Ex Cardinals safety Pat Tillman was killed in Afghanistan while serving for his country. Tillman played four seasons with the Cardinals before joining the Army along with his younger brother in May 2002. The safety turned down a three-year, $3.6 million offer from the Cardinals. He was one of the best players in his position to play. It was told that he was influenced by the 9/11 incident. He wanted to serve for his country. He was one of those rare people who could do anything when he set out. I wish I had a vision like him.

I watched him play since his days in ASU. He was a fun to watch. He is a hero and an inspiration to many giving up his life for his country.

My respect to the departed soul and condolences goes to his family and friends.

Ya AX..Actually I din't know him that well until there was a short documentary on him during Monday Night football..last year ( 2002).The guy was so loyal to Cardinals that he decided not to sign an offer sheet worth around $ 9 million dollars.with the Rams..Not only that..I heard that he used to come to training camp on his bicycle..and never carried a cell phone!!..the guys was just simple and had no greed for money...This should be a great lesson to all those money hungry athletes who bicker about the money they make....

I am truly sad..as I expected him to make it back to NFL after he had completed his assgn in Iraq.
