Two Nepalis Killed in Iraq
Two ex-Gorkha British soldiers working as security guards in north Iraq died on Friday when their vehicle hit a landmine planted by the Iraqi insurgents, reports said Wednesday.
The Nepalis have been identified as Shiva Prasad Lawati and Ram Bahadur Gurung from Sunsari and Chitwan districts. They were reported to have been returning to their residence from work, reports added.
According to the Kantipur daily Wednesday, neither the Iraqi government and nor the Global Risk Strategies Hong Kong Limited, the company involved in sending ex-Gorkhas to Iraq , have informed the bereaved families about the incident. nepalnews.com pd Apr 14 04
