To me "money" means freedom of choice, the ability to decide without counting cost,to be able to live anywhere I fancy, freedom to travel, or do nothing al all. Let's be honest about this: NO ONE WANTS TO BE POOR. We may not want the milions made by some of today's rock stars, tennis players and Hollywood idols but we would all like to be comfortably off. Let me dispose a myth:"Money is the root of all evil" It would be more accurate to say that "lack of money is the root of all evil" The best thing in life are not free-Who would not prefer to stay in a luxury hotel than a flea-infested dump?? there are hundreds of example to illustrate my points.. People sometimes claim not to care whether they have it nor not , but envy those who do and buy a lottery ticket each week in the hope of joining their rank!!

What does money mean to me? What is money? Is it something you have when you want to buy luxury goods or something you need to buy necessary items? It can be used in anyway. It can be squandered and it can be hoarded. You can earn and earn never give a penny to a charity or for a good cause or you can give everything ORremain in the middle, give some, save some. Some barely gets by and some have so much they literally lose their mind thinking night after night how to spend and where to spend. (I know a case or two). Money really is never enough. I will give you my own example. When I was a student and working I had the same concern as I do now - 5 years after. There was always a concern to save and I still do. The various payments. One thing for sure you really cannot buy happiness from money, Like Gertrude Stein said “there is no there there.” Happiness is not out there. It is what you make out of your life. Yes, If one has to chose between spending money on baby’s milk or for next meal then that is whole different category. But I am thinking in normal circumstances. Money doesn’t grow in tree unless you happen to win the lottery and then again a lot of people have become pauper after hitting a jackpot. Money buys things that you think will bring you happiness, but it only brings happiness when you get to show it to others. Money is good as long as you let other people know you have it. Either buying a big house, or an expensive car or shopping in exclusive boutique. Some people earn 20 million for appearing in a cinema and some people live in less than a dollar per day. It is everywhere yet millions and millions people don’t have it. Whenever one thinks of money the thought of happiness springs up. But does money really bring happiness? I read a few days ago that this couple is waiting for some big company to sponsor the name of their son. So the company will have a live human logo! The parents get to keep the money to (hopefully) raise that boy. He is around 7 months and still no company has come forward to give him their blessing. So he remains nameless. Babies have been killed and sold and made slaves. Now with the help of technology they are being auctioned in e-bay. So money makes people blind. You need money to survive but how much is enough? When do you know you have enough? The trick is to have the wisdom to know. I really think happiness is within you. Wherever you go there you are! Bring philanthropy spirit when you come to this earth and only that brings happiness. Happiness lies is in giving not in hoarding.

Whoever first said that Money can't buy happiness" did not know know what he was talking about. Could it be that the lines was invented by the rich to keep the poor from storming their estates. I have heard about some wealthy people who are miserable, and also know many more who are happy. It all depends on what one wants from LIFE. I strongly believe it is no fun to be engaged in a constant struggle to make ends meet.. I personally believe that rich is better,as long as you balance your life, with caring relationship, empathy and understanding, kindness etc to name a few. Money as a whole should not be the controal central of your life.
