Hey there people,
Let us all once and for all settle the issue of posting in hindi once and for all.I know many vulgarites has been exchanged among us.On my side I don't hold anyting against u all but I do hope that we will stop posting in Hindi once and for all.

as for meh!!!! i don't see any problem with indian language.. or any other..
the name of this site is SAJHA means SABAIKO
today we r saying we don't want indian language.. tomorrow we will be saying.. we need to stop newari language... n promote sum other.. day after we ll be saying.. stop nepali n promote magar langauge.. n blah blah blah
SAN dai.... we should be allowed to post in any language we feel comfortable with.. if we are to bann hindi language... because its not nepali.. then english isn't our language either...

Sajha means Sabaiko only in Nepalese languane not in any other languae. This site is only for nepalese, I vote out Hindi.

YB, we learn english in our school, so we can talk in english. Back in nepal, we don't learn hindi language. THUS, i vote out Hindi threads. I mean o'course we can talk about India and HINDI stuff, but havig a thread, to talk about hindi only is not right.

Common people whats wrong with u, it is clear that English and Nepali will b the medium of language to b used here in Sajha.com. Those of u who vehemnetly oppose, I know for sure r either Indian educated,Indian or Bollywood fan.Keep you sentiment aside when u surf into this sajha.com.
I guess if there is too much liberty in the languages allowed, this forum will b chaotic.Keeping this forum in Nepali and English is the best way.
I understand those hindi-pro people have put forward the idea in sarcastic manner that nepali b the only language and my respond to u guys.Go n fly kite !!!!
English no matter which country u go to is a acceptable form of language and I don't c why that it cannot b used.Hindi on the other hand though understood by many should nver b used here.
If u guys still insist on using hindi in this forum then I ask u ,"where is your pride people?"
Using hindi in Nepali forum is a great insult to the nepalese.So people as a Nepalese we should refrain from using hindi here.

Bhanja maybe you should KEEP ur differences with you and get on with ur life man... really... I understand you really have something against hindi and India but please dont make public fool out of urself...
Either you hate hindi that much OR you LOVE it too much... You keep writing about it, a thread dies down and then you start another one.. then that dies down and then you COME up with this one... Looks like a pattern to me... OCD??? I recommend Prozac! :D

Why, should language be a barrier if someone deems that would be the best medium to express their views dnions.
One thing we have to consider is that many of our brothers have Hindi or a slight modified version of it as their mother tongue, what about them.
Let us not squeeze ourselves for sake of illusionary pride, let us open up.
There are other things seeking immediate attention to upgrade Sajha quality then to pursue ban on a language of expression.

Whatever reason u give Bros I stand on my ground firmly.
Whateve, a suggestion to discuss our differences was actually put forward by the administartor himself.
Mr Kalekrishna, may I ask u how come your so called brothers have modified nepali???
From what u wrote, I conclude that u r one of the so many nepalese who has no pride of being nepalese.I thought the sense of being nepali would b very strong if he/she was away from Nepal but u prove me otherwise.
Mr Kale bro, me on the other hand will never stand by and c u use hindi in this forum.Evevn if I am kicked out, I will always find ways and means to go against the use of hindi in this forum.
I know as the arguement starts to grow there will be lots of vulgaraties and threats but I m prepared.Too bad that we can only use words.I feel quite angry actually that I am not able to nip ur throats.

Bhanja, as modified (Nepali) Hindi (was what I wrote) were the Avadhi, Bhojpuri, Maithali, and other dialects that our bretherns in the bordering region with India speak. There are many other Nepalese in India who speak and communicate in Hindi, what if they happen to be a visitor to this Sajhaland and wanted to share something that was in Hindi.
No, Bhanja to doubt my pride in being a Nepali you have to know me, what you know about me to come to hasty conclusion.I am as much a Nepali as you, if not better.
I respect your opinion, but I beg to differ on it, permit me.
No, Bhanja nipping throats is no solution because someone else can also get the jugulars, I for one belief in intelectual debate.

Well, Kalekrishna u have proven me wrong about my suspicion u being not nepali and I m glad.
If u talk about the dialect, I still say that we stick to the nepali language which most nepali knows.Lets not bring into dialect and hindi,chinese,malay,spanish etc. English and Nepali should b the medium of language for this forum.
Sorry about my over enthusisiam in this language issue here.Anyway, I am not a super priveliged person like San who has the authority just "kill the person", I am just like u all anytime I can be kicked out.Anyway like I said b4, I am not worried much about being kicked out.I will just write in things I believe and I hope u guys would do the same.Writing in this forum has sort of let me reileve stress.So I will respond as soon as possible if time permits.
Waiting to hear from u guys.

Tehi_moro_ashish, yes I am Rai.But I will never bring Rai issue here.
In my point of view, there is no place for triblism here in Sajha.One will claim to be better than the the other and so and forth.I guess I will not want to waste your time on issues faced by Rais community.
In Sajha, we are all nepali; there is no rai,magar,gurung paudel,limbu,tamang,etc.
Kale Bro, Rai has a long history which dates back to Mahabhart and so forth and there has been attempts to revive Rai history and dialects but I say again,"I will not discuss here".

Bhanja a big question to u is ..r u sleeping or r u acting as sleeping? if u r sleeping we can wake u up....if u r acting as sleeping then ofcourse nobody can.
Interest in other language should be taken in nothing more than an interest ...n a national pride is another issue. Nevermind though people in ruwanda like to speak french than their own language which is almost extinct..but that doesnt mean that they wont stand against any french invasion just becoz they speak the same language. First of all what we ve got to understand is language is not defned by political boundries...if it has a tendency to flourish then nobody can stop it... a solid example is our use of english in postings on sajha isnt it an english invasion that we r typing in english n not in nepali specially when there is a discussion over our own language.
Using of hindi should not be considered as a harm to the nationality....what abt people in bhutan sikkim n some other parts of India speakin Nepali. They r ofcourse not nepali though but should their govt deny the use of our language.
ha ha brodda just be fair....its upto u that u dont speak hindi but its upto me that I speak hindi whenever necessarry n still mentain my nationality. Feel ur nationality in ur blood n not in ur tongue...coz tongues have ruined our country.

Well Bro,I did not say that there should not be an interest in learning new language.Anyway anybody can twist and turn the issue we are dicsussing to suit or their own support arguement.Please bear in mind that I am not aganist any new language learning.In fact learning new language is good and if u can mater it, it is an asset and I say go for it.But please if u wish to use the language here on the forum,don't use it.
U think I am sleeping but I am not and I hope u r not too.
Please don't amplify the problem out of proporation and bring of national issue.We are only concern here if posting in hindi should be allowed.Looks like u r into politics, r u??
Regarding the banning of Nepali language in bhutan sikkim, I presume that the local government wants them to integrate them with the local so as to foster unity.Now even in Nepal if I can rembember hindu was not a dominant religion so how come majority r hindu.
Please Bro, don't give me silly excuse.I know u all are bollywood fan and like to imitate those dialoguge among friends thinking it is cool.
If u really fancy using hindi than I say go to some indian site and post there in hindi.

This has by far been the most controversial topic and I think its hard to come to a fair conculsion. This is how I see it...more like Pros and cons
Why shouldn't we care if people speak Hindi?
- Thats their freedom of right ..speak what they want!!
- We have had huge Indian influence so it is automatic that Hindi movie watching, Indian stuffs following people are bound to talk that way
- yes, there are lots of Nepali residing in India and it would be unfair if we not let them speak the language. Also they might not be as fluent in Nepali as they are in Hindi.
- Once again ..a individuals nationality shouldn't be questioned if he/she speaks other languages.
Why should WE CARE ????
- first and foremost..We are a small country with very rich culture of our own. We have so many languages of our own!! Why not use them? Why not do something about it???
- Indians still seem to recognize Nepal as one of their parts..SO IN ORDER TO SAVE OUR ORIGINALITY WE SHOULD GIVE EMPHASIS ON NEALI LANGUAGE.
- As for me I dont get why people go to Nepali wesites and talk about Indian movie stars and what not...Geez..there are so many other Hindi sites u can do that. Now you might argue that we shouldnt also be watching English movies ..etc etc..But again English is an UNIVERSALLY accepted language so we have no choice. Back when I started going to school I was taught English from the first grade NOT HINDI!! ...So Using English is justifiable.
- For example: A Nepali if he happens to be in India will try to speak Hindi ..But if a Indian guy who happens to live in Nepal for ages won't speak Nepali..He will hardly learn few words and still try to communicate with u using Hindi..Why? cuz they are so loyal to their language
Conclusion:
I know this topic has no right or wrong answers but I strongly believe that we should make sure that we don't lose our identity.Down the line I don't people telling me that Nepali is like INDIA..No disrespect to India but I would like my country to represented on its own. Anyway I dont think people should be banned if they use HINDI but again why would you if u care abt Nepal? Enuff said...have fun..

Ashish, ashish, yes I know there are many Indians in nepali and understand their plight.U mention that ur indian friend fare very well nepali exam than the nepal nepalese.From what u wrote Ur friend and most other indians who resides in nepal is trying hard to be accepted as citizen of nepal.So can I say that people who are using hindi here in this forum is trying to b Indian ????

We r nepali and should only post in nepali and english.

Yeah, i don't understand what is the big deal if people speak languages other than Nepali. I mean there are newars, gurungs, bhojpuri...are they not languages? Here is a rule of thumb: If you don't like something, ignore it.

First of all I would like to be called Bro... Aashish please don’t get me wrong as I am not naive about the state in Nepal. My opinions truly reflect what I think about the situation and as I have mentioned earlier this is a controversial topic and there are no immediate right answers.
Aashish….Mukesh might be a sad example of Indian born trying to be a Nepali…But keep in mind that there are many more diverse examples…there are countless people who live in India-Nepal border with dual citizenships, which to this date is considered to be illegal. My issue is …if you consider being part of a certain country then why would you have to hold dual citizenship? I rudely question the loyalty of those people…
To cut this short….Aashish bro I am generous enough to see both the pros and cons of this situation. Don’t get me wrong but I have no problem if some foreigner wants to stay in Nepal legally and wants to be a citizen after he/she has fulfilled the requirements. All I want to see is his some patriotism towards Nepal.and little more concern…that’s what I think..correct me if I am wrong…
