

we need to swap sum teams.. ok leave the pacers n nets there........ give em phoenix n clippers......... these two teams will make sum noise in eastern play off picture..give west whicheva team.. it really don't matter
aakash Posted on 31-Mar-04 04:32 PM
