My favorite memory from SXS is a poem by a friend during the elocution contests in Class 8. He's become a legend since then among all our classmates. Here's what I can remember from his poem:

Mero kabita ko sirshak cha: Aaja.
Yes-ka rachanakaar hununcha: agyat.

(in really loud and animated voice)

Aaja. Aaja yes sansaar bhari kolahaal machhi-rahecha!
Mrityu le, mrityu le aafu lai shuddha mani rahecha!

...

Hatya garera. H-A-T-Y-A GARERA ragat herna samma bhyaudainan!
Yo ke ho? Ma timi sanga sodh-dhachu!

Dhanyabad!

i can still remember devendra khanal sir's one size fit all definitions for naam, kriya etc.
Soongma sir's 2 root 2 and shhhhhh like a pressure cooker. Bishwajeet sir's "besh cha" & "oe kina hw nagarya, gorkhapatra (kantipur later) ma chhap diu?". And those SVO and SVC Fr. Curtin's, and Fr. Donnelly's Writing handbooks and Chris Heaton sitting on a chair which he put on top of the table so that he could see better to find out the cheaters in a test.
gurungsir Posted on 07-Apr-04 09:28 PM

What a surprise to see this thread. I hope this remains everyone of their own memorable days. I have my own memories of titoura burger and chappal singh stories of Khanal Sir. Demian Chhetri Sir used to tell amazing story like Red Sun, Good Bad and Ugly and stories about great singers like Beatles and Rolling stones.

Those were the days.

There is gathering of SMS and STX this coming Sunday to celebrate New Year. check out www.gaasman.org for more information.

nearly forgot bout the Canteen
man canteen ko momo. first was good tyaspachi became smaller and smaller

ani ghaas jasto ganauney burger.... the burgers reminded me of freshly cut grass.. .it was disgusting.and the cold hot dogs.... and samosas. and dadhya fries..

and of course during assembly, remember how we had to sing those songs .. and john britto playing the keyboard. but in reality he never played it .but just put it in demo.. i remember someone found that out.. while walking past him. .haha.
and we used to sing " raato bhaley kwaye kwaye . sutkeri lai khwaye" instead of "from the mountains ........."

those were the good ol' days

Yo Bhattu,

Fabri was the only teacher I got a real beating from...except "khotas' and kapal tanne from teachers like Raju Aryal...Him Bir..Lal Lama..I am all cool with that..but that freaking Fabri used to go crazy..on people...

During Nanda's time..I once had to clean the field...for getting demerit ticket..other than that I have been lucky.
WkW Posted on 08-Apr-04 03:00 PM

i remember thakur sir saying "make a straight cirle" , "Both of you three come here".
Devendra khanal sir's "Kalo Gufa". (it never ended)
Nanda sir's "you dumba" (heard lots of that)
