India bans Nepali tea leaves The Indian government has banned the import of Nepali tea leaves via Pashupatinagar from Saturday, a Kathmandu based daily said Wednesday. India ’s decision has distinctly affected the farmers in east Nepal as around 20,000 kilogram tea leaves were exported daily to India through Pashupatinagar Customs, The Kathmandu Post said. "The ban imposed during the picking season has brought unprecedented negative impact to us," the daily quoted tea farmers as saying. The Indian government has mentioned the ongoing elections as a cause behind the ban, the daily further said. Nepali tea leaves are mostly exported to Darjeeling district of India. ------- WHAT a cause behind the ban !!!!!!!!! Source: npnews 04/20

Yeah, absolutely. The first thing we need to do if we want to distance ourself from India is to not let Gurkhas go to India for chowkidar duty. It is of course a given that Gurkhas make up a bigger Nepali population in India than anybody else. Speaking of selling out, I think these traitors who serve India by doing chowkidar duty or fighting for dhoti Indians are bigger culprits than anybody else. To exacerbate the situation, this subservient attitude has even corrupted Nepalis(particularly Gurkhas), as exemplified by hundreds of Gurkhaboys working as waiters(another nokar le garne duty) and/or babbysitters for dhoti Indians. From what I hear, dhoti boys beat the crap out of Gurkhas-boys in India, make them lick dhoti boots, and make them live in scraps of food from garbagecans. Not just that, Gurkhagirls are even found in Bombay ko haveli. This is something shameful to Nepalis in General, even non-gurkhas. Yes, the thing is Indians generalize Nepalis as "Gurkhas", which is not true of course. We are not all Gurkhas.

What would you do when your country is not able to provide you enough jobs? What would you do when your country is not able to provide you enough security? What would you do when your country is not able to provide you enough food to eat? You would not let your family die in hunger, would you? They did not go to india for chawkidari even though they had good jobs in Nepal See the point from their perspective brother. Why the hell did we come to U.S.? If that is the case we are as guilty as the Grukha brothers who do chawkidari jobs, only a different job and a different place. Indians are suckers, they are trying to suck every drop of blood out of our veins. Kill Dhotis, I say. India = Asian Palentine

we should be making tea available to other countries as well yah kow. it ain;t like india.s the only way out or sumthing man. the govt has to make some pacts with tea loving countries... and they could be sold at a higher price than selling to those Indians but, lower than what they sell to otheres.. plus, the quality will almost be the same.. so any busineess minded freaks here willing to take on that?? :P P.S i dunno anything abt tea growing and their quality in Nepal but that's juz a suggestion.. :P
