· Think they look sexi
· Male self-image thing
· Think it puts in to their persona

well i think lot of guys start smoking for fun jus one or 2 a day or may be a week
later number start to grown then they get addicted and when they try to quit say it irnoy or anything u want but at those days u get lot of factors which makes u smoke like:
stress,parties,vacation,lonelinesss and goes on so continue smoking againa........

I Smoke becuase I am a nicotine addict. If I look too cool while smoking then that would be the only positive thing for this so not cool habit.
BTW Ashley, Your friend is lucky to have a concerned friend like you :)

Hmmm... I smoked coz I literally wanted to grow up. :P ... wanted to look bit matured, coz I had this HUGE "Dhokha" (not the door) that I looked young. It took me some time and lots of cigarettes to realize that you look young when you are young. :P Now I don't wanna look older and I can't quit cigarettes either.
hmmm... very bad Habit!!
Quit it before you start it... otherwise, like Oys said sometime ago, We are not quitters.
(It always starts with one cigg. once in a while :((

4 months stopped then one fren comes over n asks do u have a ciggy I said no...he said wait for 10 mins I will be right back ;;;;he went off ..I was wondering why? he comes back with a new pack of surya...I wondered if the taste was still the same coz it was long ...I asked myself ah one doesnt matter ....then I light it up...wao heaven knows how I felt...the taste is still the same..:) then I asked my fren for that nice pack..he didnt deny ..:)

sense thats the story of many of us. Similar thing happenned to me. I tried to quit. But hey, I felt I was loosing something. Whenever I saw a pack, I was tempted. So I thought, I quitted forcefully. My body cannot survive without nicotine. I tried different way to quit. But always, I found I was forcing to quit than willing to quit. Its part of my life. Cant't get rid of it.
Smoking is pleasure.

Thank ya’ll for your remarks though You all r unveiling a big No-No to quitting ciggy. I give up, Keep smoking.
Qqest, I am blessed to have few unwavering friends like him. Great guy! Whenever I ask him to quit, he puts a stop to it stating, ‘everybody is hypocrite in their own ways” and he never feels bad abt smoking. Oh well!

You got that part right "Everyone is Hypocrite in thier own ways"...It is like you shot me from point blank...I tell people not to smoke but I do smoke myself..In that case I am a big hypocrite myself..like your friend I do not feel bad that I smoke but I can't help it!!
Sonika from NY, I work at a Gas Station and I smoke Marlboro Lights. I didn't know that my life is a cheap one just because I work at Gas Station. Now that I know working at Gas Station is a big no no..Could you ask your "hunky" date to hook me up some peon type of job in his "corporate" firm. No.. I won't smoke in his "office".
Don't you all think that smokers also has same rights as non-smokers as long as we do not smoke in front of others who hate smoking. Let me put it this way..we pay taxes on cigarettes when we buy one. Now don't tell me that we do not have any rights when we pay tax to smoke. I even have a life insurance albiet with a higher premium :). I wouldn't have pay that higher premium if I have no rights as a smoker. I am not saying that smoking is good..I will quit one day when I feel enough is enough but till then live and let smoke..fellas.

I am remorseful for all NY fellas to have someone like Sonika. What a nit-picker. If you don’t take pleasure in one who smoke, stay away from them. Nobody cares about you. But don’t be pounding your own fellow Nepalese. What you know about Nepali here? We come off in gas station, but we subsist on our own. You are not worth disputing with.
