Indian Foreign Minister Jashwanta Singh is set to arrive KTM this Bhadra 4th. It is a tumultous moment in our history, and we need a good friend in south. We need Indian cooperation in a lot of fields. We want them not to be another Taleban and destroy Lumbini. We want them to allow our industries to sell their products in India, just as we let them to sell their shoddy stuffs in Nepal. We want them not to be bully. Let's see what happens. -----**********------- Last week, in Illinois, I listened one alternative theory about regicide of June 1st. Thought might be interesting for others too. This theory is told by a few indians studying in UIUC, whose relatives are in RAW(claimed). The same force which killed the king's family is now set to make king Gyanendra weak. It staged the killing in such a way that people has to be suspicious of the recent king. There is only one force that benefits by killing a patriot king and by making the only one stable institute of Nepal weak: You can guess what is that. When ex-PM Girija was notified of the incident in midnight, he called the boss of that force fearing a coup was staged, and the boss replied" Don't worry, the king was killed in the royal palace."Girija hasn't refuted that yet. Well, past is past. We better make our country safe now by being united and strong. As long as we are united, as long as we believe in ourselves and we don't hate each others just for our petty interest, we can be strong and safe. Otherwise, there will rarely be any Nepal left for us to mourn of or to quarrel in. Sabailai Chetana Bhayaa.. ---------***********-------------- Even the most dullard one also rejects the notion that chief election commissioner resigned (a whopping 4 yrs prematurely) just to retire, and play with his grandchildren. He did great job by trying to make our elections better, and fairer. Those who know him personally say he is a patriotic, and amiable fellow, and here is best wishes for him in his senior years. It is not hidden that the country is not in a condition to hold the next local election on time. Maoist terror is in peak, and people will be afraid to give candidacy in the next election, which should be held in 2059. What can one chief election commissioner do in such situation? Retire. We know that local elections are the backbone of democracy, and they let the system permeate through the villages. We got to have those elections on time: fair and punctual elections are the only form of government in democracy.

Dear Biswo: Are you from Chitwan, thats great place indeed I spent 2years of good old days. Chitwan will be next hub of Nepal. Chitwan always remained always voltile in the political perspective, and is United States of Nepal. If anything, can not happen in Chitwan, it can not happen in rest of the country, as peoples say its 76th District of Nepal. From good ideas to bad ideas Chitwan had demonstrated always ahead. Good one that I liked was Mr. Bhim Shrestha, the former Savapati of Chitwan district was always fighting against Panchayat while holding seats in Pnachayat, In 2036 , 2046 and now too Chitwan has a better contribution, except the Hritik Roshan that is said to be originated from Chitwan. So, my point is that its better not to diffuse the rumors that does not have enough trustable contents (not the way TKP writes articles based on "reliable sources" throughout article, no names, no real identity of those resources, and in fact all rumors, and fake stories). Its the time we mourn, heel and move ahead, well, if valid points do exist, I will surely like to appreciate, but, intellectuals from Nepal are expected show some wiseness in controlling the Bheda like uneducated mass that is now fully controlled by Vandalizers and Intellectual Prostitutes in Nepal. We need to get rid of those rumors run by present VIPs of Nepal. We need to get rid of first those Nepali VIPs who run rumors from nothing as we have witnessd in HR case. Not meant to be offensive to you. GP

GPji: Thanks for your complementary view about Chitwan. It has many potentials. Its economy is robust, and it is quite capable of sustaining its tourism even when the nation is bearing the brunt of slack in tourist arrival, because Chitwan is benefitting from the new trend in internal tourism. As for hero of Chitwan, I don't really think Bhim Bdr Shrestha is the hero. The real hero of Chitwan are those immigrants who descended there from hill, those Tharus who warmheartedly accepted them without creating any communal tensions. There are yet to be any influential politicians to whom we can look upon and say, hey that is my hero. And despite its structural harmony, Chitwan is still likely to plunge in chaos of communal disharmony if we are not vigilante enough to prevent such occurences. I don't know which rumour you are talking about. The involvement of a third party is not something I believe in. I met a guy in Chicago who just returned from Nepal. See, I believe June 1 incident is an open-and-shut case, and Dipendra killed them all.But he told me he went to Nepal thinking the same way as I did, but became confused to find 99% of Nepali laughing off this idea.Even " taxi-driver" laughed off him: he said. So, I thought it might be interested for somebody to hear what Indian role might have been in this case. As for Girija calling Atal Bihari Bajpeyi that night, this is confirmed by even Nepali Congress MP (I don't want to name him here, but he was even a minister of state before) in a personal talk. Girija is quite capable of doing that. And see, he hadn't refuted that yet. This person is a travesty of democracy. He run Nepal for most of the post-democracy era, and see how.
