Tourism industry in Nepal is one of most important sector that contribute wealth to the country.After the massacre of the roayal family and the maoist insgurant, there was a dramtic fall in the number of tourist giving Nepal a skip as thier holiday destination.
Need to understand how is the tourism industry fairing right now in Nepal.

I heard in the latest news that tourist has gone up by 46 percent, whether that figure is true or not.

Few months back I read Nepali Times article which talked about the same issue. I was dazed and amazed to read a gentleman who belonged to a tourism industry telling that the Maoist conflict indeed scared away the potential tourists and at the same time he also told that currently the tourists are coming to Nepal because to the Maoist conflict.
Reason: to see, meet and learn about the rebels encouraged and amazed by the fact that it is one the most unique war in the history of the world where 10,000 Nepalese killed each other and did not physically harm a single foreigner intentionally.
