The ongoing protest against the monarch and the activeness of the maoist throughout the country have made the country like an anti-peace zone. Here, I am not going to talk about the moaist rebels but I want to have your attention on the protesters from different political groups. As everybody knows that this is not the first time that the protestors are doing 'andolans' against monarch but it happened before too. I want to recall the days when there was a restoration of democracy, people all over the country were thinking that they got peace and freedom. But, no political party was able to make the developmental works as expected by the people. Also the conflict among different political parties had made the country like a hell. The political leaders were busy in benefitting themselves not concerning about the people and the development of the country.

Today also it seems like repeating the same process as before. Many people from different parts of the country are actively taking part in the protest but what will they get even if the democracy will come? Again one of the political parties will come as a government and the leaders of that party will nothing do to the people rather they will do whatever that benefits them. The situation of the people will remain the same (or even wrose). Before, living a supressed life under the monarch later under the political leaders.

I am sure that the minds of the leaders of different political parties are clear about their future aim and that is regaining power and benefitting them. Meeting the king several times when they are called for the 'darshanbhet' also reflects the same thing that they (political leaders) are battling for the power. Even different intelligent people of the society also do feel grateful when they are called for the 'darshanbhet'. In this situation, it is really a fool thinking that the people of Nepal will get full democracy shortly.
I don't know how much right is my perception. So please post your comments.

Democracy for me, period. Do you want to live as slaves, but in peace, like your (and mine) forefathers have done for centuries? Good luck to you. But there are enough number of young people who think otherwise. Best of luck to those bright ones.
