This is crazy. We've more volunteers for cheerleading than the guys who are willing to play the game. I'm partly to blame for this baller, I shouldn't have announced that I'm coaching the team this year. Anyway, if you ladies are willing to cheer for our team, there is a certain process you have to follow. First, you MUST send your photo and a short description of your cheerleading experience to our interim coach Neapliballer's email address. Then baller will discuss this with our cheerleading selection committee and after that we'll start the selection process. Is that fair ?? However, I’ve decided not to take part and interfere with this selection process because all my efforts should focus on coaching the team only. That way, I can also save myself from your curse in case if you’re not selected. So, Good Luck to you ladies and leave me alone. Trikalji, would you mind telling me what is my coaching debut is gonna be like ?

I don't think any audition is necessary for you but your picture with a cheerleading costume would be helpful to get more male applicants for the game. By the way, this year the ANA management has changed the cheerleading theme from BRING "IT" ON to
"SHAKE IT LIKE POLAROID BADGER". You can start practice on that one with lovely NEHA. Please post your picture soon cuz we still don't have enuff players. Thanks in advance for your help. You are the Boston Fan Number One :-)

These people here have no idea about what it takes to win??
Boston lost to Denver because of the poorest official judgings ever. Damn.... ask the Denver players... didn't they come and tell that they were sorry about the poor jobs of the officials. There was no control of the TImE CLOCk. We were caught off-guard not by the opposing players but by the game rules. You shoot free throws and the clock is running. one takes 3 minutes to shoot two free throws.... and nevermind.. that was a perfect plan. And none knew how the teams will be selected to go to the next round.... until the teams got selected. We were wiining in the game against NEbraska. We didn't know by what margin we had to defeat them. We beat them eventually. ANd after the game.. the ANA volunteer comes and tells us that the team from NY qualifed ahead of us because they scored three more points than us. Boy ask anyone there who was present on the court at that game..... Wasn't Boston capable of scoring three more points?? You bet we were. But we were just focussin on winning game. Win by one or 50, it's a win. Had we known the qualifying criteria, we would have get it done.
Ask any team whether they fear BOston or not??
As of the pool we were in. Boston, Nebraska and Denver. Each of the teams won one game each and lost one game each also.
here's the interesting part.
GAmE 1: Denver beats Boston by some 5 or 7 points.
Game 2: Nebraska beats Denver by some 15-20 points.
Crowd expection?? ---------------------> Nebraska will beat Boston by some 20+ points.
hell No.
Game 3: Boston beats Nebraska by some 5+ points.
Now... somebody tell me who is the best in the pool.
Nebraska played really hard. They did show why they beat Denver so easily.
So Yo Dogg.... don't worry about what others say. you know what potential we have. Besides.. these gals ((Sorry gals.. bit hard on you here.. the way you were against us)) do not know what the qualification criteria were and what the rules were.... and you bet not many of them might know the Basketball rules. Oh yeah.. when a ball goes through the neT .. there's a score. But you bet.. there's more to basketball than just putting the ball inside the ring.

And Please gals do come for Cheerleading. We will love to have you guys around us. Last time in Denver many people..mostly gals.... volunteered to cheer for us.. we really appreciated that and were thankful for their support.

Boston stays being a strong squad...now last year the first round sucked against Denver, Boston was too nervous n they definately had home advantage. It didn't matter that Boston got beat by Denver, but getting beat by a wack ass team is annnoying. I love the way the Denver team shoots balls, feet flying crazy in the air, the officials for that round sucked, them white brothers. But whatever u guys won, by luck n everyone knows that. We proved that when Nebraska literally KILLED the very same wack ass Denver team...n believe me Nebraska had a good team, aggressive and fearless guards and big guys. Fortunately Boston got used to the court on the second game and took out Nebraska. So what duz that say. Boston squad is sick, though they lack aggressive centers and pf, the guards are i think the best in the whole tourney.
As for youngs representing the south, chigga please. Just cuz Dallas won, let me tell you, That Dallas team, as a team sucked worse than DC, but they had that star player Saurav, this guy was scorin 90% of the shots. N if he's there next year, watch out.
So please, don't rep the dirty south, cuz everyone knows, wack teams get no respect...and y'all wack.
As for Boston team try outs. Please come and bring your game, play full court, half court, just whatever you can bring. Eventually 12 players will be chosen, depending on dedication and skill. The coach is still not up yet so whoever thinks they can handle that please go ahead. This year the original starting five won't be playing so everything is open for grabs. And though a competitive attitude is required, remember it's all for fun.

Baller is my BRo.. and he is the best center amongst the Nepalese ballers here in the States. AAha.... now someone will really get jealous. With Denver's winning the game... I had already posted a huge article above and so did my bro Johnny. By the way, Denver relied on perimeter shooting. They made around 6-7 three pointers. That's it. You cannot blame the center for that. And oh yeah... oUR Backup center is GOOD too.
ANd yes Lakshmi JIIIIIIIIII you do sound very annoying. Haha HEAven might fall over you. Watchout. It's better to shut up when you lose your ground. Rather than bitching around for no obvious reasons, it's advisable that you do some better things.

Sorry yes, the only starter still playing is baller. i hear a lot of talk on this thread bout ballin. Now's ur chance to show off ur ball handlin'. If you can get past the original starting five who will help us practice, consider yourself in. What's in it for you, you ask? Well i'll have you know, the Boston fans are very dedicated and lively. I remember in DC and in Denver random Boston people came up to us while we were off the court doing random things and congratulated us on representing Boston. I tell you it's those small things that really make you feel like you're doing something back for your community...n i thought i was just playing ball. Just imagine being in the court, millions...no thousands....ok hundreds...fine...a lot of loud people cheering for you. Well if these reasons aren't enough to bring you down, then fine i'll buy you a drinkn at the bar.

First of all, the only reason Dallas won is because Suarav from Arizona played in their team. That's sad, they had to recruit him since they didn't have good players in the team. So 95% of the reason why dallas won was because of Saurav. Laskhmi, I am sorry kanchi but Saurav who was the MVP, isn't playing for Dallas this year. So go tell ur dallas team to avoid the embrassment of getting blown away in ANA.

We won because it was a good team effort, not just saurav..and saurav told us last year that he would be playing for us again. arizona does not even have a team..so stop makin up bullshit..but to beat you guys we dont even need him, i could get on the court with 4 of my other homegyrls as teammates and we could beat your men's team from boston..WNBA -style

By the way, WHy is everyone making a big deal about DALLAs? Just because they are the defending champs?? did they ever play against Boston?? NO sir. Then why the F*^? Hehe hehe. Oh yeah they have a good team (maybe), they had a good team. THey won. And damn Saurav played like a MVP and did all the scoring. that's really sad. nepaliballer..i know bout basketball.i play for my high school team..we got second place out of all the other girl's teams in the region..one game i made 7 out of 8 free throws...which means i am better than shaq...because he makes only 50 percent.but that is beside the point..do you play basketball???...i bet you dont even play you just talk on sajha..and how in the hell would saurav know you if you live in boston and you didnt even play in the game.anyways..yes, he is really good player..but we have a good team and arizona wont...so we'll beat them first and then humiliate you..and dont talk to me like i cant play cause i am a girl...i bet you i could beat you one on one....you cant stop my 3 pointers...they call me Long Range Lakshmi cause i drop bombs from the outside..hater

first of all, never equate yourself with shaq, for he is a powerful force unmatched by any in the NBA, WNBA, NBDL, NBA (Nepalese Basketball Association), or any European League. His finesse is exquisite, he's so graceful, like a ballerina...but that doesn't matter...
my main point is how you downplay the skill of saurav...let me just tell you this, dude seriously got skills, game, ass, and anything else you wanna mention
don't believe me? i will be one of the players on Arizona's team...i have played with the legendary man and i will offer these few points of excellence on his behalf:
once, in a fullcourt game that included the likes of ike diogu and todd bibby (mike's lil bro) serving as the opposition, saurav finished the game with a stunning dunk...i shot a three pointer and missed, the ball bounced off the rim, and low and behold, saurav stormed in, lept up and grabbed the ball in midair, had it cocked back, and slammed it down...this is true my friends
in one of his many fruitful highschool games he did so well that they were forced to stop the game 29 minutes into it...at this point he had accumulated FORTY-SIX POINTS...yes...46 points in 29 minutes, truly a feat worthy of recognition
i tell you these things to show you how you underestimate saurav...he is the pivotal force on our team, under his leadership we shall attain victory...and you, lakshmi, why you shall be in our dust!

Obviously on some occassions even SHaq shot better than youu. Trust me I am a better shooter than SHaq from FT line. My average is like 70% while Shaq's career avg. is about 55%. But FG.. damn SHaq is the best in the league..... Don't even dare to compare.
Hhahaha... by the way MY bro.. Nepaliballer hit all the FTs in last year's ANA convention games. that was like 9 of 9 in two games combined. Statistically... Baller is bit better than you in that (FT) category. So,, you better watch your mouth when you think about playing ONE on One against him. My bro iis 6'1" ..maybe he grew taller (got milk bro).. and I can tell you ain't taller than 5'5"... So.... you want to play one on one against him. IS that to embarass him.. or to have the pleasure of playing against one of the best Nep-player in the US.. or just that you feel like you will have pride in just playing against him??? well.. goodluck... Coz Baller already had bunch of gals waiting for that opporunity.

How dare you lecture me about free throws and who is good and who is not..i would have played in ANA but the other girls there provide me no competition, because frankly, all of them are pretty bad..anyways, ya'll are lucky that the tourney is not co-ed else you would find out why they call me long range lakshmi.. Dont assume i can't play cause I am a gyrl....Look bucko, I have major universities recruiting me and i have been offered athletic scholarships from 4 big time programs so i dont have anything to prove to you as far as that is concerned...this is my message to you, baller or anyone on that boston team: if any of you dare step on the court with me and play me one on one YOU WILL LOSE...you can go back to boston and tell your parents that you lost to a girl who stands barely 5'6 and weighs 112 lbs...see thats the thing once I start busting threes on you guys, you are all at my mercy...so although i may have a tough time guarding your post ups due to my size...ill be more than happy to exchange your 2 pointers for my 3 pointers....as far as that arizona guy talking crap, dallas is gonna destroy your team...although I appreciate that saurav brought us a championship last year...tell him this year he is going down....and if the ana committee ever makes these tournies co-ed I will show you all why girls are better than boys..haters

Proudnepali...u are really immature..i was just giving u a description of my game..you dont have to try to make fun of me or tell me to dream, etc...i have confidence in my abilities as a basketball players...and you sir, keep trying to say i cant play....ok, whateva talk to the hand...anyways, ill tell you why i dont like to play aginst girls unless if they are at least college-level...the final high school game of the year..these are my stats....12-15 fgs (8-10 3-pts), 7-8 fts...39 pts, 26 reb, 16 ast, 14 blk, 8 stl...My coach told me I had acheivied something called a "quadruple-double"...I didnt even know what that was at first...cause I had only heard of triple doubles....and I was 2 stl away from getting a quintuple double..see, but that is why i dont like to play against other girls unless they are near my caliber, cause usually i beat them effortlessly...i am not saying i am the best, cause there have been men who have beat me one on one...and ill admit that...but almost all the men who have beat me were at one time or another division 1 players...and i can guarantee i would never lose to a bunch of nepalese that only play recreationally...i take this sport serious as i have played organized ball since i was 5..i know all the nuances and intricasies of the sport as far as the pick and roll and cuts, etc are concerned..my only regret as far as basketball is that i have never come close to dunking but that is largely due to the fact that i am 5'6...cause if i was a couple inches taller...not only would i bust 3's on all you haters, i would dunk on you too...then i would yell "in your face!"..you know what i look like, ill be floating around the courts at ana during your men's game...and if i find out that you are there too...you better believe we are gonna go one on one...i will humiliate you publicly...then we will see if you still think I am dreamin..lol

I challenge u to get the best Nepali basketball player in dalllas and play me one on one. All this talk is crap, u know nothing about me kanchi. I've lived in the US for 12 years and i've been playing basketball for 10 years. I played for for my elementry team and got mvp ( i have the trophy to prove it). No i didn't play basketball in highschool, i played american football. I know Saurav from one of my friends in Boston. So since u are willing to tell us your basketball skills here why don't u prove it on the court this ANA. So enough with all this crap, bring the best nepali basketball player in dallas and tell him he's playing one on one with the great one.

Lakshmi if you really want to play against NepaliBaller or ProudNepali (pick one or both), you set up a date and time during ANA and they can meet you there. No offence to you but I’ll be there cheering for Baller and Proud. You guys can play one on one. Baller and ProudNepali will do their thing and you can do your thing (3 pointer). That way we all will get to see who is better. Winner will be THE GREAT ONE and loser can stop talking B-SHITTT and admit the other person is better them him/her. I don’t know how good you play coz I haven’t see you but I have seen Baller and he is one of the best Nepalis B-Ball player in US.

Frist of all it was in 8th grade, still that doesn't matter. I didn't persue a career in basketball so i didn't play in college. I think u a dude pertending to be a girl. As for a college recruiting u hahaha, please that's just wishfull thinking. My 4 year old cousin can kick in ass in basketball haha. I made a challlege and yet u have not answered. And as to your objections/inquiries/cries........ and all the blah blah blah... Lakshmi, I do not give a shit to whatever your records are (even if they were for real). You see you have faith in your abilities, so do I. You are more than welcome to play for the Dallas team, if you wish I will make a personal request on the behalf of the team from Boston (see I cannot speak for others) to the ANA people or whoever is concerned. IF you choose to play one-on-one that's fine also. My bro baller had made a deal.. you decide about that. As of playing against me, you can make the deal. But make sure you play for any of the girls team (i am sure there won't be many) and win the tourney, prove that you are the best out there. That way I will have no problems playing against you or any other gals with proven talent. Otherwise it will sound rather Gayish to play against a girl in the crowd.
Even if you were 5'8" I don't think you can dunk the ball. touching the rim is one thing.. dunking is another.Even NBA players under 5'11" do not get to dunk. So accept that fact.
I will be really proud of you if you had accomplished anything in the game of Basketball. Again, that will remain insignificant as long as you wish to play against men. Basketball is a sport of skills and executions yet phsyique (physical conditioning) has a lot to do in it. Not trying to say that girls are physically weak, but yet not strong enough to compete against men. That's the truth. Accept it.
They tried to play female golf players against men.. yet none could pass the qualifiying scores. there's no physical contact in golf so one cannot even compare the game of golf with Basketball, soccer, or any other major sports (except tennis). Oh yeah you might be able to beat some guys out there.. but when you are talking about the game of basketball, you are talking about playing against basketball players. I my self play basketball for fun.. but I play it whenver I get chance (not just couple of months in summer). I have a good feel for the game. I didn't play for high school or college or for any professional purposes yet I had played against the guys who play in all of the above categories. Due to my size I do not play center or Power forward but I do the assignments I am supposed to do.
Make a request to the ANA people, and I can do it for you also. See how it goes.
I like your aggressiveness and feel for the came. Still when it comes down to playing the game, those things become less relevant.
Could you verify if the picture posted by Nattu and ROhini_a in another thread ins you. Must be you because only you can post the picture.
