YEah.... that's what Successive WOrld Cup and European titles do to you. HE played good soccer for few years and he made his stand.

Only if BEckham had won one single World Cup with his ENglish Squad, it would have been a different story. By the way, who is the most popular player of the Decade???
haha

girls must be crying not seeing Beckham on the list.

Being fan of Italian football team, I am happy to see Rossi, Baresi and Maldini mentioned. I thought Roberto Baggio was the best ever to play for Italian national team.

And being a great Marco Van Basten fan, it is absolutely awesome that he is there in the all time list. He is a born striker and some amazing goals he scored. I was hoping Klinsmann would be there in the all time list because of his amazing ability to score some spectacular strikes. Amazing I didn't see Diego Maradona there.

so is alan shearer, top marksman in english league for a decade plus top scorer in euro 96.
george best won only one european cup with man utd and didnt do much with northern ireland.

rudi voeller is missing as well.
i feel voeller is better than rossi with a world cup(90) and runners up(86) medal under his belt.

heres the full table for the top 50's...
got it from www.uefa.com (click the flash on the left..when a player face shows up ;).)

cant believe Lineker is on 46th position??:| while beckam is 22nd??:|

and well Zinane he is good enuf for the best Euro player for the last decade ...but the best player for the past 50 yrs?? err im not fully convinced...though he will definetly be in the top 3 of my choice..:D...

anyways found out this list is an online poll...so it is definetly biased..;)...all the old supporters wouldnt really be voting thru the net..and the younger generation most prob wouldnt have seen enuf footage of the older retired players..:(...
