Bhanja, I like the composition of your picture - with the kid surrounded by big figures. Only the kid is in focus in the picture - showing clearly that's what you want to focus on. And the people in the background - they look like silent spectators letting this poor kid fight the monsters all by himself. Nice picture! Is this boy Nepali too? |

Being able to see so many things in what most of us think is a plain picture taken of a small boy, is what I consider a real talent. usually tiny details like these are only noticed by the creator. But those who are able to, besides the creator himself, are rarely found. |

Trixy, I would advise u to read more about photography to appreciate pictures.A pictures is not merely taken for the purpose of recording the event.There are times when a pictures r taken with intention to potray feeling or convey messages. |

Bhanja Ji, An art (as you consider your photo to be) is open to interpretation. As trixy so eloquently surmised, I too have failed to see the point. Your original comment of the photo asks us to wonder at the incredible strength of the poor little boy wrestling with evil monsters. On the contrary, what is obvious is a little boy with mischievous smile trying to pin a fluffy, cuddly Tweety Bird to the ground. (Sylvester would be furious). It definately does not ask us to wonder at the colour, contrast, saturation, hue, gamma correction, red eye reduction et all. But then again, I am no authourity on photography nor an art critique. Just your average monday morning blues sufferer. |

Bhanja Ji, I can assure you when I say "Art is open in interpretation", there is 100% truth. The title you chose has kindled some interest, support, constructive criticism, criticism and indifference as all works of art do. If I may be so bold as to suggest publishing your work in a personal website dedicated to art. The nature of sajha is such that if you post multiple thread of same subject, it is perceived as misleading, annoying and wasting valuable webspace. (Personally guilty of commiting this crime). As for your assumption of me falling into gullible category, I haven't the foggiest idea as to what you are on about. Could you please elucidate? hey guys.. give bhanja a break man... he just posted a picture hoping that all u Sajhaites would enjoy and appreaciate the pics.. but NO.. u go all out and bash him upside down, left and right... man, even if there were to be critisims, it should have been constructive critisims. not some dumb ass comments on what the hell this pic has got anything to do with anything, and some other sarcastic remarks, which i won't bother going thru, cos there's too many of them worthless ones whihch i won't waste my time going thru. and if u can't appreciate the art of photography, i suggest u keep ur traps shut and if it really is that itchy to open up, then give some constructive comments or try shutting it with super glue. trust me.. it works... and if pics ain't supposed to be put up in the forum, i suggest that all the sajahites.. the administrator, editor, frequent users, users loved by all, whoever u maybe, to refrain from posting pics cos it is sooooo.... damned annoying to some pple here... take a hike guys?? over such a simple pic and all the Nepalis seem to be divided. |

Hold your horses fellas, hey it is a discussion forum right, and anyone is open to inquire into anything whether be it pic or chat that they did not know the meaning of or what was the intention of the actual thing in question. If Bhanja is not replying in a sensible fashion then the slanging matches will begin. If people are not discussing in a more politer manner then slanging matches will begin. Dont mind hai bhanja, just saying. Maybe the subject topic was the reason why it got all bent out of shape, as it didnt mention anything about Bhanja taking the pic, but some 'incredible strong boy.' Anyways its done and dusted now so no hard feelings Bhanja, no one has personal vendetta against you, and u shouldnt have against anyone. If u want to share pics u have taken, then its fine, though whatever anyone posts in Sajha should be ready to recieve any sorts of critism, not always everyone going to agree with u hoina ra. Its just the way it is. I second Ed_hunter, I think most ppl here went totally overboard in some ways or another.(or maybe im just being too sensitive) Trixy- I read in an older forum, you warning bhanja about the sajha 'sharks' to be wary of them (it was bcos of the heading of that post too). As it turns out, you yourself are one of the so call ‘sharks’. Im sure (you know) you could have been more constructive in ur criticism. Nothing is perfect; there will be definitely faults in everything, finding faults never solve problems. Bhanja as he is right now already seems to be too stressed so do give him a break As for his photos, all I know is that I find them good. I know I wouldn’t be able to able to place the same kind of effort to take photos, edit them etc like him, so lets give him credit for trying, who knows one day he may be as good (or better) as the professionals (if he already isn’t..;)) I for one always am looking forward to his photo posts especially since I grew up in Singapore (one of the nicest place to grow up in). Keep it coming bhanja…and thanks for the photos.. Cheers :D |

Erm...i asked what was the point, and i asked again polite as pie to explain to few of us who are clueless into those intentions and messaging conveying as your dear old Bhanja had stated, but some one just cant reply in a civil manner (whats with the filling in of the ***er ??). Its all blown out of proportion to those because of dangerously high levels of sensitivity, in here u cant be soft as dough, of course there are sharks, anyone can become labelled a 'shark' for the slightest thing and no one is ever going to like all the replys to a thread. Hey there, I know there are many guys/gals "shark" behind the keyboard but if u meet me in person you will hunted down for sure !!!! And you know how to shut your mouth. Anyway, I don't have any grudge against anybody or anyone.As a young adult, I am mature enough to take critisim and praise for the betterment of me.I will not waste my time defending myself against those people who don't share my view.But !!!! I know this site is a discussion board still it is a place where we share what the Nepalese are doing around the world by means of report,web site link,pictures,....etc. I chose picture as the medium. Trixy errr..when u asked "what was the point" it seemed to me u were 'attacking' him....i mean i had seen ur other post warning him to be careful etc...but well guess i became a bit too sensitive after reading everything here.....most prob i was wrong..(i am wrong ;)..)... but dun u hate it..when ppl start to ask ur motive...for doing smthing?? Hasnt it ever happened to you before? We may try to do smthing but..in the end it comes out wrong...totally opposite to what u intended.
