I have agree with that in most cases...
I guess some people wish to term "Lack of opportunity" as "Personal Choice".
And some people are just plain honest.

The most interesting thing I found at American colleges is the fact that much of both the guys and girls tended NOT TO KEEP their virginty (among many factors) as a result of peer pressure. Being a virgin (specially for late teens) was a strong embrassment among thier peers equally for both boys and girls. Both guys and girls tended to aviod being bullied or made fun of by having an experience of sex.
Therefore it is not so reasonable to assume that virginity is a lack of opportunity as the plenty of opportunity existed raised by the circumstances of peer pressure.
On the other hand, both guys and girls who came from orthodox Christain familis did not have problem loosing virginity even if their faith forbade so.

Having said that, the above statement perhaps largely applies to gentlemen than to the ladies.

I did see some minor difference between the guys and girls who came from orthodox faiths . Girls did have some reservations about how and where sex is preformed however according to my understanding fundamentally they did not had objection on losing virginity.
Therefore the difference between guys and girls were only on how and were not on "to or not to."

I totally agree with Poon Da. Here is the meaning of Virginity.
1. The quality or condition of being a virgin.
2. The state of being pure, unsullied, or untouched.
Not just in Christian family girls try to save them self (remain virgin) for their husband but it occurs in other cultures as well such as Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist.........
Well girls/ladies/women do tend to be more reserved about their sexual life. Even on 21st century guys can go out and do what they want, have sex with as many women as they want and if any girls/women try to do the same thing then they will be called HOES/BITCHES/ etc...............Nothing against guys........Confusing World
