I was bored skimming through the ongoing topics in sajha. For a change, I decided to begin this new thread to highlight the movies you have recently watched.
Green Card Fever:
This is a movie about an illegal Indian immigrant (Murali) trying to get a green card in US. His first lawyer (Om) is unwilling to help because getting a green card for him would be pursuing unethical ways. Next, he gets trapped by a so-called social worker, who takes his passport and other documents and lets Murali believe into getting a green card. Meanwhile, Murali falls in love with Bharati (who happens to be US born). And finally, he gets caught by the INS and is sentenced.
The movie has a few humorous moments, but the plot was more to portray the struggle of an immigrant to get a green card. Murali trying to make a decision between buying a phone card to call home and buying some food is quite touching. Him struggling to get a legal status and coping up with his father’s resentment has been presented well. However, I was not entirely sure regarding the role of Om in this movie. He could have been left out completely, and instead the movie could have focused on the main character. Also, during Murali’s trial, Bharati calls him a liar, and at the end of the movie, she is back again with him. I thought this part was sketchy.

50 First Dates
Veterinarian living in Hawaii who enjoys the company of vacationing women…. He leaves da playboy life behind after he falls for Lucy… ,suffering from short-term memory loss….. Since she can never remember meeting him, Henry has to romance Lucy every single day n hope that she falls for him. Barrymore is fab! The plot is all abt waiting to win over the dream person every freakin day.....!!!

After a long time , i was able to watch a hindi movie yesterday....TUM...it was ok....if u r with ur family (esp kids) , make sure u have remote control wit u to FF few nudity scenes . Movie was ok...i would give 2 and half out of 5.

I can understand why people here only talk about English or Hindi movies ,thats because we dont have quality movie in Nepalese .Not Anymore .....
DUI KINARA .....
This movie says " Sukha Dukha Zindagi ko dui kinara ........." Its about an american nepalese (Niruta Singh ) who goes to Nepal for rafting .She has white lover and is pregnant ___accident ____ a poor Nepali guy finds her _____brings her back to his small hut ___she gives birth to kuire ko baccha _____nepali guy likes her but cannot say so _____ TWIST in a story ........Woman vanishes with her kid ____
after 20 + years ..........he will marry the woman when they are about 60 years old .
This woman is a real tear jerker . make sure you have tissues paper before you watch this movie . Director Tulsi Ghimire has introduced a new nepali actor . forgot his name ,someone said he is the son of former prime minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand . what a natural actor !!!!!!!! Gone are the days of Bhuvan KC ,Rajesh Hamal .They are nowhere near him .
I give 5 out of 5 for the actor and 4 out of 5 for the movie . If you dont like this movie then you will never like nepalese movie .

All I can say is yeah why USA immigrant, You belong to your country, why English language? You have your mother tongue, why Ball games, you have your own local games? Or may be why Western loose fits, you have your own national dress. Dude these are many questions unanswerable still part of life.
About movie, happened to watch premier show on Jersey Girl. Wow, What a waste. Another Gigli. Liv Tyler offers some magnificence but not much. For, Jen-Ben two words, enough now.

okie.................... movie review
ram gopal verma.. is one of the few indian directors.. who gives us totally different movie.. none of those stupid love story.. a guy n gal.. falls in love.. parents decide to marry the gal sumwhere else.. the other guy turns out to be way too generous to give the chick back who she loved.. Nah that ain't his style.. he comes up with sum different ideas.. for instance.. company... road.. bhoot.. now another master piece produced by verma'.... starrring nana patekar. "Ab Tak Chappan".......... its a must see movie

.MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL
The funniest movie ever made. Made in 1975, this movie is a classic. I have watched this movie about 100 times before and it still gives me laughs when I watch it. The dialogues and the lines in this movie have become a cult phenomenon.
Highly recommend it. My ratings 5/5

i agree with youngbloodz, ram gopal verma is awesome. hindi flicks all suck right now, i think i am looking forward to main hoon nah with sharuk khan.

I watched Mystic River..and meh liked it ...though I understood the move only in second try...*-*

The best hindi movie I've seen in last 4 years: Mr & Mrs Iyer
Speaking about funny movies, do watch: "Airplane", "Naked Gun" and any series by Mr. Bean (downloadable on Kazaa)

you totally missed my point .The fact is I hate nepalese movie like people hate shit ,because 90% of thier stories are directly stolen from bollywood . Dui Kinara is something original.
I give 6 out of 5 for 'ab tak chappan ' too

YB, what about "Rangeela", produced/directed by RGV? After watching that movie in bishwojyoti theater, one of my uncles said this movie is like Phillips top 10... hehe... there is a song every 10 mins.. :) And RGV is also coming up with another movie which is love story. :)

Aamir Khan, on his bright yellow suit, scarf and black sunglass, takes an actress to a big restaurant. He calls the waiter and he goes "yo, it's so hot in here.. turn the fan towards me"... the waiter goes "but sir, we have AC here", Amir goes "then turn the AC towards me".. ;)

MUNNA BHAI, MBBS starring Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warshi and Boman Irani is a must see mast movie guys and gals. BOLE TO. To know anything about this, " BOLE TO" funda, you should see the movie.

yes it is KALANKISTHAN Bro..see..maan i have said this tooo so many people..but maan no one has watched patch adamss..its a wonderful movieee..
gaaadha haruu ..thats a ditto copy..man..
Anyway thats a great movie..RObbin WILLIams is one heck of a actor...this movie puts both smile and roles down tears from your eyes :) GOOD MOVIE>>TELL YOU BETTER THAN MUNNA BHAI>>GOOSSH DUDE>>ATLEAST ONE GUY HAS SEEN BOTH MOVIE AND THINKS MuNNA BHAI IS A COPY :D

kati angrezii filim herne aauta duita hindi pani herum na bhanera yo tinta filim hereko kyaaa haripphh majja aayo...
uguys must have seen this hindi movie ...it came about 2 or 3months back i enjoyed it alot though its a hindi movie its so very amusing(though there is no paresh rawal)...the humour part of the movie isexactly how we fool around wid our friEnds if not watched do watch it ..."JHANKAR BEATS" a strOng recommendation from my side.. must say one of my fav comedy MOVIE besides HERA PHERI..
recently i have even watched off beat movies with no glamour or item songs umm waisa bhi hota hain part II and teen dewwarein are quite good movies

Kurtsgal.. yeah Jhankar Beats is definitely an amazing must see movie. Well, just to let you know a kinda sequel of Hera Pheri is coming out soon. Its called Aur Hera Pheri and the cast are the same - Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty and Akshay Kumar. I am waiting for that movie.
Well people, did anyone watch "PASSION OF CHRIST". Its a great horrifying masterpiece by Mel Gibson. Well made, I just couldnt watch few scenes.
But do not watch "STARSKY AND HUTCH" starring Ben Stiller. Its one hella worst movie.
