Your house is too expensive. U are a fool for building that kinda house in Kathmandu. Now Maobadi will terrorize your house. And btw, where did you get that kinda money to build that kinda house? A normal Nepali person can't even afford to eat 2 chak bhat!

The reason the guy wants to sell his house is-perhaps : A)he is smart and far sited to know that the situation in Nepal is not all that stable-who knows what might happen in 10years time? why be stuck with a huge house which may become worthless in due time. Remember what happened in Cambodia? B)Why should someone not try to sell the house for the maximum price he can get? if you put your place in his shoes>> He would want the highest bidder. This is business . If a sucker will buy the house that is his problem for not doing his homework. C)As for the money part-There are some people who have made money exporting pasmina shawls etc etc or it could be anything..Who cares ? I DONOT.

$185,000 for a house on 2 ropanies of land? You gotta be kidding. You can buy a house on 10 ropanies of land in America for that much money. Maybe not near the big cities, but you can in many parts of the country. How does real estate in Nepal work anyway? Land in the second poorest country with no facilities of anykind is more expensive than it is in America !!! AMAZING.

The picture of the house looks great, and the yard looks well kept I understand few years back the real state market in Ktm was hot, It seems like everybody I knew their favourite mantra was-"Build a house in Ktm" but that logo is fading. Look around you, lots of house that went for rent for top money is now empty. The population of the country is skyrocking, future is unknown, corrption is rampat, to say the least. May be lowering the price may help it get sold? seriously i donot think a nepali (with money) will go for the house, he would rather invest somewhere else... But I wish all the Best to the owner of the house. GOOD LUCK.
