So, where are you Debators? I am really surprised that neither Biswo nor Ashu dropped a word on that (Nepalese in Thai jail) serious issue. I think Safa Tempos are actually heavier than Biswo thought. Our debators are tired! "Bade Bade Jayate Tatwa Bodha" bhanne haru kata gaye? One thing, I want to make clear. I am NOT saying that Biswo or Ashu have 'THEKKA" to write on everything. I am just wondering..Ke bhayechha bhanera...... I think the issue is serious. Can we agree on something and help them staying within and honoring the existing laws? sparsha

Hi Sparsha:: Did anybody raised the issue here before?Furthermore, I have heard fewer Nepalese imprisoned there in Bangkok than ,say, the neighboring Malaysia.I think since Thailand has better laws to protect human rights than that of Malaysia or even Korea or Taiwan (though the latter two has lately been pretty much better in protecting human right), Thai prison are less of concern than that of other. One of the websites that tracked foreign prisoners was : http://www.phaseloop.com/foreignprisoners and you can even send messages to the prisoners. In Bangkok, the majority of prisoners seems to come from Nigeria, and only one Nepalese is listed there. Thanks for remembering us debaters,Sparshaji. My absence was mostly due to I had to go the International Symposium on Wearable Computer in Georgia Tech.If you are interested about the wearable computers, please visit the Georgia Tech websites for that. The most amazing thing I saw there was the world's smallest computer capable of running Windows/Linux system, made by tiqit.com, a company founded by a Stanford professor and his student. It was really a nifty stuff I have ever seen in my life, and the nicest thing about that was it was really cheap. Go wearable!!That's the future.

Time-permitting, others -- many silent readers -- too should come forward with their views, ideas, opinions and thoughts on this and other issues. Sure, doing so in public is a RISK, and this scares away a lot of good people Then again, believe in your own self. And when your thoughts are attacked, how you defend them is a measure of your own self. On a personal note, posting stuff is one way for me to relax after a hard day's work/studies/travel and what not!! So, yes, let there be many voices and opinions on this GBNC Web site. oohi ashu
