Have you read Preity Zinta’s column http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/3572553.stm , Sajha brain stormers? I personally very much agree and wonder how Nepalese so called modern men and women react!!! Here’s my thought…… I fully agree with Preity Zinta's thought. But why really this happens with men in India goes beyond just media, State passing strict legislations and etc. I like to make suggestion that it is due to India's poor education system for average population, and deteriorating Indian culture, especially so called Hindu culture which has very little to with the fundamentals of ancient Aryan schools of thoughts - Samkhya, Mimansa, Uttarmimansa, Vetanta, Yoga and Nyaya. Present indo-hindu culture is a practice of very gross phenomena of worship of characters of literatures that were written to convey the complex phenomenon of existence that is reflected in these ancient Aryan schools of thought. Average men of India, especially in some of the northern states of India - Panjab, Hariyana, UP, Bihar, & MP have treated women as sex object not only at this time of cable TV but since the dawn of the modern India. This basically happens among men who are poorly educated. These men are neither fully informed about the modernism meaning what's really happening to humanity around the world nor they are fully educated about their own ancient Aryan school of thoughts. Should they have been informed fully about either of human revolutions, I think, they will behave differently toward women. India needs revolution in education so that Indian men understand what really life means to them and women; what really the modernism is in relation with science, technology and respect of human rights in a democratic society, what really the ancient Indian culture is, what is this 'hindu' word means and how come this about and why India has taken this word for granted, etc. Then may be Indian men's eyes open. India need revolution to reveal what is the essence of ancient India and what relation it has with the modernism in terms of science, technology and human rights meaning rule of law in Democracy - equal rights to all humans in India. ---------------------------------------------- So sajha thinkers what you think of Nepali culture that is basically dominated by distorted indo-hindu tradition and practice? How could you related with the present situation that the country is going on - movement for the democracy that has been robbed away by the arrogant indo-hindu king how is so poorly educated in both area of education - modern revolution of science and technology, rule of law in Democracy and justice for human rights and ancient Aryan school of thought of so called indo-hindu society? (Bear in mind that the word hindu is Persian word given to Aryan civilization confronted by Islams in Sindha river delta of South Asia around 13th century. Also, try to trace back that how indo-hindu tradition and practice have wiped out the Buddhist Nepali culture and many ethnic culture from Nepal.) Do you think the problem of Nepal with men in Nepali society is like of India? Do you think can Nepali society grow and develop without Democracy - full right of people to learn, grow and decide for the county? Or you think you need the absolute king like the one you have now to decide for Nepali people and thereafter keep them like frightened human animals without any human rights? I am sure you share my thought and help bring Democracy back from the robber who have rubbed it away from people in the name of so called hindu tradition for the absolute king to rule in this 21st century. Can Nepal go back to dark age like this?. |
