Recently we read a news item about hundreds of Nepalis being detained by Malaysian authorities due to fake visa. Well from the following new report in Kantipur, it seems 2 employees of malaysian embassy were making those fake visas. What is going to happen now? Malaysian embassy staff in visa racket: Police Nepal Police on Tuesday seized a fake visa-stamping machine from the residence of two employees of the Malaysian Embassy, according to media reports. Police also found fax machines, a computer and other documents. The Kathmandu Post reported that the two embassy staffers, named John and Lee, are missing. The police have arrested Mingma Tshering Sherpa and a Chinese citizen named Wu suspecting their involvement in the fraud. Nearly 100 Nepalis were detained and deported from Kuala Lumpur airport earlier this week after their Malaysian visas obtained in Kathmandu were found to be fake. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday instructed the Nepali mission in Kuala Lumpur to seek details of the Nepalis detained there.
