Neural, ho. I don't know how many times I watched Sholay. But I guess I used to remember almost all of the dialogues.(Among English movie, I probably remember almost all of the dialogues of Patton (1970) ) How about the dialogue between the mousi of Hema Malini and Amitabh when Amitabh went to ask the 'hand' of Hema for Dharmendra? Starting from mera dost waise to buraa nahi hai, lekin kabhi kabhi sharaab pitaa hai.. |

oys, yahaa se tis kosh dur jab koi bachchaa rotaa hai to uski maa kahati hai, so jaa bete, warnaa gabbar singh aajaayegaa. Aur tum haraamjaado.. Shambaa, is me kitni goli he? 6 sarkaar. Aur tum tin log. Naainsaafi, bahut naainsaafi ..... .Biswo, u r right. From that movie, HE was being called "AN ANGRY MAN" Hey, PC ji, very nice one.. good update... i need to revise all. Veeru @ water tank ko photo chhaina? DWI, yeah. This was the first 70 mm hindi movie and ran for continuously for 5 yrs in one of the Bombay theatres. And, DANNY DENZONGPA was offered for the role of Gabbar at first. However, he denied. Would Danny have been there as Gabbar, KYA BACHEY SOTEY, GABBAR (Danny) KEE DARR SEY?? |

Danny was commited to his buddy Feroz KHan's "Dharmatma" so he couldn't quite take on Sippy's offer. Imamsaab: Jaante ho duniya mein sabse bada bhoj kya hota hai? Baap ke kandhe par bete ka janaza. Gabbar:Jo dar gaya samjho mar gaya! Basanti: "Kyunke mujhe befuzool baat karne ki aadat to hai nahin" Accordingly, last week, while expressing support for the Congress, Asrani repeated the Sholay dialogue, "Thode idhar jao, thode udhar jao and baki Congress ke peeche aao." P.S. Biswo, Gabbar was firng off a revolver which has chambers and not magazines. |

Neural Amitabh was called Angry young man after his first hit, Zanzeer not Kalapatthar. Right about Danny. I also heard that initially Dharmendra wanted Jaya's role. But he woldn't tolerate somebody else pairing against Basanti (Hema) while he is in the same movie. One thing comes to my mind: What is the Best Nepali Movie Ever? Should we start a new thread for this? |

LOL, this thread is funny!! Danny is awesome actor with his awesome one liners like "teri maa ko apni maa kahoon?" , "teri jaat ka kutta paaloon?", "teri maa ki aankh" LOL!! Do you know Dev Anand was supposed to do the role of Amitabh Bachchan? Well after the superhit "Jhonny Mera Naam", Dev Anand was an action figure who could bash 32 junior villain in one take. He wanted to do Sholay, but there was a problem... He had to ride a horse? Dev Anand and Horse? Screw horse!! LOL... He opted out of the movie ... that's when Amitab stepped in with the help of Dharmendra, who was already a superstar. Few months before Sholay was released, Amitab became a superstar with his "Deewar"... back in 1975... and couple of months later there was sholay! ;) Shoot, I wish I knew more about the classes I take than the movies :P |

Have you guys ever paid 100 % attention Govinda's dialogue ?? if not then better listen to his dialogues clearly .Because I do not understand whether his dialogues are written first or he just say whatever he feels like while shooting . in one movie (forgot the name ) .....he is cursing at villian . For all the fans of Sholay, On your next trip to New Delhi, you can visit the Sholay Pub (Restuarant). Is popular, any autodriver will take you there. Pub looks like Gufa, all dakus as waiters, Gabbar lookalike as counterman. Abbe Sammbha yis Thanur ko ek chiken tandori aur do bottle beer mar to.
