Thousands are born singer, hundreds of them actually make it, and One of them can be like Norah Jone. Daughter of Sue Jones, and grew up in Dallas suburb, this jazz singer has amazing voice and potential. When you Listen to her songs, it just calls you loud and aloud, to "come away with" her and carries you away. Her music videos are also classic looking, thoughtful , instead of just bobbies flying all around. Just wanted to write few words to praise this singer, becuase "SHE" is Norah Jones. Yes, Norah Jones is music to so many ears. Her music is created so well and her voice has magic. I started listening to her about year and half ago..usually in morning on my way to school...so amazing..brings lot of peace....Good luck for the girl..She is doing justice to her great musical genes..no wonder she is Ravi Shankar's daughter.. |

Yes Ravi Shanker was her BIological Father, but he doesnt have ANYTHING to do with her musical accomplishments, it was just her mother and her and i aslo think its unreasonable to mention his name in here, to become a father, just giving birth to a child isnt enough! |

Ravi Shankar never helped Norah Jones accomplish what she has and never looked at her like her own daughter. So he has nothing to do with it, he was a worse father, and no son/daughter in this world would like to accept him as one. If Bastards are as like Norah Jones, then i praise all those bastards. |

so what started out as a pretty nice thread has been used as a dumping ground for one's bitterness.. if you don't have the capability to appreciate beauty, don't go slandering it either.. agreed that definition of beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, but if your ideas seem to differ from others, there is no need to go on this demeaning rampage.. I personally am not a fan of Norah Jone's music... although I do like some of her songs.. I do think that she is very talented and is an great artist....what difference does it make what her personal background is? So what if she was born out of wedlock? Does that make her any less of an artist? Does it make her any less of a human being or should she have less right to explore her potential and talent and be creative? Stop sounding so condescending and miserable.. go explore your own potential.. maybe you can come out with something good.. rather than moaning and groaning and trying to find fault's with someone/something that's perfectly good.. Norah Jones -> a very soothing voice! When I listen to her voice, I feel like there is so much in that voice...just like when U would look at someone's life and say, she/he's been thru a lot in life!...her voice conveys faaaaaaaaar away dark (hurting/or not) mysteries, which she only knows perhaps!
