Do you think this as a climax of Nepali politics? I think, yeah, this may be the climax of the drama. Whatever Maoist is telling about royal family is all script written and directed by some responsible person of country. Why they don’t understand that, people of Nepal is very innocent, they just want peace and now after experiencing 15 year of democracy, they don't mind who is ruler. They accept who ever becomes PM. Even they can accept the Aadhi Pagal Sher B. Deuwa, killer no. 1 Baburam or Prachanda, corruptor Girija, bolne thekaan na bhayeko K.P.Bhattarai, na yeta na uta Madhav Nepal, saam daam dand bhed Surya B. Thapa or arkai ko bharosa ma Lokendra B. Chand. Do you have any new face in your mind? I don’t know what maoist wants to do, I think, may be they also don’t know what they are going to. It’s all suspense, keep watching it. Long time back I watched one nepali movie on sangrila channel named “Khilauna” directed by Yubraj Lama, trust me, that’s the worst movie. I think director himself did not know what he made. Bichara….. From Nepalnews.com: Maoist statement said they will take actions against what they call "infamous royalists", "high-level corrupt authorities and assassins". The statement further says the Maoists will burn the effigies of King Gyanendra and Crown Prince Paras and will ban government vehicles from entering all district headquarters including Kathmandu Valley. The payment and collection of all type of taxes and fees to and by the government will also be banned, the statement said, adding that the agitation will end with the completion of a three-day long countrywide general strike beginning May 18. As of Maoists' analysis on the contemporary politics, the statement says, "Nepal is on the threshold of transitional change". It adds: "The possibility of setting up a "democratic republic" nation is growing large due to the Maoists' "people's war" and parliamentary parties' anti-King protests." "It's now a 'historical need' to launch a united agitation of Maoists and parliamentary parties after formulating minimum common programs for the establishment of a 'democratic republic' in Nepal." The statement, posted on a pro-Maoist website, has signatures of the Maoists' underground supremo Prachanda and second man Baburam Bhattarai.

It will not be wrong to say that Maoists have technically won the war. But, political parties staging the rallies peacefully will be the final winner when it comes to mind and heart, the only drawback they have is to purify their party from sins like GRJ, Arjun Nar Singh KC and so on ... the corrupts. It will take time to get rid of these corrupts and one more thing will be to abort Girija's ambition to put his daughter in the NC's central committee. I am sure they will win the real war. GP

GPji, Nice to read your comments. I think it is important that those who are demonstrating in the roads also demonstrate for intra party democracy. For example, a few years ago, an acquaintee of mine told me about Dr Gangadhar Lamsal's attitude. Apparently, he was not worrying even after local cadres of Nepali Congress didn't choose him among top 3 candidates from his constituency. He knew from KP Bhattarai that he was being selected to run from NC in the area. In the form of Politbureau and Central Committee's right to overturn results of 'primaries' in constituencies, these central committee's are yielding enormous power. In fact, power has been sent back to leaders from people. They should abolish the system where politbureau can override local committee's valid selections. This system will help us a lot. For example, if tomorrow I want to run for MP, all I need to woo is people of NC or UML or Janamorcha in a local level rather than Girija or Madhav Nepal or distasteful people like Govinda Raj Joshi or Khum Bahadur. But it is not entirely true that Girija or Madhav can do what they want. Girija definitely wants to see his daughter in NC central committee. He has right to nominate a lot of central committee members too. But he has not been able to appoint his daughter in NC central committee. We must look at the favorable points of Mr Koirala too. A lot of people think he has been harsh to Mr KP Bhattarai. But, let's be frank here, Mr Koirala is far more popular than Mr Bhattarai as a leader in NC. He got above 80% vote when he contested for presidency. He also gave PMship later to Deuba though Mr Koirala definitely had more MPs than Deuba. We need to give him his due. I also remember a situation regarding Madan Bhandari and Pradip Nepal where Madan Bhandari didn't include Mr Nepal in his central committee, but made alternate committee member. In any case, we all are learning now. I have faith on our people, and on their ability to chastise leaders. Our future lies in united , politically decentralized republican democratic Nepal. And hopefully, we will see such Nepal one day soon.

Well, I think she deserve it, otherwise who will continue Koirala's in Nepali Congress. She has get many lessons from Girija on "How to become PM of Nepal". She knows how to tackle with leaders, people and corruptors. She knows how to use/mis-use power of PM. I rememeber one time, when there was a Nepal banda for three days and she was going to Yak n Yeti fitness centre with PM Laskar, te to te to te to te to, alert everybody Future PM Ms. Sujata Koirala is coming. Sujata, president of Sushma Koirala fund. Do somebody has idea, how much money that fund has....not less than 8 figure.
