I like dhoti babes from the Punjab region of India; they are hot as hell, not to mention light-skinned, which most of us Nepalis seem not to have. I have met a Kashmiri(Pakistani supposedly, at least she said so) chic who was drop-dead gorgeous, almost white as snow. My jaws dropped when I saw her for the first time. Damn pretty. |

i am not trying to be raceist towards indians. I dont have anything against them. Its just that it is sad to see how much we are getting eaten by indian culture even through wesbites ! Where is our nepali culture? I visit this website so that I can feel right at Nepal chatting with all you guys in Nepali. It used to be fun. But Now, its like every other post is in Hindi. Come on, show some dignity. Even Hotmail forwards are being spammed by Hindi peoms, jokes etc. And dont tell me to be openminded, non-raciest cause i am not. When I said I prefer Shiva shrestha, people flamed me that he is old blah blah ans said arjuna rampal is better. WTF is this. Am I the only one trying to defend our culture? I feel like you all are zombies hypnotized by indian jadugars. Pathetic. I understand the political situaiton in Nepal is bad right now, but we gotta realize that we are in climax right now, it will surely improve. At least we were not under Britian RAJ like India. If we Nepalese dont hold hands together who will? Shiva Shrestha can play Amitabh Bachhan's grandpa in movies. He's that old. It's your own fault that you don't talk about younger, better looking Nepali actors like Rajesh Hamal. Fact is, Rajesh Hamal is better looking than many Indian actors. He's probably the only goodlooking Nepali actor. As for actresses, don't even go there. They are all butt-ugly. I have met many goodlooking Nepali gals mano-a-mano in my life, but kollywood actresses suck bigtime.   |

Hey I know Shiva Shrestha is old but his acting is evergreen. Also if you want to compare hindi actors/actress, compare our population too shall you. India is the 2nd cmost popullated country in the world after china so obviusly they have more choices in selecting their actresses. Hello guys, As far as Nepali and India culutre are concerned, I think we have more similarities than differences. Having said that there are zillions of Indians who don't give a heck about Nepal, which totally pisses me off. Matter of fact some even consider Nepal to be part of India...Now tell me how stupid and dumb is that? Things like those definitely piss me off and I don't feel like being associated with Indian stuffs. I dont hate any Nepali if they watch Indian movies or like Indian actors/actress..thats their freedom of right...BUT I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE START COMPARING INDIAN STUFFS WITH NEPALI...Now that wouold make me mad....So I guess I am fine as long as people respect Nepal and Nepali culture...furthermore its always good to be concerned about OUR OWN NEPALI culture than foreign thing.... Lets us all use English as a medium of communication in this forum.Y resort to Hindi when we all understand English.Furthermore some of us many not understand the language. And oh yes,please stop about Bollywood movies.I tell u they sucks big time.Watching hindi movie is watching a x-rated show and ther dance number makes them look stupid.Don't waste time on such craps ! As far as I know, bollywood makes the most number of movies in the world but their film all sux.(does not inlcude artistic film). I guess it high time that u "grow up" and make transition from hindi movies.I myself used to b great fan of bollywood movies but now I find their them chilidish. Hello! I agree with Meera 100%. I have been reading the postings on this forum for a while but this is my first posting. In general, most postings/artricles are of good quality and cover wide ranging areas such as political and social issues, science, technology and development related isues, human relation issues, arts and literature related issues, humors etc that appeal to all intellectual levels and all age groups. However, some postings/thread like this "petition" is full of prejuidice and stereotype. This shows nothing but the inferiority complex of the poster. You may call the Indians all the names in the world, but that is not going to do any harm to them. It will only hurt us. Do not forget that most of our ancestors were from India. Many of Nepal's early inteelectuals were educated in India. Our religious and cultural heritage is mostly Indocentric. Our country's life line passes through India. Some of you who were old enough to remember the 1989 embargo will remember very well how difficult it becomes for us to survive if India wants to play hard ball with us. I do not advocate that we should be subservient to the Indians or the Indian nation when there is genuine injustice done to us. However, there are ways to register your disagreements and protests. You can express your disagrrements in a civil way. Calling names to the other parties only shows one'sr own weakness. We, (I mean the Nepalese) have been bashing India and the Indians for ever, but look where we are now and where India is now? Our country is in the verge of being declared a failed state whereas India is shining and challenging the US in IT, science and technology. If anything, we should try to learn from them and not bash them by calling them Dhoti. I have a theory here. I believe that most people who are very anti Indian and call them names like Dhoti, Indian Chutiya, Madhise, Kaluwa etc. have never set their foot in India. All they have seen is "Khali Shisi, Purano Kagaaz" type of street vendors in Kathmandu and made up their mind about India and Indians. Even though India was ruled by the British and we were never under any colonial rule, look where India is now and where we are? Every third IT professional in the world is from India. India is the envy of the world due to its IT professionals, due to its knowledge based resources. The IITs and IIMs of India are the envy of not only Asia but the whole world. Agreed that India has a lot of problems, lots of poverty and lots of social problems which are worse than in Nepal (example: Dowry system and dowry related deaths, communal strifes etc.), however, they are moving slowly but surely to address these problems. I remember reading somewhere an argument between an Indian and a Pakistani, where the Indian says that Pakistan as a nation is in the gutter. The Pakistani guy then replies that India is in a bigger gutter as it has more societal problems and more communal strifes than Pakistan. Then the Indian agrees and says , "Yes you are right, we are both in the gutter, howevert we are in the gutter and looking at the stars, whereas you are in the gutter and looking into deeper gutters" Any way, my suggestion is to refrain from making such incendiary postings that does nothing to further the cause of this forum in particular or of our country in general. Why not express one's disagreements or dissenting opinions in a civilized way without calling names or resorting to personal attacks? Let us all behave like matured people and show respect to others even though we do not agree with them. Just my two cents. Not intended to start a flame war. |

Hey Lemme maky myself clear. I dont care what you guys call me. All I said at start was just stop posting Indian peoms because this is meant to be nepali. Where is racism is that? Actually, Why I am so pissed off at Indians is that I got F-1 Visa, so i work at Indian restaurant called Indian Rasoi illegally. Guess what my payrate is?? $3.00 an hour. WHen I mess up stuff sometimes they call me names like Sale, etc etc in their language. They probably think I dont understand but I just stay quiest because I got nowhere else to work. Imagine how much frustrated would I be? So I come home to Sajha.com to see some good threads and I find threads about hot Indian Chick, sayari, jokes, posts about no-good Manoj Bhojpai etc. I mean if you gotta admire an Indian admire someone like Udit Narayan. About Udit, We all know he is the best singer in India, better than Sonu Nigam, Abhijiit, maybe even better than Jagjit singh. But Indian music is so shit that Udit barely gets awarded. Yes,it is Nepali site and it is understood that most people should communicate in English.Why resort to hindi.So are u saying that the people here who write in hindi r dhoti??? Well ,I am not saying that but the way u write seems to indicate.Anyway, English is a acceptable form of languauge used by many countries in the world so it is right that we stick to English.But people who are uncomfortable with English can of course choose to use Nepali. Yo guys, People tend to be judgmental when it comes to things like movies, showbiz that are filled with glitz and glamour. Why not argue about something productive? I have total respect towards Nepali and Hindi artists but they are not the ones we should be talking about or comparing for that matter. Let’s be more concerned about our economy, education system and national security. I would love to see people showing some kind of apprehension when it comes to that. Hyatterica & Meera: Yes, you are correct that we tend to call names towards Indian citizens or stereotype them. But guess what? We are not the only culprits when it comes to that. The words like Gurkha (it’s a great compliment though) and watchman are more than frequently used to call Nepalis and the racism of Indians towards Nepalis is totally out of control. The buying and selling of Nepali females, abusing Nepali workers and trying to interfere in internal matter of Nepal has been India’s trait for a long time. Having said that we need India otherwise our system doesn’t run at all. It is so important to have a better understanding with our neighboring countries to do well in different aspects. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once again I respect the choices people make when it comes to choosing what to watch and what not to watch…But isn’t it better to care more about something that is totally yours? Thanks for supporting me. I totally agree with Bhanja. Why do people have this ill mentality that we are inferrior to Indians. Just because our culture coincides with India, doesnt make us Indias. We got our own culture and heritage. If people dont want to communicate in English then please type in Nepali. It gives a feeling of belonging. I know I may have offended lots of people here in Sajha, I apologize. This post was not meant to be offensive to any of the nepalese. Just take a look, there has been more INdian posts than Nepali lately. And also about that Mnoj Bhojpai, I dont know what u gals see in him. His face looks like a chimpanjee found in one of those african jungles. Rajesh Hamals beats him in every catagory. Its just that Nepali movie script sucks, otherwise we have got very good actors like Rajesh Hamal, Shiva Shrestha, MAHA etc etc. |

As for Simplegal I want tel u this, I actually don't know much about present actors and actress as I find them very boring(same old story,dancing around like a goon) and time wasting.But when saw this new sensation's pictures, I don't if u would believe me,I smelled the pungent smell of curry !! People like Prem_Charo,Porcelina,Simplegal and many others should b familiar about hindi movies.Anyway if u r thinking about making bollywood movies, kindly follow these rules: Top 10 Rules of film-making in Bollywood 1) Two brothers separated in childhood will always grow up on different sides of the law. The law-breaker, however, will suddenly turn over a new leaf before the end, bash up the villain (who is the *real* bad guy), and be pardoned for all his sins before the last-scene family reunion. (This is possible only if he has a heroine - see rule 2 below). 2) If the number of heroes is not equal to the number of heroines, the excess heroes/heroines will a) die b) join the Red Cross and take off to Switzerland before the end of the movie. 3) If there are 2 heroes in a movie, they will fight each other savegely for at least 5 minutes (10 if they are brothers). 4) Any court scene will have the dialogue "Objection milord". If it is said by the hero, or his lawyer, it will be sustained. Else, it will be overruled. 5) The hero's sister will usually marry the hero's best friend (i.e. the second hero). Else, she will be raped by the villain within the 1st 30 minutes, and commit suicide. 6) In a chase, the hero will *always* overtake the villain, even on a bullock-cart, or on foot. 7) When the hero fires at the villain(s), he will never a) miss b) run out of bullets. When the villain fires at the hero, he will always miss (unless the hero is required to die, as in rule 2). 8) Any fight sequence shall take place in the vicinity of a stack of a) pots b) barrels c) glass bottles, which will be smashed to pieces. 9) Any movie involving lost+found brothers will have a song sung by a) the brothers b) their blind mother (but of course, she has to be blind in order to regain her sight in the climax) c) the family dog/cat. The amazing thing is that these folks remember the song after 20 years in the movie, and you can't remember it 2 minutes after coming out of the theatre. 10) Police inspectors (when not played by the hero) come in two categories: a) Scrupulously honest, probably the hero's father - killed by the villain before the titles. b) Honest, but always chasing the anti-hero (as in Rule 1), saying "Tum kanoon se bach nahin sakte", only to pat him in the back in reel 23. Usually, this inspector's daughter is in love with the anti-hero. c) The corrupt inspector, (usually the *real* villain's sidekick) unceremoniously knocked about by the hero(s) in the climax. They can b applied as many times as possible |

Here is a bonus guide for your hero ! HINDI MOVIE STUNT LAWS * All heroes have a training in martial arts and driving all kinds of vehicles (including horses). * To make hero's task easier, villian chharu's generally approach him one by one. * All fights tend to shift towards a place which is stacked with empty drums. * If hero is being chased by villian(s) on foot, a bridge should be very near to the place with either a deep river underneath a railway line (with a train moving on it). * Empty wine bottles are always within a hand's reach to be broken and used for assault by the villain. * No known hero has ever got hit by such a bottle. * Towards the end of a fight when the hero has almost over-powered the Main villian, the sub-villian always finds the heroine or hero's mother handy to hold her at gunpoint. * Children and animals are generally found to be useful in such situations. * Bullet rdden people always live to reveal incomplete identity of their murderer. * If one car is chasing the other, one of them definately come across a hand-cart containing fruits (generally watermelons). |

No wonder, with that kind of subservient mindset, Nepal has been at the receiving end of bullying all the time. Maybe you are being liberal minded and all that, but where is our self respect, where is our sense of self dignity and self worth? We are nepalese, first and foremost. We are who we are. There is nothing to be ashamed about that. Learn to love your country and your people before anything else. I find it highly odd that a nepalese gets bashed up left right and centre in a "NEPALESE FORUM" for making an appeal to fellow posters to cut down on indian stuffs. You guys are really pathetic. If you are obsessed about indian stuffs, there are loads of indian forums on the net. Furthermore, the posts seem to insinuate that indians are better than nepalese. SHAME ON YOU. But I don't care what your opinion is, nor do I want you to change your opinion. I just feel sad that many nepalese feel that way. There is a small impoverished island in the Pacific that is predicted to submerge in the ocean in a couple of years, and Australia has pledged to take in all it's citizens when that happens. BTW, this is a report I saw on the telly. None of the inhabitants of the island seemed to be rejoicing at the prospect of emigarting to a wealthy country. All the inhabitants said that given a chance they would much rather have their own nation than go to Australia. Yes, that's what I call a true patroit. It's who you are. It's your identity. STRONGLY disagree with whoever came up with the stupid freaking idea of this thread..... If you have not realized it... we are quite closely related to the indian culture... IF YOU CANT GET OVER IT... DONT MISUSE this sajha forum to express ur pathetic excuses for patriotism and shit... DONT try and tell me the food you eat is not similar to indian... OR the clothes you wear... OR even the way you WRITE ur freaking language (realised it is the same damn script...) Its easy to dislike others... It is easy to stay all the way in freaking US and be all high and mighty about it... I DONT EVEN SEE ANY FREAKING WEBSITE in the entire web that is WRITTEN FULLY IN NEPALI... DONT use patriotism as an EXCUSE to express ur freaking frustrations because you cant come up to the standards of some Indian nerd in your school or work or where ever... GET OVER IT!
