DOCTORS ON THE STREETS: Members of Nepal Medical Practitioners' Union taking part in a protest rally defying the government prohibition orders at Bagbazaar in Kathmandu Tuesday(Kantipuronline).
................................................................

They should be serving patients rather than dancing around the streets. In Nepal, everybody has started a protest rally. They dont need any topics.Just pick some flags up and put bunch of Idiots in one place.Forgive me for saying this, but i could not resist myself.I think the government was right to ban protest in essential services.

MillionDollars Posted on 14-Apr-04 07:54 AM

who said they were doctors ? They are politicians first.
the devil Posted on 14-Apr-04 08:23 AM

For me, they are only human. They do have rights to participate in protests as do others. So, whats the problem?
MillionDollars Posted on 14-Apr-04 08:49 AM

Well, you have got right to make a stupid fool out of yourself. That does not mean you go ahead and do it, does it ?
mildseven Posted on 14-Apr-04 09:02 AM

Its ok guys. They are only missing their shifts in the hospitals. They will all be in their clinics in the evening working hard.
An Indun Poet Posted on 14-Apr-04 09:13 AM

Does that mean Doctors can't sleep, they can't have life. They have to be UP 24-7?
Docs are humans first. They are Nepalese who are scared that their RIGHTs will be taken by the Maoists and the Royals.

Some load of ..............
DP Posted on 14-Apr-04 09:33 AM

Who the hell says that the doctors can't participate in Jusus?
They sure can for the following reasons:
*They are Nepalis
*They are human being
*Since they are human being, they are naturally political
*They are on the street on white gown doesn't mean that they are not doing their job
*They have every right to denounce the "Fawking King" and his "Daine Gulas".
*Doctors had played a major role in 1990
*They are more intellegent than you, so they know what they are doing.

If you have any question, contact me.

Noone said they cannot. But should they ? I guess it is wrong to measure your intellectual abilities via your profession/degrees. I am sure you all have seen d._ick.head doctors and phDs.

MillionDollars Posted on 14-Apr-04 12:27 PM

I am not saying docs are not entitled to jerk off. They are. All I am saying is they should not do it in the middle of the streets while your familiy back home remain prisoners at their own homes.
ProudNepali Posted on 14-Apr-04 01:15 PM

Yo..... MillionDollars bro.... donate few millions to the Maobadis and they will remain quiet and there will be no more hadtal and AAtanka.

Seems like you are frustrated for some reasons.
They became doctors for no reasons. Being doctor is not easy. It's like the toughes job for a student to get into the medical school in any conutry. So, you gotta respect them at first.

Bro... just state out the reasons why you think they shouldn't be doing that? if they do not stand out for their rights (protection or security you name it) then who should?? Everyone has their rights to protest for their own rights. This is democracy. Don't you think they must have had thought for plenty of times before actually heading to the streets?? they surely you do. If it was your first reaction and you just happened to respond to the picture by posting a thread immediately then we can understand that you were missing something. Maybe I am wrong too. But at least give us some knwoledgable REAsons for yours discomfort?? That way everyone can understand the issue better.

I hope you understand what I mean!!!!

mildseven Posted on 14-Apr-04 01:17 PM

they have the right to do that just as the dying people in hospitals have the right to a f-ing doctor. so go figure.
gerox Posted on 14-Apr-04 03:32 PM

They do have the right to protest, but that should not be in the f**king streets. The government has announced the ban in essential services, so that every body can get access to doctors and their services in public hospitals.Doctors are just disappointed because they cant be in clinics earning money if they have posts in big public
hospitals. If they want the posts and fame in big hospitals, they should also devote the designated time in the hospitls. They should not just occupy the public hospitals and spend all of their time in clinics and private nursing homes.

And more..they are just dancing with politicians. they better quit the profession and join the politics.

Yeh, i agree that they possess more intelligence than us.But people, who behave like a fool, with intelligence are worse than people doing the same without intelligence.

luckydude Posted on 14-Apr-04 03:41 PM

I agree with gerox. Just because you have a college or university degree doesn't necessarily mean that you are smart in all ways. I dont like Bandhs and protests at all, especially in a country like ours.

Say, if we have a three day strike then those who feed their family by working all day, how in the hell are they feed their family? For politicians who have tons of money, that's not a big deal.

Why don't Nepalese people understand?

An Indun Poet Posted on 14-Apr-04 04:15 PM

You want to be quite that....

1. Gyane takes in 61 crore per year
2. Gyane buys 15 crore cars
3. spends millions on fecilitations

4. People get hurt by police brutality
5 People get killed just because they don't trust the government.

And the DOC can't take this to the STREET.

GOTTA FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHT....

gerox Posted on 14-Apr-04 04:35 PM

It is not necessary that if one becomes a dumb ass , everybody has to be a dumb ass.

Hey indun poet,

You talk a load of shit, brother. Not that it matters, but I have very little respect for people who cook up things for reasons best known to them. You are one highly prejudiced fella. Stop making ridiculous allegations that your backbone can't handle.

MillionDollars Posted on 15-Apr-04 06:08 AM

Reasons for my frustrations:
Plain and simple. In any form of governance (democratic included), not everyone is happy all the time. There are always people that do not agree with the government or others as we have all seen. I also agree that when they are pissed off, they have right to protest. But the right they absolutely do not have is to disrupt public lives and take their right walk on the streets without the fear of being killed. Makes sense ?
the devil Posted on 15-Apr-04 09:27 AM

Funny...thats why doctors should not go for it.

makar Posted on 15-Apr-04 10:03 AM

No MillionDollar Bro, you don't make sense at all. Here is why:
(1) More street disruptions are caused by all those sawaris. If you want free streets, you know who all to get rid of, don't you?
(2) Opposition to despotism isn't the simple matter of being dissatisfied with the system, it's a question of honour. Do you want to submit your daughters to sarkars the way your grandfathers and their grandfathers did for centuries?
(3) Why every congenitally constipated royalists keep thorwing up on a public forum like sajha? You love licking royal asses, fine, but why deride people fighting to protect their dignity?
It's sick, sick, sick, arguing with idiots who oppose democratic struggle.
MillionDollars Posted on 15-Apr-04 11:59 AM

MakarMan,
Let me make one thing clear before I respond to you Qs. I am not a royalist; I don't know where you got that idea.
1. Sawaris cause street disruptions. Agreed. But the manner/timing in which the disruptions take place is not the same. Regardless, I hate bloody sawaris. Something needs to be done about that.

2. I did not see "Nirnayak Andolan" to prosecute Paras when he murdered Praveen Gurung and many more. Why ? Because that does not help parties take over power. They already had it. And needless to add, they are a bunch of cowards anyway. So what the fawk would they care ? I am really not sure when your sisters will be better protected. One thing that is certain is that they will not be as long as we have a royal d..ic..kheads like Paras and coward leaders like GP, MKN, Deuba, SBT, Chand.. the list goes on... We are doomed either way.

3. I already mentioned that I am not a royalist. So fawk yoursef.
Gerox Posted on 16-Apr-04 08:09 AM

I agree with MillionDollars. One does not need to be a royalist to oppose any kind of ongoing strike in Nepal.I am also not royalist, but Just can not see people destroying the fences ,automobiles and other many things in the name of "Julus and Bandh".As for doctors, I always oppose the protest in essential services.

Pepole, who dont like my opinion, just cool down.
