A vacated 2 room studio apartment at Astoria (Steinway Street: 10 minuted from Manhattan <3 stops from Midtown>). I've been there for the past 4 years...very clean and safe apartment. High ceilings, wood paneled walls and huge windows.
Great for students and couples. Very convenient as the next building is a public library, there's a laundromat a few paces away and the R,V,G and weekend E trains stop is within the same block (the N,Q,W is also within walking distance). Within a range of 3 blocks, there are great places for shopping, easy access to banks (Chase and Commerce), cinemas, restaurants, bars and clubs. Also, there are a lot of Nepalese and Tibetans living in the neighborhood so there are times when you may feel like you're back in Nepal.
