The poorest country like ours have a King. How do you define a King? One who indulges in enjoyment - parties, lavish living or what else? Looking at the royal palace, one can easily say they are how much great. Do you know that 104 years of Rana regime was due to who's fault. That means 104 years behind other countries, do you realize that? What have royals done for the benefit of our country? Can you name any single event to praise them? Are you still one of the chamchas yet?

Whenever I say we have a King, I noticed them as having an uneasy smile, as if I'm telling a joke. How can one become a King by birth? That's the main logic? People are starving and there's one who has private helicopter and rides rolls royce with people's money. They are so amazed when they see the photo of royal palace. They ask me - is it that you are trying to fool me to say you have also little lesser palacce like this? Ha..haa..haaa... a great joke?

Nowadays he is on tour of western regions.... an absolutely ego promotion trip. Why couldn't he say during Sher Bahardur's govt. that I warn all you politicians that I'lll have to take back power if ... ? Why has to take the power from the people? Do you think you are royals to support him? AFter all, it was in the hands of people though it may be Sher Bahadur himself. At least, we'd option of driving him out. Now, we have to surrender to say " Mausoof sarkaar le daya gari prajatantra deeyi bakshiyo" If they're really people loving, I have a question? Are they not enjoying millions of country funds still in spite of being multi-millionaires? That's the only way I assess one's heart, not by words.

I'm close to Great Ganesh Man Singh. He once commented " Nepali janata as nothing else but BHEDA" Really, they are .... BHEDA. Only Bhedas, nothing else. I am also Bheda... unfortunately, I am a nepali too.

What difference has there been when he took the power? More demonstration, more killings, more insecurity...that's all. Even if he hand over power to people later on, he's going to gain praise - do you know that? He wanted to enjoy power - that's all he wanted. I'm totally against Monarchy system because I've found it totally useless for our country. Just suckers. in every possible way to gain power and money. Have you ever thought how much people of Thailand have respect and regards for their King? Why? One should research...

I'm not Neta. I hate these starving dogs... We need people who are really honest, to sacrifice their life for our country. But unfortunately the dictator Gyaney has the power. I know, he'll kill so many people in the name of Maobadi - got a wonderful opportunity. HAVE YOU EVER IN YOUR LIFE SEEN ANY ROYALS HUGGING CHILDREN IN BAAL MANDIR OR CHILDREN HOME? Now is the time to uproot Monarchy totally because they are CANCER to our country.

Paagal... I agree with you completly. Monarchy is the one of the biggest disaster in the history of Nepal. It's been too long and it's time to stop them. By the way, be careful. There're lots of Royal CHAMCHAs here on Sajha and many around the world.

well all above said is true but i think it is not the right time to throw monarchy from the country though. if we throw monarchy then what to replace with- democracy- dmocracy is the right thing to go on with if it has the right leader since it mostly depends upon the leaders. but all the leaders of Nepal at present r corrupt, selfish. all has their own title related to the major scandal of nepal, lauda kanda, dollar kanda, mobile kanda, mahakalibechuwa n lot others. they r under constituitional monarchy n still they have guts to do all these things mean if they get a chance to rule the country independently without constitutional monarchy clause then there would be no Nepal in the future republic- the leaders asking republic r those who couldnt win a single seat through the democratical process n enter the jungle to loot the govt property n kill the people since they couldn't do the same from the prestigious post of primeministeras they couldnt reach there. n the next thing is how educated assumption would it be to say that those people r the leaders n representative of nepal who fear to go into the election n who couldnt win a single sit in the election. Right now we dont have a suitable alternative for the monarchy. so right now all we need to do is support monarchy n try to save the country from the process of being somalia or ethopia. n i am pretty sure the monarchy system cannot go for long period. at present even the most radical countries r taking the root of independent democracy so nepal cannot remain untouched n should not remain so also. so all we need to do is wait for that right time. it is the change society brings itself. all we need to do is we should be there to support that change as our fathers were there for the fall of panchayat n the rise of constitional monarchy.

Kath... I see a point in what U're saying and you have a valid reason. But the question here is how long? Compared to the Western Civilization, they uprooted their monarchy during Renaissance period. Their present achievements are the outcome of those movements. Didn't we had enough? We're the same people who want to move forward, but when do U think we can achieve that? No matter what, monarchy should be gone by now. Don't U get weird look when U say that we have a king still ruling our country? It's way backward and if it's the best excuse we have, then as a Nepali, I think nobody can dream of a better country. It's just not practical.

well the time frame for throwing the monarchy depends upon how fast our society will be able to produce the actual leader for the country in my openion. it might be tommmorow or not even after the century. it depends on us. but it is for sure that it is not right now atleast not with these rascals as the leaders of the country. lets not make an attempt to push the country backward. all we need to do right now is support king n the army. well that would be as long as the right time does not come.
